Jiyeon reveals the promise she was able to fulfill for her dad on ‘Star Life Theater’

A while back, Jiyeon of girl group T-ara was seen shedding a few emotional tears after receiving a surprise visit from her father at a fan signing event.

The July 9th episode of KBS2‘s ‘Star Life Theater‘ revealed behind-the-scenes footage of girl group T-ara and the story behind the heartfelt day was revealed.

As mentioned previously, during a fan meet and greet, Jiyeon’s father made a surprise visit, causing Jiyeon to become overcome with emotion seeing him there.

“I came because I missed you,” he told her, pulling his daughter in for a warm embrace. Jiyeon was unable to hold back her tears, and her father who said “I came to see my baby because it’s been so long since I’ve seen her,” left quickly afterward, afraid he would only get in her way.

Through the interview on ‘Star Life Theater’, she revealed, “I really didn’t know [he would be there]…There’s a promise I made with my dad after I made my debut. My dad has bad teeth. I promised him I would get him some new teeth, and I’m happy I was able to fulfill that promise,” she shared with a content smile on her face.

Victoria confesses to an embarrassing mistake she made while learning Korean

f(x)‘s Victoria has shared a personal experience in which she made a mistake while learning Korean.

On the July 9th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Come to Play’, Victoria confessed, “Learning Korean was difficult.”

The f(x) member then added, “I made a lot of mistakes.”

When ‘Come to Play’ host Yoo Jae Suk asked her to explain herself and give an example, Victoria hesitated a bit before continuing. ”While filming for MBC’s ‘We Got Married’, I made a mistake with a taxi driver.” Victoria went on to reveal, “Although the driver’s name was ‘Goo Ja In’, I wrote his name as ‘Go Ja In’ (meaning ‘eunuch’ in Korean) while giving him an autograph.”

With this cute confession, Victoria brought about a lot of smiles and laughter among the cast and guests of the show.

In other news, a number of girl group leaders appeared as guests on this July 9th episode of ‘Come to Play’ and displayed their variety skills.

Hyomin cooks for her fellow members

T-ara‘s Hyomin showcased her culinary skills, preparing a meal for her fellow members.

On the July 9th broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Star Life Theater‘, Hyomin remarked, “For the past three years, we all lived together in a dorm but started living apart for the first time. We are now going around holding house warmings.”

It was her turn to hold her house warming, and Hyomin worked to prepare goongjoong tteokbokki,which was thoroughly enjoyed by her fellow members Jiyeon and Eunjung. As they ate, the girls reminisced of the past few years they spent together.

“It hasn’t been that long since we all began living separately,” Eunjung said. “We lived together for nearly three years. It was a little hard because it was a bit disorganized, but it was nice because we were able to get through difficult times together.”

Girl group members reveal how team leaders are decided on ‘Come to Play’

On July 9th, girl group leaders Hyosung (SECRET), Hyorin (SISTAR), Gyuri (KARA), JeA (Brown Eyed Girls), Victoria (f(x)), and Sun (Wonder Girls) gathered for a special ‘Battle of the Girls‘ broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Come To Play‘.

The leaders took the time to answer how they were selected to become the leaders of their respective groups.

Hyosung, Gyuri, and Victoria revealed that they were selected because they were the eldest of their group, while JeA was chosen as the leader since she was the one who recruited the members of Brown Eyed Girls, and Sun was selected for being the longest trainee of six years. Hyorin did not give an answer.

In response to Sunye, MC Yoo Jae Suk remarked, “Yes they should make you the leader if you’ve worked that hard,” causing fellow emcee Nayoung to hilariously blurt, “What is there to train for six years?” causing everyone in to the studio to burst out laughing.

In addition, each leader bragged about their teams and shared some of the hardships of being a leader.

Boram compliments f(x) on ‘Star Life Theater’

T-ara member Boram has given a brief, yet kind compliment to f(x).

On the July 9th episode of KBS‘s ‘Star Life Theater’, the hard work, effort, sweat, and the honest concerns of the T-ara members, normally hidden backstage during broadcasts, were revealed.

During this episode, while T-ara waited for their turn to perform for ‘Music Bank’s half year wrap-up special, member Boram watched fellow idol group f(x)’s performance.

When asked how it felt to watch other singers perform, Boram answered simply, “It feels like I’m watching celebrities,” and then added with a smile, “[They look] really cool.”

Boram continued to talk about f(x) in particular, stating “Seeing them in person now, they look even cooler and prettier. They all look really pretty.”

Eunjung discusses her initial embarrassment about “Bo Peep Bo Peep”

T-ara‘s Eunjung explained how their hit song earned the title, “Bo Peep Bo Peep“.

The July 9th broadcast of KBS‘ ‘Star Life Theater‘ revealed behind-the-scenes footage of T-ara and how hard they worked to rise to the top of the industry.

Member Eunjung shared, “The original title [for "Bo Peep Bo Peep"] was actually ‘Bbee Bbo Bbee Bbo’.”

“But the more we listened to the song, the lyrics ‘BbeeBboBbeeBboBbee’, sounded like ‘Bo Peep Bo Peep’, and thus the extremely cute song was created,” she explained.

Eunjung then shared her thoughts on the choreography and stage outfits for the song. “It was so embarrassing in the beginning,” she said with a laugh. “We had stuff hanging from our ears, we had tails, we shook our butts- we were really embarrassed.”

“But the song became daebak,” she said. “It even seized #1 on the Oricon in Japan and we heard that it’s still very popular in Thailand. Thinking back now, I’m extremely grateful for this song.”

'Running Man' to hold idol olympics special with Nichkhun, Eunhyuk, Lee Joon, Yonghwa & more

SBS’ ‘Running Man’ joins the festivities for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and will hold their very own idol olympics special featuring the hottest idols.

According to a representative for SBS, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, 2PM’s Nichkhun, ZE:A’s Im Si Wan, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, CNBLUE’s Yonghwa and B2ST’s Doojoon have all been confirmed to appear in the upcoming special. T-ara’s Eunjung is the only female guest to appear in the episode.

Numerous photos of the idols were quickly uploaded onto various Social Networking Sites (SNS) and have caught the attention of many fans. They were spotted having a recording at the Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

Super Junior sets record by topping Taiwan's KKBOX Chart for 110th week

The unbeatable Hallyu group, Super Junior, has made a new record in Taiwan, solidifying the No.1 title for 110 consecutive weeks.

With the release of Super Junior’s latest track “Sexy, Free & Single” on July 4, the song took over the Korean Top 100 Singles Chart of KKBOX, the biggest Taiwanese music website, during the first week of July. With this, Super Junior still cemented at the #1 spot of the charts for 110th weeks.

Super Junior ranked 1st for 63 weeks starting from June of 2010 with their 4th album “Bonamana”. The dominance continue after the release of their 5th album “Mr. Simple” which took over the first spot for 46 weeks.

Hyomin is happy after receiving a bag filled with ice-cream from a fan

T-ara's Hyomin can't help but be grateful and happy when she received a bunch of different kinds of ice cream. On the 9th of July, Hyomin updated her twitter account and shared, "While I was filming for a drama in front of an elementary school, my stylist went to our car and gave me a bag filled with ice cream which is from a student that is a fan. It was really hot that day and It was very thoughtful, thank you so much".

Along with her update she shared a bag filled with different kinds of ice cream. It was a perfect treat for Hyomin as it was a hot summer day and a couple of ice cream bars would be a good idea to cool off. Netizens commented, "That's really cute", "That's so thoughtful of the fan to sneak in the presents to not disturb the filming", "What a sweet fan".
