What makes 4minute’s HyunA and Jihyun contemplate quitting idol life?

4minute’s HyunA and Jihyun recently revealed what makes them think about quitting the idol life.

During an episode of “Bouquet“, when MC Kim Yong Man and Jung Hyung Don asked 4minute, “Was there ever a time when you wanted to quit being an idol?” Jihyun replied, “When I miss my parents.”

In particular, HyunA added, “When it’s my or their birthday, or during a festive day, my heart rips thinking about not being with them.” Other girl group members agreed to this and expressed their apologies to their parents.

f(x) holds an unexpected mini-fan meet in France during ‘f(x) Koala’ shoot


As you may recall, f(x) headed off to France to shoot an episode for their variety show “f(x) Koala“.

When the four members arrived at Eiffel Tower to film their last scene, they were met with a large group of fans who had found out about their schedule beforehand and had been waiting for them.

It was reported that there were so many fans present that the director had to pause filming in order for the girls to hold an impromptu ‘fan meet’ with their fans. The French fans shouted “Unnie you’re so pretty!“, and even sang along to f(x)’s songs in Korean.

Despite the cold weather, f(x) performed their hit track ‘NU ABO’, as a way of expressing their gratitude towards their fans, who were amazed to see them in person.

NS Yoon Ji takes selcas with younger cousin, KARA’s Jiyoung

Singer NS Yoon Ji recently revealed pictures with her younger cousin, KARA’s Kang Jiyoung.

On December 17th, NS Yoon Ji tweeted, “Together with the youngest ♡”, and uploaded two selcas with Jiyoung.

In the pictures, they put their faces side by side and brightly posed for the camera while doing V-signs and pouting their lips. The pictures particularly received attention due to the girls’ enormous eyes and V-line faces.

T-ara’s Jiyeon displays cute English pronunciation on ‘Jungle Fish 2′

T-ara’s Jiyeon recently surprised viewers with her unexpectedly good English skills on the 6th episode of the drama, ‘Jungle Fish 2′.

So Yeul (Jiyeon) is the student representative for Gahwa High School and was picked as the smartest and prettiest student in the whole school. Even after school hours, So Yeul stays behind and receives special lessons under the supervision of her teachers. In one of the scenes, she stands up in front of the whole class to read out an excerpt in English, and she showed off her cute pronunciation.

Starts around 4:14 and 4:45.

The 8-episode drama follows a story about a group of six girls trying to investigate the perpetrator and cause of a mysterious death of a fellow female student.

T-ara to become parliamentary aides for next mission on “T-ara’s Dream Girls”

After experiencing the life of a stewardess, T-ara’s next challenge on Mnet ‘T-ara’s Dream Girls” is to become parliamentary aides for Senator Na Kyung Won.

“The members will be able to experience life as female political advisors, who are considered to be in the top 1% of Korea’s ‘Power Women’, and will get to know more about business affairs. T-ara will enter the national assembly as the representatives of those in their 20s, and will address their visions and views on politics,” revealed the producer.

A representative of Na Kyung Won also added, “We thought of this as a positive opportunity to communicate with the younger generation and break down the opinion of 20-year-old women finding politics difficult.”

The first episode of their new challenge will begin this coming December 22nd.

B2ST and 4minute put on a “Soom” + “Huh” performance on Music Bank

It’s coming up to the end of the year, and what better way to close out KBS2TV’s Music Bank than with Cube Entertainment’s top idol groups, B2ST and 4minute.

B2ST has had an eventful year, with several charting hit songs culminating in a solo concert just last week, while 4minute has been busy with making inroads in Japan.

The two of them reunited on the December 16th episode of Music Bank, as they put on a performance of their respective hits, “Soom” and “Huh“, together with a short dance collaboration.

T-ara and SECRET perform together on Music Bank

It’s coming up to the end of the year, and what better way to close out KBS2TV’s Music Bank than with two of the top girl groups of 2010, T-ara and SECRET.

The two have certainly made giant strides in the year 2010, and now we get to see them perform their hit songs , “I Go Crazy Because Of You” and “Magic” together before they break up to perform “Madonna” and “Yayaya respectively.

The Center of Hallyu! - KARA


KARA is another of the most popular girlgroups of today. This 5-member group has recently returned from Japan, where they promoted the Japanese version of 'Jumping', their latest release along with the Korean version.

Earlier this year, KARA released 'Lupin', which has the concept of 'stealer'. This track earned them 2 awards on M!Countdown, 1 on Music Bank and even the Inkigayo Mutizen, making it the first award on Music Bank for KARA. The dance for this song also gained much interest, especially the emergency exit dance.

