Winners at the ‘2010 Korea Lifestyle Awards’

The ‘2010 Korea Lifestyle Awards’ was recently held at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel Grand Ball Room in Kangnam-Gu, Seoul on November 13th.

Stars who attended include SG Wannabe, So Ji Sub, f(x), Lee Min Jung, and many more.

The purpose of the awards show was to recognize leaders who have made an influence on Korea’s lifestyle in a total of 20 categories, such as fashion, weddings, social philanthropy, online shopping malls, medical institutions, cosmetic brands, hair brands, and others.

The awards ceremony will be shown on December 15th through Donga TV.

Nichkhun mentions Victoria during ‘All My Love’ sitcom cameo

As reported earlier, 2PM’s Nichkhun recently made a short cameo appearance in MBC’s daily sitcom, “All My Love“, and his part was finally shown on the night of December 13th.

Nichkun had the role of a part-time worker in a business that specializes in supplying human substitutes.

‘Misun’, who is preparing for her wedding ceremony with Director Kim, hires Nichkhun to play the role of her son ‘Ok Yeob’ because her real life son and Director Kim previously met on bad terms.

Nichkhun thus acts as Misun’s son and Geum Ji’s (Ga-In) twin brother in front of Director Kim, who notes the vast difference in appearance between him and his twin.

Fans of the Khuntoria couple on “We Got Married” were especially delighted with what Nichkhun said at the end, “Victoria-ssi! I earned a lot of money today. I think we can marry really soon now.”

4Minute for KBS special event!

With the year soon coming to a close, KBS has announced a special episode of Music Bank to celebrate the closing of a relative good year for all K-Pop groups. This special event is set to feature this year's hotttest such as 2PM, 2AM, SNSD, KARA, Super Junior and CN BLUE among others. It will also feature Beast and 4Minute who have enjoyed much success and have matured much since their rookie days not so long ago.

For 4Minute, it will be more meaningful as this event will mark their 'comeback' to Korea since their Japanese promotions started a few months back. With their Korea comeback slated early next year, this special event will help to build up much-needed hype and also remind fans not to forget 4Minute. This special episode is to be broadcasted this Friday.

4minute preparing for agrresive promotions in Japan and Korea

Girl group 4minute will be preparing for full-scale promotions in Japan for their first real album.

4minute's first album, entitled "DIAMOND," will be released on the 15th as part of the Korean girl group wave currently sweeping Japan. After releasing 3 singles this year in Japan, the girls will start major promotions throughout the country for the monumental event of their first album release. This is the first album the girls have put out in any country.

Hit songs like "Hot Issue," "HuH," and "Muzik" will be included in the 13-track album. "Muzik" and "I My Me Mine" will be in Japanese, increasing the specialness of the album.

On the 10th, a representative from Cube entertainment said, "Starting with 4minute's first album release, we will begin aggressive promotional activities. We have plans for domestic activities for the first half of the year as well."

4minute's concerts in Osaka and Tokyo recently attracted 4,000 attendees, with tickets sold out in record time.

The girls are currently working with in-house producer Shinsadong Tiger as part of their Korean/overseas simultaneous promotions to begin next year.

Supernova’s Sung Je & KARA’s Jiyoung collaborate for Christmas carol duet

As reported yesterday, Supernova and KARA’s Jiyoung will be releasing a new single on December 16th, and additional details have been revealed today!

Supernova’s agency, Maru Entertainment, stated, “On the 16th, Sung Je and Kang Jiyoung will reveal their duet track, ‘Merry Love.” The track was reportedly produced by composer Park Geun Tae.

The two groups have been busy promoting in Japan, both ranking on Japan’s Oricon Singles chart and achieving a high level of success.

The two members added, “We wanted to prepare a special year-end present for our fans. Through this unique opportunity, we’d like to spread the potential of K-POP.”

There’s no official word yet regarding plans of promoting on Korean music shows, as Supernova will be heading back to Japan on the 21st for their individual concert.

Viewers touched by KARA’s Nicole hardworking side in SBS “Heroes”

As reported earlier, the ladies of SBS’s “Heroes” were to open a one-day restaurant in order to donate all of the profits made to an organization that helps starving children.

The episode broadcast on December 12th featured the opening of the restaurant, and members all participated in cooking the food by dividing into teams.

KARA’s Nicole, IU, Shin Bong Sun, No Sa Yeon, Yoo In Na, and Narsha were on the ‘tonkatsu’ team and showed much determination in getting the orders completed.

Nicole showed a hardworking image of herself, concentrating on frying meat for over two hours without rest. Whenever she made a minor mistake, she would immediately apologize and attempt to remedy the situation.

Viewers were especially impressed with how hard Nicole worked, not at all worrying about her idol image and wanting to look pretty like most idols. Nicole was often seen furrowing her brows or cringing as she concentrated on her station. Nicole even burnt her hand at one point after quickly picking up a piece of meat that had just been fried due to the delay in orders going out.

Although those around her were worried, by asking if she was okay and telling her to take a break by washing her hands, Nicole stated that she was okay and continued working at her station.

Viewers left comments stating, “Nicole really was working hard. She wasn’t like an idol at all,” “I saw how genuine Nicole was, I was almost upset for her,” and “It must’ve been hard staying in front of the hot oil like that all day, she’s amazing.”

Although Nicole had oil splattered all over face, her hair in a tangly mess, and her hand burnt, viewers were moved by how much more beautiful she was than on stage.

G.NA shares a picture of her with Nam Ji Hyun of 4Minute

Cube Entertainment's female soloist, G.NA, just recently tweeted a picture of her with close-friend, Nam Ji Hyun of 4Minute who is also from the same company as her.

While trying to sleep, G.NA tweeted "seriously . . im gonna try to sleep . . forreal ~^^ 남지지 n ginaaaaaa" along with the picture below. Don't you think they both look cute and adorable in this picture? G.NA is almost unrecognizable here.

Supernova Sungje and KARA Kang Jiyoung to release christmas single

Supernova Sungje and KARA Jiyoung will release their duet track "Merry Love" on December 16th. It's their christmas song duet.

With Supernova upcoming Japan concert, and Sungje's musical "Really Really Like You" is coming, and KARA busy promoting their latest song "Jumping" there's no plan to promote the song on music shows as for now.
