Super Junior themed restaurant & cram school in Taiwan spark attention

Yet another sign of Super Junior‘s international popularity has made itself onto the news in Taiwan: a restaurant recently got a complete makeover in celebration of the group’s upcoming visit to the island country!

With a boggling collection of merchandise from the group’s earlier promotion cycles to “Mr Simple” and even freshly released SS4 Taiwan posters, this restaurant is the ELF’s ultimate dream. The restaurant undertook the themed makeover in anticipation for Super Junior’s upcoming visit to Taiwan for the‘Super Show 4‘ World Tour, where the boys will perform four shows from February 2nd to 5th at the Taipei Arena.

“Every day, there’s definitely been a fivefold increase of traffic here,” the store owner revealed. According to the report, the restaurant is always crowded and the staff is constantly phone calls to schedule reservations.

Furthermore, Kyuhyun‘s dad has drawn attention for opening a cram school in Taipei called U.P.i Academy, dedicated to teaching Korean to students in Taiwan. Admission is selective as it requires a basic knowledge of Korean with a minimum of 2,000 words. The language academy is scheduled to open on February 3rd, Kyuhyun’s birthday.

“In the first half of this year, eleven Hallyu idols will visit Taiwan,” the reporter reveals, noting CNBLUE‘s upcoming concert at the end of February, whose tickets sold out in just 13 minutes.

The clip has already drawn international attention and envy from international ELFs around the globe. One Taiwanese viewer commented, “It’s currently the Hallyu generation. Don’t be the frog at the bottom of a well [narrow-minded].”

What do Goo Hara, Eunhyuk, & Won Bin have in common?

KARA member Goo Hara shared one of her insecurities.

The singer guest-featured on a recent ‘Shh! Secrets of the Stars‘ themed episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Entertainment Replay’, along with Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk.

On the episode, Goo Hara once again shared the fact that she felt insecure about smiling too wide or laughing out loud.

“You can see all my gums which is unattractive when I smile really big, and it makes me feel really insecure,” she confessed.

Super Junior member Eunhyuk, however, responded by saying, “You got nothing on me,” showcasing his gums with a big smile. “Even Won Bin shows gums when he smiles,” he added, causing everyone on set to explode in laughter.

The stars also confessed that they were insecure about their bare faces, as well as afraid to publicly reveal their relationships.

Luna displaying her acting skills for ‘Saving Ahjumma Go Bong Sil’

f(x) member Luna is trying her hand at acting for the very first time through TV Chosun‘s new weekend drama, ‘Saving Ahjumma Goo Bong Sil‘, and she proved to be quite the actress.

On the episode that aired on the 21st, Luna played the role of Seo In Young, a bubbly college student and Go Bong Sil’s youngest immature daughter. Displaying her acting prowess, she was able to cry on demand, an acting move that comes across as extremely difficult for most rookies. Because of this, she earned the praises of her staff members and viewers alike.

After In Young finds out for the first time that her mother is living alone, away from her family in Itaewon, In Young throws herself in her mother’s arms and explodes into tears.

As soon as she came on set, Luna immediately got into character to prepare for the shoot, and was focused on brewing her emotions to pull of the scene. Her senior, veteran Kim Hae Suk, who thinks of her as her own daughter helped her even before the rehearsals started and warmly offered her all the advice she could. And as soon as it was time to shoot the scene, Luna shed her tears on cue like a pro.

PD Yoon Sang Ho remarked, “Luna is proving to be a better actress than we expected and we were pleasantly surprised. She is showing an intense passion for acting and we have high expectations for her in the future.”

Seungyeon: “Now that I am 25, I want to fall in love!”

Everyone is looking for love, and it seems like KARA‘s Han Seungyeon is no exception!

On January 24th, MBC aired their Lunar New Year’s special, ‘Pit-a-Pat Shake‘, where Seungyeon revealed her intention to fall in love soon. “I think it is time for me to find a boyfriend,” she laughed.

During her interview, she directed a bold message to her company by sending a video with the following message: “I am now a 25 -year-old woman [23 in Western age]. Stop teasing me and introduce me to a boy so I can start dating!”

She jokingly threatened, “If you don’t let me, I will start rebelling. I dare you to stop me.”

On this episode of ‘Pit-a-Pat Shake’, four couples (consisting of Park Hwi Soon-Han Sunhwa, Lee Tae Sung-Seungyeon, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon-After School’s Lizzy, and Super Junior’sSungmin-SISTAR’s Hyorin) performed duet stages together.

Gyuri confesses to soccer player Ki Sungyong

KARA member Gyuri confessed her love for the soccer player Ki Sungyong of Scotland Celtics.

During the recent episode of "Lululala" segment of MBC "Our Sunday Night", the members of the show were discussing on making national song for the "2012 Olympics". Kim Yong Man asked Gyuri, "Is there a sport you can think of?" and Gyuri replied, "I really enjoy watching soccer. I’m actually friends with soccer player Ki Sungyong."

MC Jung Hyung Don then jokingly asked her to leave a message and Gyuri cheered for him. Not satisfied, Jung Hyung Don said, "That's too weak!". To this, Gyuri said, "I love you friend. I love you Sung Yong", and surprised everyone.

Recently, a survey was conducted from the 27th of December to the 20th of January and the question for the survey was, "Which singer that was born on the year of the dragon do you think will succeed this year?" and on the survey where mostly those in the 20's and 30's voted, T-ara's Eungjung achieved first place.

The other nominated were After School's UEE, Kara's Seung Hyun and singer Park Jung Hyun. The results of the survey showed that girl group popularity and influence is still present. Eunjung also has impressed the netizens a lot especially with her growth as an artist. Not only as a member of T-ara but also as an actress and a model.

Eunjung is not only admired by the public but also by the industry. Advertisers alike are fond of her saying that for being such an all-around entertainer, her future is sure to be bright.

Super Junior's Siwon revealed where he spends his vacation in Europe.

Recently, Siwon tweeted a photo while in the airport and wrote that he is going to somewhere. After a day, another photo was shared, he revealed that he is currently in Europe but in what part of Europe and let the fans guess it.

But this time, he tweeted a new photo of himself and revealed where he is.

"Hello amazing city London! Let’s make a beautiful time with me. find me now ;P " Siwon wrote and attached his picture.

In the picture, Siwon is smiling gently while showing the beautiful street of London.
