Entertainment agencies begin face-to-face chats and restrict SNS use due to ‘T-ara shock’
With the industry now suffering from what has been nicknamed ‘T-ara Shock’, entertainment companies are busy trying to keep the fire away from their artists.
One industry official revealed, “In a situation like this, it’s dangerous to even be considered a topic of discussion with the public. We’re all trying to keep our artists on the down low to avoid ‘being caught in the rain’, so to speak.”
Several company officials have started sitting down with their idol group members to lend their ears to any problems they may be experiencing in the group. As they are all in their 20s at the oldest, it’s natural for problems to arise. Officials are using this case as an opportunity to turn the focus to each of their members and work to cut the problems at its roots before they grow into even bigger issues.
Unfortunately, some idols have been met with SNS bans, especially since T-ara’s controversy first erupted from their misuse of Twitter. Some officials have outright banned the use of social networking services to prevent misunderstandings from occurring. An official explained, “There have been a slew of articles coming out about famous figures talking about the T-ara case. It’s not good for anyone to take sides at a time like this so we’ve been restricting the use towards some of our SNS savvy members.”
Many have also taken Nichkhun‘s case into consideration and have gone as far as restricting the number of company outings where drinks are involved.
An official claimed, “About 80~90% of the accidents that occur in the entertainment industry happen right after a drinking party. At sensitive times like this, one problem can turn into a mistake you can’t turn back. That’s why we’ve been checking and making sure that all our members get safely home on time.”
Daewoo Securities remove Eunjung’s image from advertisements
With the furor surrounding T-ara, Core Contents Media, and Hwayoung escalating by the second, the advertisement industry has begun to respond to the controversy.
T-ara’s Eunjung, who’s the solo model for Daewoo Securities, will unfortunately be dropped from the company’s promotions.
A represenative of Daewoo Securities stated through a recent phone call with MyDaily, “We have decided to discontinue all promotional images of Eunjung, whose contract was supposed to expire at the end of September. The decision was made due to Eunjung being swept up in the recent controversy.”
The rep continued, “Eunjung’s CF contract already ended back in June. We have decided to drop all advertisements related to Eunjung like the images included in promotional materials, which were scheduled until the end of September.”
Sulli’s latest photo strongly resembles SHINee’s Taemin
On July 31st, Sulli uploaded the picture on the left onto her personal me2day and along with it wrote, “As always, summer calls for short hair! Do you all want to cut your hair too?~ Please support ‘To the Beautiful You‘ and Goo Jaehee♥. This is the unrevealed cut from the Vogue Girl photo shoot from last time huhu.”
Sulli is sporting a short boyish haircut as well as androgynous clothing for her upcoming role as Goo Jaehee and netizens have taken notice that her pale complexion and upright nose is similar to that of SHINee’s Taemin.
Fans left comments on the picture saying, “Sulli looks pretty even if she is dressed as a boy,” “Is this Taemin or Sulli?,” and “Cute! Are there any boys like that?”

T-ara postponed 11th August concert!
After the controversy with T-ara gets bigger, now they have announced that their concert on August 11th is postponed.
Core Contents Media made a press release today saying, "T-ara members and Kim Kwangsoo talked yesterday (31st) and agreed that because of the things happening, they will be unable to show a bright, fun, cheerful and positive image in front of the fans. They asked to postpone the concert until they can show a good image to fans."
Core Contents Media decided that they will postpone the concert to the end of the year. Refunds for ticket reservations will be announced later on Interpark.
Super Junior to release repackaged album "SPY"
After the successful release of 6th studio album ‘Sexy, Free & Single’, Super Junior is slated to release a repackaged album titled ‘SPY’. Nothing has been revealed regarding the concept, but the new album will be available on August 7th.
‘SPY’ will contain 14 tracks; including 10 tracks that are originally included in ‘Sexy, Free & Single’ album and four new ones. The new tracks include the title track “SPY”, “Outsider”, “Only U”, which was co-composed by Leeteuk as well as Donghae’s co-composed track, “Haru”.

f(x) releases short PV for Japanese "Hot Summer"
After releasing teaser photos earlier today, f(x) is prepping to heat up the summer season in Japan with a short PV for upcoming Japanese debut title track, “Hot Summer”!
f(x) will be releasing the Japanese version of their hit track “Hot Summer” in mid-August. The song was orginally listed in the repackaged version of their first full-length album ‘PINOCCHIO’ released last year.

Krystal replaces Eunjung as the new National Police Agency ambassador!
T-ara's Eunjung has been removed from the official website of he National Police Agency!
Eunjung's image has been removed and replaced by f(x)'s Krystal earlier today.
NPA's representative posted an official announcement on its website to apologize to visitors for the problem caused and mentioned that the old image has been replaced with a new one as shown below.
Eunjung "Thank you...and I'm sorry"
T-ara's Eunjung has left a heartfelt message.
On the 30th, Eunjung left a message on her official fansite "EunChanNet" that said "Thank you very much.. I'm sorry."
Since Hwayoung's contract with T-ara was terminated, this is the first statement from any of the others members of T-ara.
T-ara and Hwayoung shed tears last night!
Hwayoung and T-ara cry. Meeting each other every day, but today was different.
According to Core Contents Media, last night on July 31st, Hwayoung and her twin sister Hyoyoung came to Core Contents Media's office is Gangnam, Seoul to meet with Kim Kwangsoo.
Through a phone interview with Star News in the morning, Kim Kwangsoo admitted to meeting with Hwayoung and Hyoyoung.
He said, "I was surprised that Hwayoung came to the company last night, but we have already talked. After apologizing to the other members, staff, and fans and apologizing for breaking her promise and reflecting on her actions, Hwayoung burst in tears."
Followed by, "It broke my heart seeing Hwayoung cry. Seeing Hwayoung cry, I realized her heart has not had a break [from aching]."
CEO Kwangsoo said he first met with the T-ara members before Hwayoung came to the office. "The T-ara members also are saddened and shed tears over this incident," he said.
"The writings T-ara and Hwayoung wrote on Twitter without any meaning behind them have all caused a ripple effect. I talked frankly to all of them yesterday, and each of them shed tears," he also said.
"I hope the fans can give their love and keep watching T-ara and Hwayoung rather than posts on the Internet."
Kim Kwangsoo terminated Hwayoung's contract, but then quickly said there was a possibility to re-join.
Super Junior goes casual for @Star1!
That's right, 5 members of Super Junior are the new muses for @star1. Super Junior's, Donghae, Kyuhyun, Leeteuk, Yesung and Sungmin took a nice visit to the typical streets in Seoul, enjoying the warm weather for a simple yet charismatic photo shoot.
For the photoshoot, the boys wore comfortable clothes perfect for the warm humid weather and the boys get to ride bicycles around the narrow residential streets and visit local cafes and shops. Check out the rest of the photos below:

The girls will make their Japan debut with hit song Hot Summer,check out the photos taken during the MV filming.
Eunjung leaves a short message via her official fan café
On July 30th, the singer took to her fan café and wrote, “Thank you so much.. and I’m sorry.”
Her few words seem directed towards her fans, to whom she is apologetic that the controversy caused disappointment and shock, however, also grateful that a lot of them are still standing by her side.
