SHINee releases new group teaser photo for “Dream Girl”!

SHINee has released a new teaser images for the entire group! This follows the news of their anticipated return with their 3rd full length album.

Key‘s teasers were released first, and hinted at the concept of this new album. SM Entertainmentrevealed the  concept of the photos were ‘dream’ when they released Taemin‘s, Jonghyun’s, Minho‘s, and finally Onew‘s photos. Yesterday, they released two group photos, and today, the ‘dreamy’ concept continues with another new photo featuring the entire group.

The album will be revealed through iTunes as well as domestic music sites on the 19th and the title track will be called, “Dream Girl“. SM Entertainment promises that this new release will be another comeback that showcases the unique charms of the group.

In addition, ahead of the reveal on the 19th, the boys have announced a premiere event for the album release by teaming up with MelOn, titled ‘SHINee Music Spoiler‘. The event will be held on the 14th in Seoul at the Olympus Hall and will show making-of clips and also preview the songs on the album.

The title song “Dream Girl” is an acid electro funk song, and is produced by Justin Bieber’s producerShin Hyuk and his team Joombas Music Factory.

How do Jonghyun and Onew differ in terms of checking in at the airport?

SHINee‘s Jonghyun became flustered checking in at the airport by himself.

The SHINee members were able to go on a vacation through the special documentary ‘SHINee’s Wonderful Day‘. All five members went on a trip by themselves without being accompanied by their manager. Because it was Jonghyun’s first time checking in at the airport all by himself, he fumbled through the process.

During his interview, he explained, “The manager hyung was always with us, so the only thing I had to worry about was packing. I had no experience like this before, so I was worried about the ticketing process.”

However, Onew was completely different. Even though Onew has an image of goofing off all the time, the leader of the group showed that he was actually a responsible person. When he was asked, “Have you bought tickets before?“, Onew answered confidently, “Yes and I have all the electronic tickets. I was a bit nervous coming here by myself, but checking in is no big deal“, and got through the process quite easily.

Producers of ‘Five Fingers’ issue an official apology to T-ara’s Eunjung

YEIN E&M issued an official apology to T-ara’s Eunjung for booting her off from the ‘Five Fingers‘ drama.

The apology was addressed on January 23rd to the Korean Actors Labor Union. The full apology reads,

1. We wish you tremendous success for your union.
2. YEIN E&M cast celebrity Eunjung from Core Contents Media for the role of Hong Da Miin the SBS special drama ‘Five Fingers’.
3. After we were done casting Eunjung, we decided for ourselves on withdrawing Eunjung from the drama ‘Five Fingers’ and told her so without holding adequate talks with the actress or the label and without fully understanding the T-ara situation.
4. Also, we hurt Eunjung’s confidence by letting her hear rumors of a possible change in actresses before telling her she was withdrawn. We apologize to Eunjung and the Korean Actors Labor Union for hurting her with articles that stated the loss of production fees even though she worked diligently and actively in acting, practicing the piano, shooting for the poster, and attending the press conference. We apologize also for stopping the filming because she dyed her hair. It is the staff’s fault for not trying to understand the actress’ stance.
5. These are things that happened because of our incorrect judgment as producers even though there was no problem with Eunjung appearing on ‘Five Fingers’ and because we did not organize the relationship between the SBS director and the writer properly.
6. Because Eunjung was very hurt and we tarnished her name, we will work our best to heal her pain and her name.
7. We also believe that there should never be a custom where an actor / actress is withdrawn without conferring them first. We realize that from the point of view of the label and the actress, it was a shocking situation. We apologize sincerely to the Korean Actors Labor Union for making them worry about all these issues, and we will help in changing the production environment so nothing like this happens again. It is not acceptable to allow this to happen ever again, but if it does, we will follow everything the Korean Actors Labor Union instructs, and we will work hard to find a cooperation point through talks.
8. We are now requesting that you lift the ban that the Korean Actors Labor Union laid on YEIN E&M, saying, “The Korean Actors Labor Union bans YEIN E&M from producing dramas for 2 years”.
9. We hope all these situations will be resolved easily, and we will work hard to create a healthy, diligent drama production environment with the Korean Actors Labor Union.

f(x) to perform at the ’2013 SXSW South By Southwest’ music festival in Texas

American fans have something to look forward to as f(x) will be performing in Austin, Texas for the upcoming ’2013 SXSW South By Southwest‘ music festival.

