Siwon becomes the first Korean celebrity to surpass 3 million followers on Twitter

 

Super Junior‘s Siwon is officially the first Korean celebrity to surpass 3 million followers on Twitter!

 

As of January 5th midnight, Siwon’s Twitter is being followed by an audience of 3,002,170 users, making him the Korean celebrity with the most followers in the world. The global idol also became the first to reach 1 million in December of 2011, and apparently, his popularity has only been growing.

 

Aside from Super Junior’s loyal fans, part of the reason why he has gained so many followers may be due to his constant communication with his fans through the social networking site. He’s known to thank his fan club for sending food and other gifts to his drama sets as well as posting behind-the-scene photos.

 

Siwon has posted photos of himself with notable people such as director Steven Spielberg and designer Karl Lagerfeld as well as Korean sports stars working abroad.

 

In anticipation of reaching the 3 million mark, Siwon tweeted:

Baek Ji Young has released her new single titled “I Hate It“!

 

Renowned pianist Yiruma and composer 2FACE, who teamed up as ‘Mind Tailor’,  have written and composed the single, lending a hand to the soloist’s anticipated comeback.

 

WS Entertainment stated previously, “Baek Ji Young and Yiruma’s collaboration is their first project [together] through which the two artists’ were able to express their common musical and emotional understandings. ‘I Hate It’ is more than just a ‘crossover’ of classical and popular music; it’s a ballad song based on Yiruma’s trademark ability to bring out emotions, and Baek Ji Young’s sorrowful voice adds to the beautiful melody [to create] a story.”

Krystal and Sulli are the new faces of Etude!

 Etude reveals its new endorsers. F(x) members Krystal and Sulli will be joining SHINee as the new faces of cosmetic brand 'Etude" which was endorsed by 2NE1's Dara for the past two years.

Through a video, SHInee introduces the two girls.

For Dara fans, don't worry. Lee Hyosup, the AP marketing and sales promotions manager who worked with Dara revealed that Dara will endorse another beauty brand.

Park Yoochun Films All Night For 'I Miss You' In 22 Degrees Weather

It was recently found that Park Yoochun filmed all night for the MBC Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘I Miss You’ during the coldest cold wave of the winter season.

With the coldest cold wave hitting the nation today, JYJ’s Official Facebook page revealed the recent whereabouts of Park Yoochun. A photo of Park Yoochun was posted with the words, “The temperature hit a record of -22 degrees on set in Paju. Please give your support to Detective Han Jung Woo.”

A representative stated, “Though the coldest cold wave has hit the nation, Park Yoochun has been filming all night for his drama. We’re using everything we can to keep warm such as hot packs, furnaces, blankets and hot tea, but because it’s snowing so much and the roads have frozen over, we’ve been faced with many difficulties,” and “But because the 17th episode contains crucial plot points that will help Han Jung Woo solve his case, Park Yoochun is completely focused on his acting, as expected from the crazed rabbit. Park Yoochun’s professionalism and ability to focus on his acting regardless of the cold weather is amazing.”

Qri updates fans with her Christmas project

 

T-ara‘s Qri returned to Twitter after being on hiatus for over a month and updated fans on her recent Christmas project.

 

Qri shared the photo below and wrote, “This erases my trivial thoughts and my sense of accomplishment reaches the sky!! Ok, then hwaiting for today as well..”

On the upcoming broadcast of JTBC‘s ‘Lee Soo Geun and Kim Byung Man’s High Society‘, Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk and Shindong will face off along with the MCs in an exciting dance battle.

 

While recently filming for the episode, Eunhyuk showed off his shuffle dance skills to various genres of music while Shindong put his own twist on Moon Hee Jun‘s unforgettable H.O.T dance moves.

Krystal and Sulli to join SHINee as models for ‘Etude House’ in 2013

 

f(x)‘s Krystal and Sulli will be joining SHINee to endorse the cosmetic brand ‘Etude House‘.