Following 'Lupin', KARA released Jumping, which has both a Japnese and Korean version. They have begun to promote this song on Music Broadcast shows only a few weeks ago, and have already been receiving great response.

When it comes to girlgroups, you definitely cannot miss KARA, one of the rising Hallyu stars of today. On today's year-end special, KARA brings to you a performance of 'Lupin' and 'Jumping':

Comedian Lee Gook Ju creates a funny parody of KARA’s Jumping

The pretty ladies of KARA are currently enjoying much success in the Japanese market. With their success in Japan, the girls are receiving a little more attention at home and recently comedian Lee Gook Ju created a hilarious parody video of KARA’s hit song, ‘Jumping.’

Even though it’s a parody it seems she worked hard on mastering the moves for the parody. My favorite part is when the random old man shows up at around 1:25, check out the video below!

Goo Hara’s doppleganger is at Hanyang University

Where could you find Goo Hara’s body double in Korea?

Cable channel Trendy’s program, “Lee Soo Guen’s Guerrilla Kitchen“, recently visited the campus of Hanyang University to film an episode at the school’s cafeteria. While there, they spotted a dead-on body double for Goo Hara – Park Ji Hyun, a student working towards an industrial design degree.

MC Sung Dae Hyun was the first to discover Park, as she had the eyes, height, and body similar to theKARA star. Apparently, her dancing skills also stunned the MCs and staff of the show. Could Park Ji Hyun be an upcoming star?

Groove Nation pays tribute to K-Pop at an American High School

Groove Nation Academy is a dance training ground located in Vancouver, Washington. Recently, they gathered some of their dancers to perform famous K-Pop dances at Heritage High School.

Why did Victoria attend Nichkhun’s press conference as a reporter?

Over the past couple of weeks, Nichkhun and Victoria’s segment on MBC’s “We Got Married” focused on the couple’s visit to Thailand. Recently, Nichkhun received the opportunity to visit his hometown as an honorary ambassador for Thailand, and it was revealed that he asked Victoria to be there at the press conference with him.

Victoria agreed to attend, but as a reporter. She stood amongst dozens of other reporters, and even posed questions towards her virtual husband, cheekily having fun during this serious event.

Producers of the show revealed, “As expected, Thai reporters immediately recognized Victoria the minute she entered the press conference. Nichkhun also made sure to take care of his wife at every chance, despite being busy with the event.”

It’s cute how Nichkhun is so concerned for his wife!

T-ara’s Jiyeon helps Co-Ed’s Hyo Young with her injury

Core Contents Media revealed a few pictures showcasing the warm friendship between labelmates T-ara’s Jiyeon and Co-Ed’s One Light Hyo Young.

Due to her injury, Hyo Young required the help of Jiyeon to move around the filming set for KBS 2TV’s “Jungle Fish 2.” The two reportedly got closer after Hyo Young’s twin sister, Hwa Young, joined T-ara earlier this year; they’re often seen chatting and sharing acting tips together on-set.

KARA’s “KARA Jumping” app ranks first on Japan’s iTunes App store chart

KARA’s ventures in Japan have been nothing short of a complete success this year. They’ve grabbed various top spots on the Japanese ranking chart, Recochoku, for their singles and music videos – even securing #1 for the “New Artist” category.

The girls have done it again with their free music app, “KARA Jumping“, as it pulled them in the #1 spot for the ‘free music category’ on Japan’s iTunes App store chart.

The application was first revealed on December 4th without any official promotions, and earned 50,000 downloads within 10 days of its release through ‘word-of-mouth’ by iPhone users.

Many positive reviews have been made for the app, with Japanese downloaders commenting, “It’s a high quality application that makes it hard to believe that it’s free. I am truly enjoying this,” and “It’s great to be able to see high quality videos of KARA through apps.”

Despite there being a Korean version of the application, 90% of the app’s worldwide downloads come from Japan. A representative of production company Danal commented, “KARA’s popularity in Japan exceeds anything imaginable.

4Minute's HyunAh reveals "SoHyun was robbed and forced to dance by a delinquent student"


4Minute's HyunAh revealed fellow member SoHyun's humiliation.

During MBC's variety show 'Bouquet' in which she takes part in, HyunAh revealed in the 'Christmas Special' that SoHyun had her money taken in the past.

HyunAh said "When SoHyun was in elementary school, she had her money taken away by a delinquent student. The delinquent even forced her to sing and dance in the public subways." Also adding "SoHyun then sang and danced to a song by the group she was a part of back then 'Orange'" evoking an explosion of laughter.

HyunAh's shocking confession will be revealed on the coming 19th at 9:25 am on 'Bouquet'.
