Hyomin teaches Soyeon her first task as T-ara’s new leader

T-ara‘s Hyomin recently trained member Soyeon to complete her first task as the new leader of the group.

Soyeon will be taking over the reigns as T-ara’s new leader as soon as they begin promotions for “Lovey-Dovey“, and with this she will have a lot of new responsibilities. She needs to learn how to mix music as well as participate in meetings to discuss concepts for stage ensembles, participate in meetings with song composers, organize the girl’s schedule, and more.

On December 8th at 11pm, Hyomin attended the MV editing session along with Soyeon. The girls worked with director Cha Eun Taek to actively participate in the editing session as figuring out the direction they should take.

Current leader Hyomin remarked, “It’s been difficult leading the group since our “Roly Poly” promotions as we were also constantly in Japan, but it was a good experience. Soyeon is older than I am and is really responsible and mature, so I know she will do a good job.”

Soyeon also shared her personal thoughts on becoming the new leader. “At first I was so envious of the leader position but now that I’ve attended the first concept meeting and participated in my first MV editing process, I’m a bit nervous. Since “Cry Cry” received lots of love, I will work harder to ensure that “Lovey Dovey” is met with a similar response.”

“The full length ‘Lovey Dovey’ MV is 21 minutes and 17 seconds long, but it will be one that does not feel long at all, and it will be one that people won’t be able to watch without shedding tears,” she continued.

T-ara is working to ensure that their fans can easily learn the words to the song as well as the moves to the dance. They are scheduled to begin promotions for “Lovey Dovey” on January 1st.

Meanwhile, the girls are currently traveling back and forth from Japan and Korea while promoting “Cry Cry”. Members Eunjung and Jiyeon have also taken up roles in dramas ‘Queen Insoo’ as well as ‘Dream High 2′.

Eunjung’s mother gives Lee Jang Woo some friendly advice

The mother of T-ara‘s Eunjung gave her ‘son-in-law’ Lee Jang Woo some firm advice.

On December 10th’s episode of MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘, Eunjung complained to her mother about her husband’s “unfaithful” behavior.

Lee Jang Woo took both his on-air wife and her mother on a small camping trip. He personally cooked them an elaborate dinner consisting of abalone, kimchi stew, beef, and more, earning the high praise of his mother-in-law.

But the peaceful family dinner didn’t last long. Eunjung began complaining about how Jangwoo displays intense skinship with his female co-star on ‘Man of Honor‘. ”He pushes them against the wall and dives in for deep kisses,” she sulked. ”He wraps his arms around their waists to dance with them and all kinds of stuff.”

After listening to her daughter, Jang Woo’s mother-in-law then fed him a piece of abalone. She then gave Lee Jang Woo the following warning in a light tone: “Don’t go wrapping your arms around any other waist after you eat this. Got it?”

她接着补充说道“但是也因为这样的事情在地铁哪里被大人抢钱包。”

Monkey3 releases song rankings for the year 2011

Year 2011 is almost at its end to give way to 2012. Music analyst site Monkey3 has compiled the most popular tracks over the past months and released the top 40 rankings for the year of 2011 based on a combination of Top 50 weekly charts, number of downloads and streams from January 1 to December 7, 2011.

These past months was undeniably been dominated by female artists as reflected on the top 10 rankings. T-arareceived the most love and reigned on top with "Roly Poly". The sexy ladies of miss A with "Goodbye Baby" andSISTAR with "So Cool" claimed the 2nd and 3rd spot respectively. The soloist sweetheart IU came on 4th with her hit track "Good Day".

Completing the top 10 list, SECRET's took the 5th spot with one of their most popular songs, "Starlight Moonlight". Followed by Davichi's "Don't Say Goodbye" on 6th, 2NE1's "I Am The Best" on 7th, f(x)'s "Danger" on 8th, SISTAR19's "Ma Boy" on 9th and lastly the only male artist on the top 10, Huh Gak with "Hello".

T-ara's "Lovey Dovey" music video will be 21 minutes 17 seconds long!