 

In 2012, the brand was endorsed by SHINee and 2NE1‘s Dara. However, it appears Dara has stepped down from the endorsement and handed the baton over to Krystal and Sulli.

 

Through a video posted on YouTube, the two girls were introduced by SHINee, and then came out to express their thoughts on becoming the new models. As Etude House goes for a cute, girly image, Krystal and Sulli matches perfectly with the brand. SHINee has also gained much love for the being the face of the brand, and many are looking forward to another year with them.

Leeteuk shares his fondness for girl groups and HyunA

 

Leeteuk talked about what he was fond of now that he’s in the army.

 

On the 4th, MBC‘s ‘Section TV‘ had a segment on the musical ‘The Promise‘. It featured Leeteuk, Yunhak, Ji Hyun Woo, Kim Moo Yeol, Lee Hyun, and Jung Tae Woo.

 

On the segment, they were asked, “What is the most precious to you now that you’ve enlisted?“. Leeteuk answered, “My family and girl groups“. Jung Tae Woo joked, “What’s the name of the SISTAR member that I like?“, to which Leeteuk wittily replied, “You’re married“.

 

Leeteuk continued, “I am especially experiencing an incredible gratitude towards HyunA. HyunA, please work harder. I love you“, causing everyone to laugh.

Baek Ji Young sweeps the charts with “I Hate It”

 

Baek Ji Young‘s new single “I Hate It” has been sweeping the music charts only a day after being released!

 

“I Hate It”, which was released on January 3rd, has taken 1st place on online music charts such as Melon, Mnet, Bugs Music, Soribada, and Naver Music. The song had initially gained a lot of interest from pianist Yiruma‘s participation and of course, Baek Ji Young’s powerful vocals.

In related news Baek Ji Young will be holding her second solo concert ‘An Outing After 7 Years‘ on February 16th KST at Jamsil Gymnasium.

"Park Yuchun Media Day" in Beijing

 Sina Entertainment news: JYJ member, Park Yuchun will be meeting the media in a hotel in Beijing on 11 January.  “Park Yuchun Media day” will be CJeS Entertaiment’s first time holding an official activity in China. Because of dramas “Rooftop Prince” and “Missing You”, Park Yuchun is very well-received in China and will be officially meeting China media.

Through this activity, Park Yuchun will be talking about his work activities, recent developments and other concerns raised by the China media.  China fans have been holding petitions to hold fan meetings and Park Yuchun’s popularity in China is exploding. Park Yoochun's New Year's Resolution

Actor Park Yoochun revealed his special New Year’s wish.

The ’2012 SBS Drama Awards’ ceremony was held on the 31st at the SBS Prism Tower and was led by Jung Ryeo Won and Lee Dong Wook.

On this day, Park Yoochun was chosen to receive the Popularity Award. To this, MC Lee Dong Wook asked, “What’s your New Year’s resolution?” and to this, Park Yoochun replied, “It’s more of a dream that I would like to keep alive rather than a New Year’s resolution.”

Park Yoochun continued to add, “My dream is to not live away from my family, no matter what happens.”

At the awards ceremony, Park Yoochun won a total of four awards: the Teenager’s Choice Award, Outstanding Actor Award, Best Couple Award and Popularity Award.

Park Yoo Cheon tried harder to make Han Ji Min shiver

Park Yoo-Cheon confessed that Han Ji-Min shivered more when they had a kiss scene. Kim Min-Jong and Yoon Jin-Yi of ‘Gentle Man’s Dignity’ and Park Yoo-Cheon and Han Ji-Min of ‘Rooftop Prince’ received best couple award at ‘2012 SBS Acting Awards’.

Park Yoo-Cheon said, “I thought our couple fits well, and I am very thankful toward the award” and Han Ji-Min said, “I want to thank the fans, viewers and Park Yoo-Cheon.” To the question ‘Who shivered more while the kiss scene?’, Park Yoo-Cheon answered, “I shivered, but I tried to make Ji-Min shiver more than I did.” About this, Jeong Ryeo-Won showed jealousy.
