Siwon to guest on first episode of ‘Strong Heart 2′

Super Junior‘s Siwon will be one of the first guests to appear on SBS’ ‘Strong Heart 2‘.

The first season wrapped up filming on January 17th, and Siwon will be featured on the first episode of the new reboot. ‘Strong Heart 2′ PD Shin Hyo Jung stated, “Siwon has been confirmed as a guest for the first filming of ‘Strong Heart 2′ on [February] 7th. Currently, Siwon will be featuring alongside 2-3 additional guests, but the other guests have not been confirmed as of yet.”

Actress Kim Hee Sun, singer Yoon Jong Shin, and comedian Shin Dong Yup will be the new MCs of the revamped talk show, which will feature more participation from the audience than the first season, creating a more comfortable and honest talk show.

KARA’s Seungyeon cast in ‘Jang Ok Jung, Living in Love’

KARA‘s Seungyeon has been cast in her first ever historical genre drama!

She will be joining Yoo Ah In, Kim Tae Hee, among others on ‘Jang Ok Jung, Living in Love‘. Her character is from a poor background, but she becomes one of the several wives of the king and succeeds in having her son inherit the throne. She will be vying for Yoo Ah In’s love against Kim Tae Hee.

Even though Seungyeon is extremely busy traveling to and from Japan, she is said to have prepared diligently. Her label DSP Media said, “Seungyeon has been dreaming about acting. She looked carefully and sincerely over ‘Jang Ok Jung, Living in Love’. She has made cameos before and starred in Japanese dramas before, but this is her first time acting in a historical genre drama. She’s working hard and preparing her best.”

The drama will air in April.

Henry thanks fans for supporting Super Junior-M’s “Break Down” stage in Korea

Super Junior-M‘s Henry thanked his fans in supporting the Korean stage of “Break Down“.

Because Super Junior-M is Super Junior‘s Chinese subunit, the group never promoted officially in Korea before.

However, even though the members had no official promotions in Korea, they received tremendous support for their special stage on ‘M! Countdown‘.

Henry was incredibly touched by the support, and took to Twitter to write, “I was so so so happy after I performed on stage in Korea today!! I’m so very happy because I was able to meet fans who supported Super Junior-M. I’ll work hard from now on too, so please give us a lot of love!! I’ll buy you guys food one day ^^“.

Although he wrote “fan (팬)” as “pen (펜)“, his cute and nearly flawless Korean amused many fans as well as his promise to buy his fans food.

On January 31st, stars, idol groups, and musicians walked the red carpet at the Olympic Park in Seoul for the ‘22nd Seoul Music Awards‘.

The awards show first began in 1990 and is held annually by Sports Seoul to recognize outstanding achievements in the Korean music industry. It is one of the big four music award ceremonies in Korea, alongside the ‘Mnet Asian Music Awards’, ‘Golden Disk Awards’, and ‘Melon Music Awards’.

BoA talks about working with Taemin for her Disturbance MV

On January 27th, BoA held a press conference at the Seoul Olympic Hall for her first solo concert in Korea, 'BoA Special Live 2013~ Here I Am~'. On the topic of Taemin's appearance in the music video for her new single, 'Disturbance', BoA expressed, "It was a lot of hard work trying to choose a innocent looking face."

The music video revolves around a couple facing difficulties with their relationship. BoA was asked why she chose Taemin to fulfill this role to which she replied, "I was looking for an actor with an innocent yet masculine image. Many people recommended Taemin so I got to film with him. Maybe that's why the music video came out sweeter than I expected. I think a lot of fans will be jealous but I hope they'll see it nicely."

She shared that she heard the two of them came out quite affectionately on the jacket photos. They worked hard to display that tender image. Boa expressed her gratitude and said, "We were really tight for time while filming the music video, but SHINee provided an immense load of help so we were able to finish safely."
