KARA turns down FNS Music Festival due to scheduling conflicts


With news surfacing a few days ago that SNSD would be performing in Japan’s FNS Music Festivalon December 4th, netizens wondered whether KARA would be doing the same.

Well it was recently revealed by DSP Media that KARA would be unable to attend Fuji Television’s end of the year festival because of scheduling reasons.

DSP revealed, “We were invited to the FNS Music Festival, but due to conflicting schedules in Korea, we had to turn it down.

KARA will begin promotions in Korea this week, and are expected to stay in the country through December. They will begin their comeback performances on November 20th through Music Core.

Hyomin the undisputed fashion leader


T-ara Hyomin's personally uploaded photos always become a hot topic among netizens. She's thus called the 'undisputed leader in fashion clothes' because of her outstanding fashion sense.

4minute meets SDN48 in Korea!


On the 17th SDN48 visited Korea for the first time for their album promotions. When they arrived in Korea they seeked 4minute's entertainment company. They performed 4minute's dance moves and 4minute performed SDN48's dance of 'GAGAGA' and supported each other.

4minute also practised speaking Japanese to them to help them with promotion.
Currently 4minute is active in Japan with promoting their 3rd single "First"

Photos of the f(x) members (excluding Amber) in Paris, France were recently revealed on Facebook, generating interest from fans who were surprised to see them there.

The photos were uploaded by Facebook user Al Zutto, who was with his friends on November 16th, when they caught a glimpse of the f(x) members, Victoria, Luna, Sulli, and Krystal.

The f(x) girls, according to Al Zutto, were in Paris to film for their reality tv show, f(x) Koala, and they kindly posed for pictures with him and his friends, plus signing autographs for them.

Hyomin teases T-ara’s comeback concept?


Is T-ara’s Hyomin teasing her group’s comeback concept through some selca pictures?

Hyomin uploaded two pictures of herself on her minihompy and wrote, “Guess what this shoot is for.”In the photos, she is seen wearing a metallic dress and a bright blonde wig.

Netizens guessed, “Is this the new concept for their new song?” and “Hyomin’s face reminds me of SNSD Jessica’s.”

Meanwhile, a short clip of Hwayoung and Boram dancing to what could be T-ara’s new song was revealed on “Hello Baby Season 3” recently.

T-ara endorses Morning Glory


Girl group T-ara has endorsed supply store Morning Glory Premium’s new line that is centered around the group.

The premium line will be designed by T-ara members, and include their writing and pictures.

Morning Glory’s rep said, “Morning Glory Premium and T-ara’s collaboration will make T-ara appeal more to female consumers and attract male consumers.”

KARA to reveal their daily lives through “D-day KARA”


With KARA currently preparing for their comeback, cable channel Y-STAR will be airing KARA’s day-to-day activities through their special “D-day KARA” episodes.

Through the show, fans will be able to see detailed footage of the members’ personal lives along with behind-the-scenes cuts from their “Jumping” music video. Naturally, the show will also air personal interviews with each of the members.

Their music video (released on November 10th) has already been attracting high levels of attention amongst fans, but the interest will skyrocket once the behind-the-scenes cuts are aired. Fans will be able to see how furiously the members are trying to memorize both Korean and Japanese lyrics, and their cute reactions whenever they make a mistake.

Nicole will also be briefly talking about her popular nickname, ‘bare forehead Nicole.’ Regarding the hairstyle change, she commented, “I worried a lot about exposing my forehead. Now that I have, it’s really refreshing.” Fellow member Seungyeon added, “Nicole has a bit of a forehead complex since her debut and worried a lot about exposing her forehead. Now that she has, she’s able to try the beautiful hairstyles she’s always wanted to.”

Regarding the group’s first attempt at ‘emotional acting’ for their music video, Seungyeon stated, “Maybe it’s because I’m older now, but I cry more often. I cry while watching documentaries, I cry while watching the 9 o’clock news. I must be getting old… It’s not hard to conjure sad emotions if I focus enough. I’m 24 next year and still get treated like the youngest in our group!

The show will broadcast on November 20th.

SDN48 visits 4minute in Korea


A special meeting occurred between girl groups 4minute and SDN48 on November 17th.

The two teams first met after SDN48 visited Korea for the first time in order to promote their new album track, “GAGAGA.” The 12 member Japanese girl group went to 4minute’s agency, Cube Entertainment, immediately after arriving in Korea. Over eight media representatives were present, showing much interest in the meeting between the two girl groups.

4minute personally followed the choreography for SDN48’s “GAGAGA”, and showed off their friendship by encouraging and supporting one another. Since the 4minute members are currently undergoing intense Japanese studies, they were able to freely converse with the SDN48 members, maintaining a lively and fun environment.

SDN48 will be releasing their official debut album in both Korea and Japan on the 24th, while 4minute will continue their third single promotions for “First” in Japan.

“Playful Kiss” reveals making-of video


The making-of video for the drama “Playful Kiss” was revealed on Novemer 17th, featuring never-before-seen scenes and various NG cuts.

Since November 2nd, the Youtube channel for “Playful Kiss” has been uploading three special episodes every week, achieving impressive records in views and replies.

The special episodes for the drama will come to an end on the afternoon of the 18th with the final reveal of its second making video.

Kara "JUMPING" bounces to No. 5 on weekly Oricon chart


Kara’s new album “JUMPING” has reached fifth place on Japan’s weekly Oricon chart.

“JUMPING,” Kara’s second single album in Japan, took the No. 5 spot on the prestigious chart following popular bands in Japan including Arashi, Perfume, Soul Brothers and Yusuke, while also scoring higher than AKB48, one of the most popular girl groups in the country.

The tracks in the album “JUMPING” and its music video has also been one of the top downloads on various online music sites.

"JUMPING" was released in Japan on November 10 and also in Korea five days later as Kara's fourth mini-album.

T-ara teams up with 'Morning Glory' to release T-ara products


Morning Glory has shaken hands with female idol grop T-ara to introduce 5 new products on the 18th. This is the first time Morning Glory has collaborated with an artist and launched a project.

The new products include, T-ara Diary, T-ara memo-book, T-ara deco sticker, T-ara special note and a T-ara photobook. T-ara members pictures, handwriting and comments were used and they were directly involved in the production process the company explained. The prices range from 5,000 to 15,000 won ($5~$15 USD).

A company official said, "Being involved in the manufacturing process and collaborating is a new celebrity trend which is gradually spread. There will be 10 products for men and about 20 for women, and are expected to get a good response," he said.

Meanwhile, T-ara debuted in 2009 and is now a 7-member girl group.
