MBLAQ & 4minute to have a joint performance on SBS’s “2010 Gayo Daejun”
Earlier this week, SBS revealed their line-up of performers for their year-end “2010 Gayo Daejun” music festival.
Hosted by CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa, actress Hwang Jung Eum, 2AM’s Jo Kwon and Super Junior’s Heechul, SBS’s “Gayo Daejun” promises to be an exciting show, as they plan to wow the audience with elaborate stages and a special maknae performance of Britney Spears‘ “Circus“.
To heighten the anticipation for the event, wedding photos of MBLAQ and 4minute were unveiled today. Dressed up as brides and grooms, these two groups will come together for a musical-type performance!
Reportedly, all the members enjoyed the collaboration, and the atmosphere on the photoshoot set was warm and friendly.

SISTAR’s Bora apologizes to KARA fans
Just yesterday, we reported that SISTAR’s Bora revealed how her fellow member Hyorin was aKARA fangirl. While this may not seem like an issue, Korean netizens reprimanded Bora for her usage of informal speech.
Through her Twitter, she had originally posted, “Hyorin is currently fangirling KARA~~^_^” She then corrected the post by writing “KARA-sunbaes“; the term ’sunbae’ is used to respect one’s seniors in the workplace.
So what happened that forced Bora to quickly change up the posts? Below is a written translation of the exchange (from most recent to oldest):

T-ara’s Hyomin introduces her boyfriend
T-ara’s Hyomin uploaded a mysterious picture of her ‘boyfriend’ through her personal Twitter.
On December 24th, she tweeted, “I’d like to introduce my boyfriend ^^ I’m spending Christmas with my boyfriend, merong!,” along with a photo of her ‘man’ wrapping his arms around her.
She later uploaded a third photo that revealed the boyfriend to be none other than fellow member, Eunjung.
Netizens commented, “Such a beautiful couple!,” and “Eunjung unni is a pretty flowerboy?”
Mnet Media is not concerned about the T-ara plastic surgery statement
Mnet Media has spoken up and revealed that they’re not very concerned about the controversy surrounding a statement Senator Ahn Sang Soo had made regarding T-ara and plastic surgery.
Earlier, netizens began speculating about how the cancellation of a “T-ara’s Dream Girls” episode was likely associated with the senator’s comment.
Previously, the senator made the statement, “The group’s name is T-ara? Is T-ara famous? I can’t tell their faces apart. Does everyone these days get plastic surgery for the whole body? These days it’s not plastic surgery just for the face, but they do it everywhere.”
On December 24th, representatives of T-ara’s agency, Core Contents Media, spoke with Star News and revealed, “There is no confirmation as to whether he was regarding T-ara, and since he spoke out on something that is his own opinion, we are not too concerned with the matter.”
Mnet Media is of the same opinion. An Mnet representative stated, “The cancellation of the December 22nd episode was because there wasn’t enough time to edit. We’ll be releasing the episode next week.”

4Minute Peformance On Music Bank Christmas Special
4Minute are set to appear in tomorrows special Christmas episode of Music Bank. There are still doubts in the air as to when their Korea comeback will be as the recent release of their first full length Japanese album, DIAMOND, had some Korean tunes included. But little has been said about their Korea promotions. The only thing confirmed, however, is their peformance of 'Jingle Bell Rock'. Should be a great rendition ahead.
Furthermore KBS has announced a special event where the best Christmas card sent to them, would be rewarded with a personal item from the group. Other bands participating in this event are Rainbow, Orange Caramel and T-ara among others. A chosen message sent by the fans will also be read by them personally on the show too.