‘SXSW South By Southwest’ is one of the biggest annual music conference and festival events in the United States held during every Spring break and gathers music and film lovers from all across the country. This year, the festival series will be held from March 8th-17th. f(x) have also received the honor of being the representative K-pop artists to perform at the event, leaving fans excited for their international exposure.

SHINee’s passport photos revealed on ‘SHINee’s Wonderful Day’

SHINee‘s passport photos were revealed on the February 12th episode of MBC‘s ‘SHINee’s Wonderful Day“.

The crew followed the boys as they traveled overseas, and their passport photos were revealed.Jonghyun stated, “It’s when my hair was totally short.” Though Minho and Onew‘s were also revealed,Taemin and Key‘s were not.

Ailee comments on her goals for the new year

On the February 11th ‘Hello‘, Ailee, Tae Jin Ah, and Raina appeared as guests who were born in the year of the snake.

When Ailee was asked what her goal was for the new year, she responded, “I’m not the type to set a goal. If I do set one and I fail, I’m too disappointed in myself.”

MC Jung Chan Woo joked, “So you’re living without a goal,” to which Ailee replied, “I’m living without thought,” causing laughter.

In other news, Ailee recently attended the ‘55th Annual Grammy Awards‘ held in Staples Center, LA.

Davichi releases “Do You Not Know” for ‘IRIS 2’ OST

The duo of Davichi have lent their voices for the official soundtrack of KBS’s new Wednesday-Thursday series, ‘IRIS 2’.

On February 13th, Davichi released their latest OST single “Do You Not Know”. The song is a ballad number that includes magnificent 70-piece orchestra. It will be used as the main theme song of Jang Hyuk and Lee Da Hae, making their romance even more romantic.

Yesung sings Kangta-produced single for ‘Wind Blows in Winter’ OST

Singer Kangta has transformed into OST musical director for the SBS new drama series, ‘Wind Blows in Winter’.

On February 13th, Kangta released his first OST single, teaming up with labelmate and Super Junior member Yesung, who recorded a number of different OSTs in the past. The OSTs will include a number of great songs, including songs that Kangta wrote himself.

The song will be used as the main theme song of Oh Soo (Cho In Sung) and Oh Young (Song Hye Gyo), and it is a great pop ballad number that highlights Yesung’s soft vocals.

BoA releases short version MV for Japanese “Only One”

Singer BoA will be returning to Japan with a new Japanese single on February 27th. A short version music video for the title song “Only One” has been uploaded online, giving fans a taste of the Japanese version of her recent Korean single.

Also titled ‘Only One’, the upcoming Japanese single will include the Japanese versions of her songs “Only One” and also “The Shadow”, which were originally released in Korea this past July. Both songs were pieces written and composed by BoA.

SHINee in March issue of Nylon Magazine!

Idol group SHINee will be featured in March issue of Nylon Magazine.

On January 28th, SHINee had a photoshoot for Nylon magazine and the pictures are said to be featured in March issue of the magazine and will be sold in stores starting on February 18th.

The photo above of SHINee's Key was unleashed by Nylon and the other members' teasers will be released until the magazine hits the stores. A short video containing footage of SHINee will also be released on Nylon's Youtube Channel.

KARA humiliated for their archery skills!

Girl group KARA humiliated for getting 0 points in a row in archery.

On MBC New Year Special Variety Program "Idol Star Athletics Championship" had Miss A members in archery. Group KARA who wasn't able to practice a lot because of their activities in Japan was embarrassed during the event. 

Nicole first showed up to show her archery skills but failed and got 0 points followed by Hara and Jiyoung. The 3 members got humiliated for not getting any points which led the MCs to tease the other members by saying "The prize is MBC set" .

f(x)'s Krystal and 4MINUTE's Sohyun's thoughts on graduation!

f(x)'s Krystal and 4MINUTE's Sohyun's shared their thoughts on their graduation.

The maknaes of their respective groups were interviewed on the 7th. Krystal graduated from Hanlim Arts High School while Sohyun from Pungmun Girls High School. Both of them were happy receiving their high school diplomas.

During the interview, Krystal said "My sister (SNSD's Jessica) is not in Korea so she could not attend the ceremony but she congratulated me. I will receive a gift from her later". After talking about her sister, she then talked about what she wants to have as she is now a high school graduate. She said "I'd like to have a driver license". If Krystal wants a driver license, Sohyun wants to be able to drink and go to clubs.

Congratulation to these maknaes who did their best during their high school!
