The release date for girl group T-ara’s new album has been changed again, pulled up to tomorrow instead of December 3, their agency Core Contents Media said through a press release on Tuesday.

Accordingly, all the songs from T-ara’s second mini-album including another title track “YAYAYA” will be unveiled both off and online at 10 a.m. on December 1.

"YAYAYA" is a dance piece composed by local producer duo E-TRIBE whose previous works include Girls' Generation's “Gee” and Lee Hyo-ri's “U-Go-Girl."

The first title track to the album, titled “Why Are You Like This,” was released in advance on November 23.

The new album, of the same name as the aforementioned song, is made up of a total six songs. The upcoming release has received 70,000 orders in advance, according to Core Contents.

T-ara, returning to the local music scene with new member Hyo-young to make it a seven-member girl group, will give a comeback performance on KBS' televised music program Music Bank on December 3.

The group debuted with singles “Lie” and “Wanna Play” in December 2009 with the members Eunjung, Hyomin, Jiyeon, Boram, Soyeon and Qri.

T-ara dance tune claims No.1 on Mnet singles chart

A new dance number by a girl group T-ara has come out the winner on last week's Mnet singles chart.

The seven-member girl band's song "Why Are You Like That" featuring electrical guitar and bass sounds, was ranked on top of music cable channel Mnet's weekly singles chart from November 22 to 28.

The song is a title track to the group's second mini-album set to hit stores on December 3.

"If It Were Same," a ballad by the four-member male group Brown Eyed Soul which in particular highlights Jeong Yeop and Na-Ul's vocals, came in at No.2.

Its music video has also garnered attention as well for featuring actress Han Hye-jin, Na-Ul's actual girlfriend.

The third artist in the run was another ballad, "I Love You," by MC the Max which was released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the group's debut.

Members from famous Korean rock band Boohwal took part in composing and featuring in the songs for the album which completed recording in 2007, just before all members of MC the Max left for the military to fulfill their mandatory draft duties.

On Mnet's weekly album chart, Brown Eyed Soul's third full-length album "BROWNEYED SOUL" debuted in first place.

The 15-track album has already placed several of its songs in the top 20 slots of this week's Mnet singles chart including "If It Were Same": "Gone" at No.6, "With Chocolate" at No. 11 and "Rainy" at No.19.

Coming in second and third place in terms of album ranking were the Part 1 and 2 soundtracks to ongoing SBS weekend series "Secret Garden" starring Hyun Bin and Ha Ji-won which has been scoring high ratings.

"Secret Garden Part. 1 "climbed up three slots from the previous week and" Secret Garden Part 2 "eight slots.

Does “Invincible Youth” have a Chinese copycat?

A certain Chinese variety show is being accused of plagiarism for copying KBS 2TV’s girl group variety show, “Invincible Youth“.

On November 30th, on an entertainment bulletin board, an episode capture of a show that allegedly copied “Invincible Youth” was posted. The show is called, “偶像誕生 (Birth of an Idol)”, and the opening, member configuration, music, effects, and more, are almost identical to those of “Invincible Youth”.

On the show, there is a member reminiscent of Kim Tae Woo, a female member dressed like Narsha, and anyone who has seen “Invincible Youth” would say that the format is very similar. The Chinese comments left on the video also criticize the show, saying, “This is exactly the same as ‘Invincible Youth’. I’m embarrassed other people might see” and “‘Birth of an Idol’? Is copying idolizing?

Kim Ho Sang, the producer of “Invincible Youth”, told Sports Chosun, “I found out today because fans of ‘Invincible Youth’ called me. The program did not officially purchase the rights of the show. I believe this happened because the program is popular, and the members are becoming popular in China. We’re looking for the exact reality. We will discuss our next actions afterwards.

The possibility of this issue developing into a lawsuit is keeping fans interested.

T-ara’s Eunjung, Jiyeon and Davichi’s Kang Minkyung as models for “Love Songs”

T-ara’s Eunjung and Jiyeon, and Davichi’s Kang Minkyung have been selected as models for compilation album, “Love Songs“.

The criteria for their selection was that they were “acting idols” who have acted before in movies and dramas. In the recently revealed album cover, Eunjung, Jiyeon, and Kang Minkyung are sadly gazing out with tear-filled eyes.

2011’s “Love Songs” soundtrack will include Lee Seung Chul’s “Destiny“, Jo Sumi’s “If I Leave“,SG Wannabe and MTOM’s “Tell Me You Love Me“, and other drama and movie songs that received much love for a total of 30 songs.

