Super Junior’s Siwon attends the opening of the ‘Twosome Coffee Choi Siwon Shop’ pop-up cafe charity event

 
Super Junior‘s Siwon made a transformation into a barista for the grand opening of the ‘Twosome Coffee Choi Siwon Shop‘ pop-up cafe in Myeongdong, Seoul on the 30th.
 
The event was held at the Myeondong store of the cafe chain to celebrate the grand opening of the charity event by Siwon.
 
A representative who was present at the event revealed, “For three months, various food items such as coffee, sandwich, and biscotti under the name of Choi Siwon will be sold here, and the profits will be donated to those in need… Selling 10,000 ‘Hope Biscotti’ will bring in 10 million KRW (~9,200 USD), and with the profits of the other items, we hope that we will be able to raise 50 million KRW (~46,000 USD) to donate to the charities of Siwon’s choice as well as other places.”
 
To show their support, his fans from all over the world flew in to attend the beginning of the event, and in return, Siwon served them snacks such as biscotti and coffee that he prepared himself.

f(x) has 2 songs nominated in the ‘best dance & electronic song’ category at the ’10th Annual Korean Music Awards’

 
f(x)‘s songs “Electric Shock” and “Jet” were both nominated in the same ‘best dance & electronic song’ category for the upcoming ‘10th Annual Korean Music Awards‘.
 
A press conference for the ’10th Annual Korean Music Awards’ was held on the 29th and a representative revealed, “There are cases where f(x), Busker Busker, and others have two of their songs nominated in the same category. This is due to the corresponding songs having excellent music reviews and rather than disregarding them because it is from the same artist, we chose to recognize their excellence. Especially f(x) who has two songs nominated for the best dance & electronic song category including ‘Electric Shock‘ and ‘Jet‘.”
 
The ‘Korean Music Awards’ will review 25 categories within four fields of entertainment.
 
The ’10th Annual Korean Music Awards’ will be held on February 28th at Seoul’s UNIQLO AX Hall.

Baek Ji Young used to dislike Seo In Young?


Baek Ji Young recently shared a surprising story of her relationship with fellow singer Seo In Young.

On January 29th, Baek Ji Young appeared on SBS ‘Strong Heart’ and explained the stories and rumors behind her relationship with Seo In Young. The singer confessed, “I did not like Seo In Young because she was so lively, and looked like a Barbie doll.”

Baek Ji Young continued, “However, later when I talked to her, I found out that she wasn’t hateful at all. But, I thought I was going to lose for some reason if I start liking her.”

She then proceeded to share about the incident when she made Seo In Young cry. She said, “I was in the same waiting room as Lyn when Seo In Young came in and they started to chat together. I lost my temper and said, ‘Hey, I don’t think you’re in the position to be coming in here and start chatting it up loudly.’”

“She went out after apologizing, and my manager told me that she cried right after she left. I was very stressed out because of my throat condition back then,” she continued. “Afterwards, we ran into each other at a party. She came up to me and apologized. She is such a nice person, and I promised that I would never talk like that to her.”

Super Junior M to release 'Break Down' in Korea

 

 Super Junior-M, a subgroup comprising core members of Super Junior, will be releasing its newest album in Korea.

On January 29 SM Entertainment announced the Super Junior-M will release a Korean version of their second album ‘Break Down’ on January 31. The original Chinese version of the album was released on January 7 through local music sites as well as iTunes in Korea, China and Taiwan.

The album features 10 tracks in total, including title track “Break Down”, “GO”, “Good Bye, My Love” and a few others that show Super Junior’s musical color most vividly.

Super Junior-M will be kicking off their Korean promotions starting on ‘M! Countdown’ on January 31.

Music video for Ailee's OST track "Ice Flower" revealed

 

 Talented singer Ailee recently participated in the soundtrack for the currently airing SBS drama ‘Queen of Ambition’. The music video for the track has now been unveiled, giving a look in the series.

Ailee released her latest single “Ice Flower” on January 28th. The song portrays the sad memories of the drama’s main couple, Kwon Sang Woo and Soo Ae, giving their love line even more dramatic and emotional.

T-ara’s Eunjung comments on becoming the MC for ‘Show! Champion’


T-ara‘s Eunjung expressed her excitement at becoming the MC for ‘Show! Champion‘.
Eunjung and f(x)‘s Amber have been chosen as the new MCs for the show after Shindong and Kim Shin Young. The show was originally pre-recorded and aired on Tuesday, but starting from the 30th, the show will be changing their format to air live every Wednesday.
Eunjung has long been close with MBC because she was on ‘We Got Married‘ and had previously MCed for ‘MBC Gayo Daejaejeon‘. Amber was chosen because she had shown off her characteristic brightness and wit through variety shows as well.
On her appointment as MC, Eunjung said, “This is my first time in a while since our music promotions that I’m going on the show, so I’m looking forward to it and I’m nervous. Since it’s a live program, it’s a little nerve-wrecking, but I’m going to work hard to excel after the first season MCs Shindong and Kim Shin Young.
Even though Eunjung will be going to Japan at the end of February to promote T-ara’s album in Japan, she will be going back and forth for her MCing duties.

2PM successfully hold a concert in Nagoya



Idol group 2PM heated up Nagoya, Japan with their successful sold-out ARENA TOUR “LEGEND OF 2PM” in Nagoya Gaishi Hall on January 24th and 25th.

During the concert, 2PM appeared on the stage with a more dignified charisma, evoked shouts from the audience with the complete, illustrious performance. In particular, the roomful of 10,000 fans in Nagoya Gaishi Hall sang along in harmony when the yet unreleased songs from the 2nd full-length album were performed on the stage, amazing the local related staff members.

Meanwhile, there also was the member Junho’s birthday party on the concert on the 25th.

Junho, who had a 24th birthday on the 25th, spent an impressive birthday with a surprise party prepared by 2PM members and a birthday song by the fans. Especially, on the 25th, the fans brought yellow fan lights that represent Junho, unfolding stunning scenery as the concert venue was embroidered with 10,000 beautiful yellow fan lights when the birthday song was played.

2PM has conveyed, “It was a royal time to experience many fans’ love. Us 2PM will always make a greater effort and do our best as much as the expectations of the fans who support 2PM. Thank you.” 
2PM continues the excitements of the ARENA TOUR in Osaka from the 28th to the 30th.

Meanwhile, 2PM has a Tokyo Dome concert that will bring 11,000 audiences ahead on the upcoming April 20th and 21st.
