T-ara’s Boram concerns fans with latest Twitter update

T-ara‘s Boram has raised some alarms with her fans with her recent Twitter message.

On January 3rd, she wrote, “I feel like I’m going to explode on the inside. But what I hate more than that is the heavy, depressed feeling I get whenever I feel that way. I’m a little, no, really sad. I’m upset with myself at having to hold in my cries on my own as well as swallow down pills in order to keep myself from being sick.”

Concerned netizens commented, “I did hear that Boram was taking medicine because she was sick,” “How stressed must she be to even tweet this,” and “She must be going through a really hard time…”

KARA makes a small mistake at NHK’s ‘Kohaku Uta Gassen’

On December 31st, girl group KARA performed at the 62nd annual ‘Kohaku Uta Gassen‘ for the very first time.

The Red & White Music Festival airs live every New Year’s Eve through NHK in Japan, and it is an event in which all the top J-pop stars gather to perform.

KARA was honored the opportunity of performing alongside Japan’s most elite and were being introduced by the MCs at the event, but members Nicole and Jiyoung made a small mistake before the interview.

The girls had no idea the cameras were already rolling, and they began doing a microphone test. The girls realized this a few moments later and could not hide their embarrassment. Nicole especially looked surprised at her own innocent mistake, but the girls were able to belt out their performance like professionals.

In related news, Girls’ Generation & TVXQ were also at the event representing artists from Korea.

T-ara’s Eunjung tweets about her injured ankle from ‘MBC Gayo Daejaejun’

T-ara‘s Eunjung shocked fans when she stood on stage with pink slippers during 2011 MBC ‘Gayo Daejaejun‘.

Eunjung was selected to be one of the emcees for the ’2011 MBC Gayo Daejaejun’ which was broadcasted live on December 31st. While Eunjung’s fellow MCs dressed in elegant fashion for the event, Eunjung was captured wearing questionable pink slippers with her beautiful long dress.

Many viewers were amused at the fashion choice, and Eunjung later explained, “I was wearing the pink slippers during MBC’s ‘Gayo Daejaejun’ because I accidentally tripped while going down the stairs.”

She also added, “They told me that they wouldn’t do a full-shot so I was also surprised when I saw the screen… hot pink slippers with a black dress… I guess it could have been worse.”

On January 2nd, Eunjung shared an updated about her sprained ankle while on the set of her drama, ‘Queen Insoo‘. ”Currently shooting for ‘Queen Insoo,” she said. “I’m constantly massaging my ankle while chanting, ‘Get a hold of  yourself, please heal ankle’. Every year at about the same time of year, I become a slave to crutches. Pray for me so that it can heal faster! Complaining while I’m massaging my ankle.”

In the pictures, Eunjung is wearing a white hanbok while resting her ankle on the desk. Netizens sympathized as Eunjung pouted over her bandaged injury.

T-ara sweeps charts with "Lovey Dovey"

Following the epic movie-music video for "Lovey Dovey" and MV teaser for "Lovey Dovey in Tokyo", T-ara has finally released their latest album "Funky Town" and is currently making a sound on various charts.

Just after its release on January 3rd, T-ara's latest title track, "Lovey Dovey" immediately swept various online charts. The song topped the charts including Naver, Daum, Mnet, Cyworld, Monkey3, MelOn, Bugs, Dosirakand Soribada, proving the group's incredible popularity.

In addition, the music video for "Lovey Dovey", starring actors Cha Seungwon, Ji Changwook and membersJiyeon, Qri, Eunjung and Hyomin, is also one of the most-watched videos on various multimedia websites.

The album "Funky Town" is comprised of eight tracks including "Lovey Dovey", "Cry Cry (Ballad Version)" and "We Were in Love". Some tracks from their mini album such as "Goodbye, Ok", "O My God" and "I'm So Bad" are included as well.

Super Junior to perform in Taiwan next month, tickets sold out in 17 minutes breaking Taipei Arena's sales history!

