T-ara’s Hyomin gets a new nickname, ‘Horromi’

T-ara’s Hyomin will soon be making her movie debut through “Gisaeng Ryung“. Since ‘Gisaeng Ryung’ is a horror flick, Hyomin gained a new nickname: ‘Horromi’.

Her company said that the nickname was a combination of “horror queen” and “gui-yo-mi“, a saying that’s used to describe something cute. Even though she’s shooting a scary movie, Hyomin still managed to add aegyo into her role.

Still shots from the movie give us a quick look into her character ‘Yurin’, a girl who wants to be #1 in everything. She is a straight-A student and is very proud of it. Other pictures show a very cutesy girl with heart pillows and teddy bears.

The movie is preparing to hit theatres in August.

T-ara reveals jacket photos for “Roly-Poly”

T-ara has just unveiled the jacket covers for their upcoming album, “John Travolta Wannabe“!

Reportedly, the girls recorded the music video for their title track, “Roly-Poly“, overnight on June 18th, and simultaneously shot their album jacket photos.

The album name is supposed to express a nostalgia for John Travolta’s hit movie, “Saturday Night Fever“. “Roly-Poly” carries out this feeling by utilizing a disco beat that’s reminiscent of 80’s music. It’s also said that the album will include five remixed songs from T-ara’s last album.

The choreography will see 20 backup dancers on stage performing moves from the 70’s and 80’s; T-ara enlisted the help of choreographer Seo Byung Gu, who’s said to be a master of 80’s dance in Korea.

T-ara will have their comeback on July 1st, so stay tuned to allkpop for more updates!

4minute's Jiyoon to join "Immortal song 2"

4minute’s Jun Jiyoon has just announced that she will be joining the cast of KBS’s idol music show, “Immortal Song 2“.

Because SECRET member Song Ji Eun is temporarily withdrawing from the show, Jiyoon will be acting as her replacement. PD Kwon Jae Young explained her leave with, “SECRET has Japanese promotions scheduled for July so she was set to leave the show from the start. She will be returning around September once her Japanese promotions are finished.”

The PD then went to explain why the program chose 4minute’s Jiyoon, ”Jun Jiyoon gives the feel of a hidden gem in 4minute.” Because the program aims to dispel the stereotypes surrounding idol singers, the PD felt that Jiyoon was the perfect match as a new addition.

Jiyoon will begin filming for the show on June 27th.

T-ara's Hyomin new horror queen nickname "Horomi"

T-ara's Hyomin has gotten the new nickname of "Horomi" after making her big screen debut in "Gisaeng Ryung".

The movie's publisher Core Contents Media said that "Horomi" is a mix of "Horror Queen" and "Gwiyomi" (cute) combined, because although she was in a scary horror movie, she was charming and cute.. thus receiving the nickname.

In the photos released of her, Hyomin was holding an exemplary student certificate with a smile. In another, there was a heart cushion and bear in the background as Hyomin made a heart. The other is a picture of her feeding the bear, which shows Hyomin in a more comic view.

The last picture was released as a bonus where a staff member is posing with his thumb towards Hyomin in the picture. "Gisaeng Ryung" is about the wrongful death of a child and how the soul enters another person's body. The horror movie is scheduled for an August release.

T-ara's main vocal So Yeon shared 2 new selcas on her Twitter.She mentioned that they have been filming for 30 hours already,so she was pretty exhausted!

f(x) pulls of Vivid Fluorecent Colors their Summer Fashion on Music Core

Girl group f(x) showcased a lot of blinding vivid colors to showcase their summer fashion.

On MBC Show! Music Core which was broadcasted on June 18, f(x) performed their follow-up song HOT SUMMER.

Today, the f(x) members wore the hottest fashion items in vivid colors in order to match the summer theme.

Member Krystal wore a sleeveless polka-dotted blouse and matching blue hot pants. Victoria's one piece was a mix of black and white which she wore alongside her vivid pink bolero. Luna sported a pair of black hot pants together with a pink jacket and a white t-shirt, completing her vivid style. Sulli had a bling bling light green and black sequined one piece on, which revealed her legs. Finally, Amber wore a white outfit with matching light green t-shirt. Overall, all the members' outfits blend in well together, making it a light and cheerful atmosphere.

T-ara reveals their "Roly Poly" jacket images

T-ara's new album "John Travolta Wannabe" has released jacket pictures.

T-ara was shooting their new album's title song music video and jacket images for "RolyPoly" over the 18th and 19th. T-ara's agency said on the 20th that there are over 1,000 images, creating even more expectations for the new album.

According to T-ara's agency, their title track "RolyPoly" has an easy melody arrangement and choreography to follow along, and will also be able to appeal to people in their 20's-50's. It will be a reminiscence of the 70's and 80's period and will be able to cause nostalgia for some.

A total of 20 people joined on stage for T-ara's choreography. They will re-create the 70's and 80's retro dances such as the hustle, diamond dance and ABC - basically the dances that were in the movie "Saturday Night Fever" will be re-made.

Meanwhile, T-ara will comeback on July 1st and are busy preparing for their Japan debut.
