KARA succesfuly concludes intimate fan event with 400 lucky Kamillas

Girl group KARA recently hosted a secret fan meeting, taking place at Seoul’s NH Art Hall on June 10th. Open only to members of KARA’s fan club “Kamilia,” this exclusive fan event seated 400 lucky fans to gather at the venue for an intimate fan event specially created for the fans.

The selection process for the 400 attendees was done through an online sign-up event. Much like last year’s fan event, the competition for a ticket was tough as over 2, 500 KARA fans signed up to grab a spot to see the girls.

The event lasted for one hour and was compromised of various events specially designed to give fans an opportunity to bond with the girls. Because the event seated only a limited amount of attendees, the atmosphere of the event was intimate as KARA laughed and chatted with the fans, sharing stories of their time at Japan, their recently concluded tour as well as hilarious stories about each other.

“We’re sorry for being away for so long,” said KARA towards the end of the event, “We will be back in Korea with a brand new album soon, so please keep on showing your support!”

Meanwhile, KARA successfully completed their first Japanese tour just last month, and will return to Korea to ready a new album.

KARA holds surprise fan meeting

Girl group KARA held a surprise fan meeting for about 400 Korean fans.

On June 11, DSP Media, KARA’s agency, reported that KARA held a closed fan meeting with their fan club Kamilia at NH Art Hall located in Choong-Gu, Seoul on June 10.

The event was held as a small-scale surprise fan meeting for about 400 Kamilia members. It has been a year since KARA has held an official fan meeting and nearly 2,500 fans signed up online to attend the event.

At the fan meeting, KARA stated, “Last year at the fan meeting, we set June 11 as Kamilia’s Day. We’re so happy to see you again this year.” While KARA was performing “With All Of My Heart”, the fans surprised the members as they held up placard that had a heart and KARA’s name on it.

Towards the end, the members expressed, “We’re very sorry that we haven’t really had many chances to see you because of our schedule in Japan. We’ll soon come back with our new album.”

KARA members keep promise to fans

The KARA members have come together to keep their promise they made with their fans. 

On June 10th, members Goo Hara, Jiyoung, Nicole and Seungyeon tweeted photos accompanied with similar captions saying, “I’ve kept my promise!”.

In the photos, KARA members can be seen with pouting expressions and pulling on their foreheads. They seemed to have made some kind of promise to their fans during their recent fan meeting and kept their word through the photos.

Despite the unflattering poses, KARA’s Goo Hara, Jiyoung, Nicole and Seungyeon still manage to look pretty and adorable.

2PM's "Beautiful" surpasses 100,000 sales

Idol group 2PM released their fourth Japanese single “Beautiful” on June 6th and it has officially surpassed 100,000 sales!

2PM’s “Beautiful” debuted at second on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart, selling approximately 73,529 copies on the first day. In the next three days, the single has sold additional 50,797 units, and currently totalling 124,326 sales. “Beautiful” should be certified “Gold” by the RIAJ next month.

“Beautiful” has already received love as the CM song for a popular Japanese brand, Sempio’s black vinegar drink, and previously topped the Recochoku chart, the biggest ringtone download website in Japan even before its release.

KARA members goof around on Kamilia Day

The girls of Kara are not only sexy and cute but they also share a sense of humor. On the 10th of June, they updated their twitter account and shared, "We kept our promise. Kamilia yeah! Love you!" and shared an individual selca showing an odd expression on their faces.

On their selca, you can see them giving a worried and sad expression with a finger on their forehead. Netizens commented, "What are they doing? They are so cute", "Are they pointing out to their wrinkles?", 'Thats so cute of them". Meanwhile, KARA held a Kamilia (Kara's fan club" fan meeting to commemorate it as a day for their fans.