South Korean boy band Super Junior (SJ) will be performing at the Taipei Arena starting 3rd of February as part of their Super Show 4 World Tour itinerary, concert tickets for the 5th of February show went on sale on New Year’s Eve and 10000 tickets were sold out in 30 minutes while the 20000 tickets allocated for the 3rd and 4th of February show sold out in just 17 minutes, creating the fastest selling concert record in Taiwan, all three shows of SS4 is estimated to rake in an income of 105 million NTD.

SJ attended “2011 MBC Gayo Daejun” last night alongside T-ara, BEAST and other idol groups, at the same time, their Taiwan fans staged a great battle for their SS4 concert tickets. SJ’s 4th World Tour in Taiwan consists of three individual shows and the tickets for the individual shows went on sale at the 7-11 convenience stores nationwide on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day afternoon, many fans countdown to the new year at the convenience store while some chose to spend the night at the convenience store after the countdown in order to purchase the tickets.

Fans complained about the expensive ticket prices but there was still a craze to secure the tickets

SJ’s 4th World Tour’s most expensive ticket is priced at 4800NTD each, some fans complained that the ticket prices were approximately 300NTD more expensive compared to last year’s Super Show 3, and if they were to purchase tickets for all three shows, they will be forking out up to 1500NTD more. The concert organizers “Super Dome” expressed that due to the stage set up which includes the use of water, fire and other special effects, the production cost has consequently increased, the ticket prices for SS4 Seoul has also increased and Taiwan’s stop will require more equipments and hence the organizers have no choice but to increase the ticket prices.

Despite the complaints, there was still the craze to secure the tickets, the tickets that went on sale yesterday afternoon for the 3rd and 4th of February show, were sold out in 17 minutes, fans were hoping that there will be an additional show and in regards to that, the concert organizers said that they will discuss with the Korean counterparts to decide if it would be possible to have an additional show.

KARA's maknae Jiyoung welcomed the brand new year with high spirits!

On January 2nd, she uploaded a set of photos on her Twitter with caption, "Jumping jumping !!!!" In the photos, Jiyoung is seen on her comfortable outfits. She looks casual on her simple sweater, cap and tattered jeans. It's good to see the maknae having a delightful time after their full-packed year-end schedule.

KARA : 'We Grew Up During Extremely Busy Schedule For A Year'

KARA expressed their feelings after holding a rehearsal for the NHK Red & White Year End Song Festival.

Girl groups Girls' Generation and KARA participated in the rehearsal for the 62nd NHK Red & White Year End Song Festival held in NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 29th. At first, Girls' Generation appeared and checked the sound and their positions on the stage while presenting a splendid performance with their Japanese debut song “Genie.” Then KARA presented their hit songs “Jet Coaster Love” and “Mister” with cute dance movements.

KARA held a press conference after the rehearsal, and Seungyeon said, “We had gone through many things for a year and it was like riding a jet coaster.” Nicole said, “We were coming and going between Korea and Japan due to the busy schedule, but we could grow up for a year.” Kang Jiyoung said, “I am very glad that we could show KARA to more people with our appearance in the NHK Red & White Year End Song Festival.” And Goo Hara said, “ All five KARA members will do our best next year. Please keep your attention on us.”

Core Contents Media assures that Eunjung will be able to perform "Lovey Dovey"

After hearing Eunjung's unfortunate accident, fans were all anxious and curious if she would be able to take part on T-ara's follow up promotions for "Lovey Dovey".

On December 2nd, T-ara's agency, Core Contents Media guaranteed that Eunjung was fine. The agency stated, "Eunjung injured her ankle and was swollen. But her condition has taken a turn for the better so she will be able to perform the song and shoot the series Queen Insoo".

Eunjung served as the MC on the recent MBC Music Festival. While coming down the stairs, she accidentally lost her footing and fell which sprained her ankle.

Earlier, she revealed a photo of herself wearing a cast on the film set of her drama, "Queen Insoo".

Meanwhile, T-ara has released their much-anticipated "Lovey Dovey" movie-music video. The group will perform the song for the first time on KBS Music Bank on January 6th.