SISTAR’s Hyorin is a KARA fan!
SISTAR’s Hyorin had KARA fans in stitches after they discovered her fangirl-ing moment in a photo.
Recently, Bora posted a picture through her Twitter of Hyorin sitting on a couch and watching KARA perform. She then attached the hilarious caption, ”Hyorin is currently fangirling KARA sunbaes!”
Netizens who saw the picture commented, “The dazed Hyorin is very cute,” “Didn’t know Hyorin was a KARA maniac,” and “It’s nice to see them cheer on each other.”
Her entertainment company, STARSHIP Entertainment, also added, “Because SISTAR’s Hyorin likes KARA so much, she watches every broadcast that they make an appearance on.”
Super Junior’s Shindong & KARA’s Gyuri kiss on new comedy program
Super Junior’s Shindong gave a surprise kiss to KARA’s Gyuri on SBS’s “Good Time 230“!
“Good Time 230″ is new comedy show which boasts a different format – instead of the usual gagmen (or women) interacting with special guests, “Good Time 230″ uses idols as the main actors.
The episode recorded on December 17th featured a special ‘Christmas date’ segment with Shindong and Gyuri, who had to act out a ‘Christmas kiss’ scene.
The two are already well-acquainted because they host the radio show ”Shimshimtapa“together. Consequently, they were able to show off their perfect synchronization and acting skills. Viewers were especially amused over the fact that Shindong has a real girlfriend, but still played along with the scene.
The full episode will be broadcast through SBS on December 25th at 12:10 AM KST.
Invincible Youth’s PD shares his thoughts about the last episode
With KBS’s variety show ‘Invincible Youth‘ coming to an end, the show’s PD (Kim Ho Sung) shared his thoughts about the final episode through his personal Twitter account.
On December 23rd, he tweeted in English, “We are left with the last episode of Invincible Youth this friday. I think it’s so sad to close the show but it has not ended. The show must go on.”
Following up, he also posted, “We will be having a Christmas special with the village people of Yuchiri for the last episode of ‘Invincible Youth’.”
A picture from the set was uploaded along with the message, in which you could see (from left to right) T-ara’s Hyomin, KARA’s Goo Hara, and After School’s Jooyeon singing Christmas carols with the seniors from the village.
Mnet clarifies the reason why ‘T-ara Dream Girls’ episode was cancelled
After wrapping up their ‘air stewardess’ challenge for their show, ‘T-ara Dream Girls‘, the members prepared to tackle their ‘National Assembly’ challenge for the following week.
But to everyone’s surprise, the episode was cancelled. Many netizens have been making controversial speculations as to why the episode failed to air.
Mnet announced that the cancellation of this week’s episode had no relation to the recent comment made by Senator Ahn Sang Soo of the National Grand Party.
“The cancellation of the December 22nd episode was due to the last-minute decision of creating a challenge with the National Assembly. We had such a tight editing process that we decided to air it next week,” explained an Mnet representative on December 23rd.
They continued, “The situation has no political grounds. We are baffled by people saying the episode was cancelled because of Senator Ahn Sang Soo’s comments.”
Recently, Senator Ahn Sang Soo made a visit to a facility for children with severe disabilities, called ‘Young Nak Aenea’s Home‘. On this day, the senator said, “The group’s name is T-ara? Is T-ara famous? I can’t tell their faces apart. Does everyone these days get plastic surgery for the whole body? These days it’s not plastic surgery just for the face, but they do it everywhere.”
Responding to this, Mnet emphasized, “Regarding his “whole body plastic surgery” statement, he didn’t say it to point out the T-ara members specifically.”
Super Junior’s Yesung & f(x)’s Luna to release a duet for “President”
Super Junior’s Yesung and f(x)’s Luna will be teaming up to release a duet track titled, “And I Love You“, for KBS’s “President, OST Part 2.”
The song was produced by Lee Sang Joon (of Taeyeon’s “Can You Hear Me“) and lyricist Bae Hwa Young; it’s been determined to be used as the drama’s ‘love theme’.
Super Junior’s “Biting My Lips” (which was released in part 1 of the drama’s OST compilation) performed well on the charts, and it’s expected that the addition of this duet ballad will skyrocket the group’s OST songs to even greater popularity.
Achieve Group DN, the production company for the OST, commented, “The harmonization of their voices was exceptional. The sad melody and emotional lyrics mesh well together in creating a luxurious ballad track that will surely be the best of this winter season.”
“And I Love You” will debut on the December 23rd episode of “President’, and become available on the 30th.