KARA’s new album “Girl’s Talk” breaks 6 year old record in Japan, sells over 100,000 copies

Korean five member girl group, KARA released their first Japanese original album “Girl’s Talk” on November 24th. It’s been reported that this album has sold 107,000 copies in the first week, which was good enough to place them second on the Oricon weekly chart for December 6th.

This is the first time in 6 years and 9 months for an Asian girl group (excluding Japanese ones) to sell 100,000 copies in their first week since Twelve Girls Band (Chinese instrumental band) did it back in March 2004 with the release of their album “Kikou ~Shining Energy~.

The sales of “Girl’s Talk” is almost double that of “KARA BEST 2007-2010” first week sales (51,000 copies) which was released back in September.

KARA makes an appearance on Tokyo Friend Park 2

Korean girl group KARA made an appearance on TBS’s popular game show, “Tokyo Friend Park 2“, which was aired on November 29th. ”Tokyo Friend Park 2″ is a show in which the guests compete different games, and for each game they beat, they will receive a gold coin that can be potentially exchanged for prizes later on.

Check out the videos below!

First Game: WALL CRUSH - “This is a game in which contestants will dress in a velcro suit and run towards a mini-trampoline, which will launch them towards a velcro wall. The objective of the contestant is to jump as high as they can to gain the highest position on the wall as possible. The higher the contestant can reach on the wall, the more points they will garner for their team. A coin is awarded to the team if and when they accumulate a preset number of points. The top corners of the wall have two large red rectangles marked ‘CLEAR!’; and if a player gets either hand to stick at least partly within the rectangle, they automatically win the coin.”

Question – “Are you girls athletic? What kind of sports have you played before?”
• Hara – “Broad Jump”
• Seungyeon – “Walking”
• Gyuri – “I’m not really athletic, better at talking.”
• Nicole – “I’m good at everything, but not jumping.”
• Jiyoung – “Boxing”

Second Game: NEVER WIPE OUT! - “In this game, one player will stand on a platform that sways from side to side like a teeter-totter. In front of them is an attached giant platformed board that moves with the teeter-totter. A ball is dropped from the top and the player must use the teeter-totter and gravity to navigate the ball all the way to a basket at the bottom of the maze. If the ball falls off the edges, the player loses. The team has 6 tries to get a ball into the basket at the bottom, and a single successful attempt will award the team a coin.”

Third Game: GO! UPHILL – They run up the hill and try to place the marker at the highest point. Each person gets 20 seconds, so they can keep trying until the time ends.

Fourth Game: FLASH SAURUS – “This is also a 2-player game. One player will pump air into a vertical tube using what resembles a bicycle tire pump, while another player stands on an approximately 1 meter ledge. When the object inside the tube reaches the top, a series of track lights will come towards the player standing on the ledge. It is then his job to jump off the ledge in such a way that he will land on the ground below precisely when the track lights reach his platform. The faster the first player can pump air to get the object to the top of the vertical tube the slower the lights will travel, allowing a better chance the second player will trap the track lights below. The team has 8 attempts, and 3 successful trials wins them a coin.”

The hosts discuss Hara’s “cheat”, but since she did a great job, KARA still got a point out of it.

Fifth Game: HYPER HOCKEY – “This is always the last competitive game in the show. A comedy duo known as Honjamaka competes against the team to win a coin. The comedy duo both play air hockey each week so they are given a handicap of a ridiculous costume that hinders their ability to play. The first team to 7 wins, and if the contestant team wins they gain an extra coin.”

Big Challenge (Darts) - “At the end of each show, participants can choose between taking the coins or trading their coins in for darts. The value of the coins is unknown, but most contestants trade their coins for darts. Participants will then throw their darts at a large spinning dart-board. The dart board is divided like a pie graph and certain prizes are listed in each piece of the ‘pie’. If the dart hits the board, the board will stop and the contestant will win the prize shown. If the participant misses the board or if the dart bounces off, the contestant will win nothing. Prizes range from guest’s request to a car (Passo). There are also several pie pieces that have ‘tawashi‘ (translated as ’sponge’) on them. This is meant to be the joke prize, as if the contestant hits this piece, he will simply win a cheap sponge as opposed to an expensive prize.”

KARA received three golden coins as a result of their accomplishments during the games, but since they have five members, they choose who gets to participate in the darts through rock-paper-scissors.

• Gyuri – Treadmill
• Seungyeon – Digital Camera
• Nicole – Accessories
• Hara – Laptop Computer
• Jiyoung – Japan Tour For Family