Soyeon revealed her edit of the "Lovey-Dovey" music video is 21 minutes and 16 seconds long. She also said she wants to make it long so that it can help make it a music video that you can't watch without crying.

T-ara will release five different productions of their "Lovey-Dovey" music video, which is a easy to dance along to and easy to sing along to song for the whole nation to enjoy.

Cube Entertainment's First Official Concert in London is Successful!

Cube Entertainment (BEAST, 4minute, G.NA) First Official Concert in London, Great Success

4minute, BEAST, and G.NA held a successful first official K-pop Concert in U.K called 'United Cube in London'.

'United Cube Concert' is a joint concert by Cube Entertainment. It was held on 5th December at O2 Brixton Academy. More than 4000 fans from countries in Europe came for the 2,5 hours concert, it gathered all their passion for K-pop.

The concert started with 4minute's 'Hot Issue'. 4minute showed a new try for their hit songs by combining it with Euro sounds and outfits with LED. They received a consistent cheers from the fans throughout their strong performance.

Before the concert, they arrived at Heathrow Airport on 4th December. More than 400 fans gathered at the airport and paralyzed the gate, surprising the other visitors.

Fans from around Europe started to stand on 4 lines since morning, before the concert started on 5th December. We can also see some parodies of Cube artists' dance, song, fashion, etc. We can see that they're enjoying the K-pop festival that was held for the first time.

A representative from Brixton Academy said, "O2 is a venue where we have many history of world-class band performances. We're glad that the first Asian singers' concert was successful. It's the first time to see all 4000 visitors who lined up since the morning. We received so many contacts from fans all over Europe before the concert and we were surprised."

CEO Hong Seungseong from Cube Entertainment revealed his thought, "K-pop movement has started in U.K, which is the birthplace of Pop. Cube starts from London and will continue on proving the content of global competitiveness. I feel like we upgraded the dimension of K-pop for another level.

Meanwhile, Cube Entertainment will held their 4th concert of 'United Cube' on 13th December in Sao Paulo, Brazil as the first K-pop concert in South America.

HyunA's "Bubble Pop" ranks 9th on SPIN magazine's "Best 20 Songs of 2011"

SPIN, the world famous magazine which noted for its broad music coverage, has recently released the list of their "Best 20 Songs of 2011".

Alongside the world-renowned artists such as Adele and Beyonce, HyunA surprisingly appeared on the list claiming the ninth spot with her solo single "Bubble Pop!". HyunA once again proved her incredible popularity as "Bubble Pop!" was the only Korean song to make in the chart.

HyunA released her solo single, "Bubble Pop!" on July 2011 and is currently promoting as Trouble Maker, a project unit along with labelmate B2ST's Hyunseung.

T-ara's shooting for Roly Poly Japanese MV!

The girls of T-ara have been filming the Music Video for the Japanese version of their Korean hit retro song Roly Poly.

These girls are really busy these days. They are promoting Cry Cry in Korea, YaYaYa in Japan, filming the music video for the Japanese version of Roly Poly, they are also working for Lovey Dovey and Eunjung is cast on a Drama entitled Queen Insoo.

Meanwhile, Hyomin will be replaced by Soyeon as the new leader of this girl group. Soyeon will be the 4th leader of T-ara. Their company said that every album they will release, there will be a new leader so that everyone will have a responsibility.

Their Lovey Dovey activities will start on the 1st of January.

HyunA's vocal trainer reveals she was sexy since 5th grade

On a recent episode of Y-Star's "Curious Things", the vocal trainer of former and current JYP Entertainmentappeared on the show and revealed some interesting stories about the celebrities.

Vocal trainers and other experts inlcuding hair designers, personal trainers, and others have an absolute influence in the making of a star. These experts also know all about the personal episodes and the very human worries like the rest of us that the top stars have.

Vocal trainer Go Yoo Hee, who was in charge of the training of stars like Rain, Wonder Girls, 2PM, and 2AMrevealed, "I first met HyunA when she was a fifth grader in elementary school. She has a sexiness that you're just born with, and that itself caused a lot of problems."

