Cube releases ‘United Cube Concert Episode 2′, starring Nam Ji Hyun

Cube Entertainment is back with the second episode of their ‘Fantasy Land‘ teasers for their upcoming family concert!

This time, the segment starts off with 4minute’s Ji Hyun mass-texting everyone after she gets inspired by an idea on set. After drinking from a water bottle, she cheerfully chirps, “Do you know, do you know?“, and informs everyone of a special water event at the concert. She adds that it’ll be refreshing, and that everyone should prepare to get wet.

The “United Cube Concert” will take place on August 14th. Fans can grab tickets through the Interpark website starting from June 14th at 8:00PM KST!

Legendary ballad group 015B release comeback teaser with 4minute

After withdrawing from the music scene for four years, veteran ballad group ‘015B‘ has announced their return with a new mini-abum, “Twentieth Century Boy“.

The legends have teamed up with the ladies of 4minute and B2ST’s Junhyung for their title track, “Silly Boy“.

For those of you who may not be familiar with the group, 015B debuted in 1990 and is known for a string of hits and collaborations between other well-known artists. By working with these top idols, the group seeks deliver a trendy twist to their classical style.

“Silly Boy” is a response song to their 1993 hit, “The Love of Neoanthropinae“, from their fourth album, “The Fourth Movement“.

On June 13th, the f(x) member wrote on her me2day, “A summer night to get rid of the heat! Please find Sulli in this picture,” and uploaded a picture of herself.

In the photo, Sulli poses in the middle of a painting. Mirroring the girl from the horror film, “Ring”, Sulli poses as if she’s trying to crawl out of the picture.

Netizens were thoroughly amused by the pictures, writing comments like, “The cute person in the middle is Sulli unnie!” and “The second picture really looks like it was photoshopped!”

Hyomin appointed as T-ara’s new leader

T-ara will be switching leaders from Boram to Hyomin for their “Roly-Poly” comeback next month.

Core Contents Media explained, “In order to instill a sense of responsibility in each of the members, we have decided to change the leader for each new album release. We will be passing the leader role onto members who have not been leader yet. The reason Eunjung was leader during their debut was because she and Hyomin had trained the longest with T-ara, and we felt that she would be the best fit.”

They continued, “Likewise, Hyomin has been chosen for T-ara’s Japanese and ‘Roly-Poly’ promotions for the same reasons as Eunjung. We have made this decision after much discussions with both the members and our agency.”

T-ara will be making their comeback on July 1st with “Roly-Poly”, a track composed by Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyu Sung.

Cube Entertainment reveals official poster for “United Cube Concert”

Cube Entertainment’s first ever family concert, “United Cube“, has finally unveiled their official poster image!

As reported earlier, the concert will be done under the theme, “Fantasy Land“, and so the poster is meant to be an expression of the infinite possibilities of the unknown.

Cube artists B2ST, 4minute, and G.NA act as puzzle pieces in the poster, whose individual charisma comes together to create a picture of wonder and mystique.

To suit the theme, the stars were dressed in a modern, magician-like style.

KARA’s Seungyeon recently showed off her pink nails to her fans.

On June 13th, the idol tweeted, “I got my nails done. It’s a sunny day“, and she also uploaded an adorable picture of herself (seen above).

In the picture, Seungyeon is making a cute expression while posing with her new pink nails. Her soft fair skin is especially noticeable, which the idol attempts to cover up with her glasses.

IU and Jokwon got picked as the number one idol that netizens would want to introduce to their parents.

Twenty-nine groups were involved in this voting. (Beast, After School, f(x), Jay Park, Baek Ji Young, Jewelry, Lim Jung Hee, Heo Young Saeng, Brian, Rainbow, 5dolls and B1A4)

Many male idols picked SBS' MC IU. Right after IU, it was Girls' Generation's Taeyeon with 2NE1's Sandara Park as 2nd. After School's Uee as 3rd. Rainbow's Go Woori and f(x)'s Victoria as 4th and 5th.

Out of the girl idols, 2AM's Jokwon got picked as 1st. Second, Jay Park. 3rd, Beast's Yoon DooJoon and Big Bang's TOP. Fourth, CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa and 5th, Infinite's Kim Sung Gyu.

KARA is returning back to Japan

On June 29th KARA announced their fourth single “Go Go Summer,” and they are going to get on a plane for Japan on the 16th. For about 15 days they are planning to appear on television shows and do other promotions.

A person that works for KARA stated on the 14th, “KARA will focus on Japanese activities with their new single,” “KARA will appear on popular Japanese music shows such as Asahi’s TV ‘Music Station’ and perform their new songs and also meet fans at Japan.”

