KBS’ ‘Nice Guy’ still at #1

Even with a small set back, ‘Nice Guy' had the highest viewer ratings for the Wednesday/Thursday dramas.

According to AGB Nielson Media, the KBS drama recorded 15.1% on the 5th. This was 2.2% lower 보다 the day before.

The small decrease was due to Psy's 무료 Seoul Plaza concert, which overlapped with the drama.

T-ara releases "Free Time in Europe" teaser for 'Best of Best 2009-2012'

It is 첫 greatest hits album and will contain all of T-ara's singles from 'Absolute 첫 앨범', 'Funky 타운' 뿐만 아니라 their 2010 FIFA 월드컵 digital 단일 'We Are the One'. 

A limited ultra-deluxe edition of the album, which includes a 72-page photobook and 120-minute documentary of T-ara's 'Free Time in Europe' trip, will be 출시 on October 17, 2012.

Nichkhun to return through 'KOICA's Dream'

2PM's Nichkhun, who 했습니다 a hiatus after he was charged with a DUI, will be 을 his comeback by appearing in MBC's volunteer program 'KOICA의 꿈'. 

On October 5, MBC announced Nichkhun will be joining the 'KOICA의 꿈' project alongside fellow 2PM member Taecyeon and actors Kim Hyuk, Lee Tae 달려, and Park 일 Woong. They will 남겨 for Tanzania on October 5 to을 volunteer work for fifteen days. 

The staff of KOICA의 꿈 persuaded Nichkhun to participate 듣고 about his 과거 volunteer work. Nickhun decided to join the project to extend his 현재 volunteering.

Idols successfully venture into the acting market in 2012

 

More and more idols are stepping away from their usual singing and performing activities by branching into the acting field.

 

Because so many idols have debuted into an over-saturated market, existing idols had to find different leeways to keep promote themselves. The public has also become more accepting of idol turned actors as more of them make appearances on the small screen through various shows.

 

In the previous years, many idols were criticized for their lackluster acting. However, this year the idols managed to avoid the criticism with improved acting skills as now agencies are implementing acting studies into the training regimen of idols. Two idols that saw the largest jump in popularity for them so far this year were miss A‘s Suzy and ZE:A‘s Siwan. Suzy gained popularity through ‘Introduction to Architecture‘, and Siwan gained much love and attention through ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun‘, and then through ‘Equator Man‘ as well as ‘Standby‘. Also, ‘Reply 1997‘ stars Seo In Guk, Eunji, and INFINITE‘s Hoya gained the love of the nation through satoori and also received positive response to their acting. Also, the usual trend of having one actor per group has changed. Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri, YoonA, Jessica, and Sooyoung all acted in different dramas this year, and T-ara‘s Eunjung, Jiyeon, Hyomin and Soyeon, CNBLUE‘s Jungshin, Minhyuk, and Jonghyun, INFINITE’s Woohyun and L, also participated in their own individual sitcoms and dramas.

 

Dramas such as ‘Dream High 2‘ and ‘To the Beautiful You‘ also drew interest with their idol-studded casting. Upcoming large-scale dramas such as ’Iris 2‘ have also incorporated idols into its cast like KARA‘s Jiyoung and MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon. Kim Hyun Joong, JYJ‘s Yoochun, Jaejoong, Super Junior‘s Donghae, and ZE:A’s Dongjun already have or will be starring in dramas or movies.

Sulli says goodbye to Goo Jae Hee

SBS drama "To The Beautiful You" aired its final episode on 4th October.

Sulli shared a new message through her official Me2day,"To all the viewers who have watched 'To the Beautiful You' for all this time, I sincerely thank you all ^^ I was able to spend the last moments of my teenage life happily thanks to you, Jaehee. Bye bye~♥".

T-ara donated textbooks to Korean Malaysian School while in Malaysia

During their visit to Malaysia, girl group T-ara made a donation to a Korean school.

T-ara was in Malaysia on the 3rd for a showcase, and while staying there, they supported Korean school that was not being supported by donating Korean textbooks.

The T-ara members said to the Korean-Malaysian students, "We hope that Koreans can stand proudly and grown. We will work hard to promote K-POP everywhere we go to."

They continued, "I hope you will be able to benefit from our contribution. We hope to take the opportunity to come back and donate to the Malaysian Korean School every year."

T-ara traveled to Thailand today to film "M!Countdown" for on the 5th.

Was there a Happy or Sad Ending for ‘To The Beautiful You’?

Sulli and Minho met again on ‘To the Beautiful You‘.