Trainer Go continued, "Her sexiness really popped even in average clothing of plain colors so we had to dress her in colorful clothes meant for little children in order to cover some of that. Unfortunately, that must have made her look vulnerable, because there were times she was a target of bullies who would take her wallets in the subway stations."

Enthusiasm of 400 fans in London Airport Upon the Arrival of BEAST/4minute

BEAST, 4minute, G.NA, etc from Cube Entertainment felt the K-pop storm on London directly.

They arrived at Heathrow Airport, London on 4th December local time. They went out from the gate after 1 hour of immigration process. When they first went out from the gate, the first thing they saw were 400 local fans.



A representative from Cube Entertainment revealed to Star News, "More than 400 local fans came to the airport with placards etc, we were really surprised."

And explained how was the situation, "They showed their enthusiasm by gathering together at once when they saw the artists. Because they gathered at once and so suddenly, the artists couldn't greeted them properly."

They also added, "BEAST, 4minute, and G.NA are really thankful for all the support of U.K fans. They will repay all the love with the concert."

BEAST, 4minute, and G.NA held the 'United Cube Concert in London' on 5th December 7.30 PM in OS Brixton Academy.

Meanwhile, 4minute's Hyunah and BEAST's Jang Hyunseung who is currently promoting their single as a sub-unit 'Trouble Maker' couldn't go on the same flight. But they will arrive before the concert starts and join the concert.

4minute's Season's Greetings set for 12/23 Release!

To usher in the holidays this year, 4minute will be releasing their very own set of season's greetings! Not only will this set include 4minute's first official calendar for the year of 2012, but also a diary, postcard set, 4minute masking tape, and stickers!

Currently, the set is up for pre-order only for Korean fans at such sites as GMARKET (starting on 12/10), AUCTION (starting 12/13), and EBAY on the 23rd. We're sure it will be available for order from international sites some time soon as well. We'll keep an eye out for all the international 4nia just drooling to get their hands on this hot item!

T-ara's "Roly Poly" will become musical "Our Youth Roly Poly" next year

The music video of "Roly Poly" by the girl band T-ara will be turned into a musical next year, according to the group's record label.

Culture Act production announced on Dec. 8 that a musical, "Our Youth Roly Poly," will begin a run from Jan. 13 to Feb. 25. The musical is based on the theme of T-ara's music video and will feature T-ara's Ji Yeon, SoYeon and Hyomin, as well as Kang Min-kyung from the female duo Davichi.

The musical is set in the 1980s and will center on a group of middle aged girlfriends. The girl band members will play high school students and the adult characters will be played by musical actress Park Hae-mi and singer Jang Hye Jin. Male leads are to be played by singer Kim Jae Hee and actor Yoon Young Joon. Another notable cast member to feature in the musical is the veteran musical actor Han Jin Sub who performed in "Mamma Mia" and "Dae Jang Geum." After a run at Seongnam Art Center the production will make a tour of 10 cities around the country.

Soyeon's 1st ever work as T-ara's leader revealed

This time, Soyeon will be the 4th leader of T-ara after Eunjung, Boram and Hyomin starting on January 2012 as they start Lovey Dovey promotions.

On December 9, T-ara's agency reveals pictures of Hyomin in the editing room [for Lovey Dovey MV] wherein she is transferring her responsibilities to Soyeon.

T-ara representative stated, “On December 8, Soyeon participated in the editing process of their music video for Lovey Dovey as her first work as the leader, along Hyomin. This part is only for leader. This includes, video editing, mixing, outfit conceptualizing, and scheduling.”

He added, “Hyomin and Soyeon consulted with Lovey Dovey MV director Cha Eun Taec for editing."

Hyomin said, “It's really hard to lead because of our Japan schedule but it's a good experience. Soyeon who is older than me, is more responsible and mature so I'm sure she'll do a good job.”

Soyeon said, “Before, I'm always envious of leader position, but now I'm starting to get nervous by participating in meetings and video editing of Lovey Dovey. Since 'Cry Cry' received so much love from people, I will give my best for 'Lovey Dovey' so it'll receive more love too."