KARA’s Japanese activities are green lighted. Simultaneously with the pre-sales of their new single, “Go Go Summer” was number one on Tower Records Pre-Sales.

There are several interesting points, KARA was successful in Japan in the past, “Jet Coaster Love” was number one on the Oricon weekly charts for the first time. Also, this will be their first music activities after taking care of their dispute with their agency.

On June 11th for the Korean fans, KARA held a fan meeting titled, “What we want to tell you…”

015B's "Silly Boy feat. 4Minute" teaser revealed

Legendary, veteran group 015B will be coming back to the Korean music scene soon! After debuting successfully in 1990, the group released hit after hit steadily until 2006. But now with 2011 upon us, they've decided to feature future legends, 4minute, on their comeback song! The song will be released on the 22nd.

Hyomin is T-ara's new leader "an opportunity for all members"

T-ara's Hyomin will replace Boram as the group's leader for T-ara's upcoming 'RolyPoly' activities and when T-ara begins their Japanese activities.

T-ara's company, Core Contents Media said, "We plan to replace and change the leader for each album that T-ara will release. It gives them a new responsibility to consult with the other members and as a leader, help plan T-ara's next choices. Eunjung was originally leader because of her training period, and her and Hyomin have had the longest preparation period. Because of this, it was determined Hyomin would be a good choice," they said on the 14th.

Following, "While in Korea, the oldest members were originally the leaders. Because T-ara will enter the Japanese market soon, it'll be critical to have a strong leader. The members and staff determined it would be Hyomin who would be the best to have the leadership, which she'll begin during 'RolyPoly' activities," they explained.

Meanwhile, T-ara will comeback on July 1st with 'RolyPoly' which was composed by Choi Kyusung. Their album 'John Travolta Wannabe' has a meaning of missing John Travolta and is inspired by 'Saturday Night Fever'.

f(x)’s Victoria and Sulli show off their fashion in Paris

While attending the SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in PARIS concert, f(x)’s Victoria and Sulli gained much attention with their chic and casual fashion sense.

Victoria, also known as f(x)’s ‘big mama,’ shows off her comfortable yet fashionable style even in Paris. She matched a checkered shirt with black skinny jeans, adding a hint of sophistication to her chic outfit. In addition, she carried a medium-sized, grey-colored, over-the-shoulder bag; the perfect, modernized cherry-on-top finish to a casual outing in Paris.

But lets not forget about Sulli; she wooed the boys from all over with her bubbly and quite citric outfit. Sulli wore a polka-dotted dress, a cross-bag, and a fitted-cap, all matching in orange. The beach-waves was the finishing touch to her look; she sure doesn’t disappoint her title as a goddess.

f(x) releases “Hot Summer” audio!

f(x) has just released their new track, “Hot Summer!”

“Hot Summer” is a dance pop track with an intense synthesized sound and beat, telling the story of girls who find romance in the days of summer. Fans have meanwhile pointed out that the song is likely to be a Korean remake of the original song of the same name by German pop girl group, Monrose.

f(x) will drop their repackaged album through both online and offline stores on June 14th. It will include the original 10 tracks from their first album, as well as four new songs: “Hot Summer”, “Can I Like You” from the “Paradise Ranch” OST, “La Cha Ta”, and “Chu~♡”.

Check out f(x)’s Krystal’s “Romeo & Juliet” routine for SBS’s “Kiss & Cry”!

f(x)’s Krystal transformed into ‘Juliet‘ on the June 12th broadcast of “Kim Yuna’s Kiss & Cry“, where 10 contestants competed after preparing with their partners for three weeks.

Krystal was paired with figure skater Lee Dong Hoon, and they showed an mournful yet fantastic rendition of “Romeo & Juliet“.

From an almost kiss to ballerina lifts, spins, spirals, and koala lifts, Krystal and her partner completed a variety of stunts which received applause from the judges stand.

The judges expressed, “We are already anticipating your next performance“, giving Krystal a score which edged out TVXQ’s Yunho’s by 1.1 points.

On the other hand, Kim Jang Hoon asked Krystal’s partner with regards to their near kiss, “Do you have the confidence to take on the battering?”

Krystal’s partner, Lee Dong Hoon, is Korea’s only athlete who can complete a four spin jump, and has been taking a break after an injury, but he has made a fantastic return with this routine.

Meanwhile, Kim Yuna opened this day’s show with her own performance of Beyonce’s “Fever“.
