2PM renews their contract with ‘Look Optical’

Idol group 2PM renewed their contract with Look Optical.

2PM became the first idols to sign with an eyeglasses brand when Look Optical selected 2PM as models in 2011. With their Star Marketing, Look Optical went to dominate the eyeglasses market and earned an explosive response from the consumers.

A representative from Look Optical remarked, “After 2PM’s CF was released in February of 2011, 80-plus franchise stores increased their sales numbers, and the fashion glasses worn by the 2PM members have completely sold out. In order to broaden our ‘Glasses make the face’ concept and our ‘Fashion Glasses Shop’ image, we have decided to renew our contract with 2PM.”

In related news, 2PM will continue their eyewear promotions for the next year as exclusive models for ‘Look Optical’.

Jiyeon cries upon a surprise visit from her father

T-ara‘s Jiyeon shed tears when her father made a surprise visit during a fan signing event for outdoor clothing brand Wild Roses.

One online community posted a screen capture of the May 29th broadcast of OBS‘s ‘Unique Entertainment News‘ with the title, “Jiyeon’s father makes a surprise appearance at fan signing.”

Although the T-ara members were surprised at the appearance of a middle-aged man, he was revealed to be Jiyeon’s father. As Jiyeon began crying, her father warmly hugged her and said, “I came here deliberately to see you. I’ll go now,” immediately leaving afterwards.

Netizens replied to the clip, “Jiyeon’s father left so quickly,” and “Because of their schedule, they must not be able to visit home.”

SoyCarat lottery for KARA showcase!

After successfully ending their first Japan tour, KARA will be holding an event (showcase?) on August 3 and 4 in Tokyo and Osaka. SoyCarat is holding a lottery for their buyers to get a chance to attend for free.

The Secret Event inviting the 400 (200 pairs) winners will be selected by lottery. (Tokyo & Osaka 100 each groups) 

The applications will be accepted from Jun,1 to Jun, 30. 

Dates: August 3 at 18:00 in Tokyo. August 4 at 16:00 in Osaka

Jiyeon pokes IU's nose

T-ara’s Jiyeon recently showed her close friendship with singer IU.

On June 5th, IU posted the adorable photo above on her Twitter with the funny message, “Jiyeon, picking IU's nose in Japan.”

In the photo, Jiyeon can be seen playing a joke on IU’s huge Japanese debut poster. Jiyeon was spotted picking IU’s nose on the poster, bringing some laughter to the fans.

Netizens commented, “Cute couple, So funny!”, “I guess Jiyeon was glad to see IU in Japan”, “I like how IU tweeted” and more.
