The ladies of KARA took on a sporty image for K-SWISS.

Although the girls are known for their cute, sexy appeal, they went chic and sporty for K-SWISS’ 2013 spring/summer “It’s my showtime” photo shoot.

K-SWISS chose KARA as endorsement models because, “KARA’s sexy and healthy charm matched well with K-SWISS’ new 2013 product line. We are looking forward to getting a good response from consumers.”

SHINee’s Jonghyun is obsessed with anime?

SHINee‘s Jonghyun may be an otaku. The idol star bared his obsession with anime on the February 19th broadcast of MBC Music‘s ‘SHINee’s Wonderful Day‘.

On his trip to Japan, Jonghyun spent a day in an animation mall, looking through loot from anime series like ‘One Piece‘ and ‘Gundam‘. He mentioned that even during promotions with SHINee, he studied Japanese in order to understand anime better.

Jonghyun was also disappointed by the high prices of some souvenirs, like a 3D Gundam image for 2,700 Japanese yen (35,000 KRW; ~32.50 USD). He was pretty satisfied with how he spent his free time, however. He said happily, “Spending a day with anime in Japan felt like I was returning to my childhood roots. It was romantic.“

Hang out with SHINee, Super Junior, and 2PM for YouTube’s ‘A-Pop’ Channel launch

To celebrate YouTube‘s launch of the ‘A-Pop’ (Asian pop) Channel, where you can enjoy music from your favorite K-pop artists to those from J-Pop and C-Pop as well, a series of Google+ hangouts will be held!

While the hangout is sadly online, fans can actually have a chance to videochat live with the members of SHINee, Super Junior, or 2PM!

The hangout series will kick off in March with the three mentioned artists representing the K-pop category. SHINee will be up first on March 8th, Super Junior will follow on March 10th, and finally 2PM will close off for the K-pop artists on March 13th!

Sulli goes bare faced for ‘Etude House’

f(x)‘s Sulli went completely bare faced for ‘Etude House‘.

Sulli displayed her completely makeup-less face for the ‘Etude House’ special of ‘Get It Beauty Self‘. The special videos are around 2 minutes long, and teach how to obtain certain makeup looks to viewers. She showed every step of her own makeup routine using the ‘Etude House’ products, and didn’t forget fanservice as she puckered up, winked, and threw her trademark eye-smile at her fans.

A representative of the marketing team for ‘Get It Beauty Self said, “Sulli knows how to put on makeup very well, unlike a lot of girls her age. She was applauded by the entire staff.”

Jonghyun clears up misunderstandings related to dropping out of high school

Jonghyun cleared up what he really meant in an earlier interview.

The interview for Nylon with SHINee was revealed earlier today, where he was asked, “What do you especially regret?“. He answered, “Dropping out. I don’t think it was that great to drop out of high school to go to the music school. I felt like I was wasting my time studying back then, but now that I look back on it, I don’t think it had to be like that. But still, it’s not that I have a lot of regret and feel guilty.”

After he read how his own words came out in the interview, he must have realized that it was open to some misinterpretation. So Jonghyun took to his Twitter to clarify what he really meant by sharing, “Going to Smi (Seoul Music Institute) was the most important turning point in my life, and the best decision. There must have been a miscommunication of some sort. I feel disappointed about it all, but I don’t have any regrets.“

Jackie Chan to appear on ‘Running Man’ with Siwon

Jackie Chan will be appearing on ‘Running Man‘!

The superstar previously made an appearance on the show back in 2011. Back then, he appeared on the screen for just a brief moment, but this time he will be actually joining the ‘Running Man’ crew withSiwon to fulfill a mission.

He’s currently in Korea to promote ‘Chinese Zodiac‘ with co-star Kwon Sang Woo, and he’ll even be appearing on ‘Knee Drop Guru‘.

Jackie Chan began filming for ‘Running Man’ with Siwon on the 19th in Seoul. A ‘Running Man’ staff member stated, “He never lost his smile while he was filming. He promised to treat the members if they came to China.”

Siwon was grateful to be filming with such a legend as he took to his Twitter to write,

Soo Ae & TVXQ’s Yunho marriage photo for ‘Queen of Ambition’ revealed

TVXQ‘s Yunho will be getting married!

The leader of the well-loved idol band will be getting married to actress Soo Ae on their drama, ‘Queen of Ambition‘. He was originally scheduled to marry her on the 18th, but the schedule was foiled byKwon Sang Woo and Kim Sung Ryung, who announced their marriage to block Soo Ae and Yunho’s marriage.

However, ‘Queen of Ambition‘ recently released their wedding photo to the media, hinting to fans that the pair will be successful in their marriage.

Do you know the viral internet fad that is Harlem Shake?

SHINee‘s Key showed his appreciation for fans for supporting their official comeback with “Dream Girl“.

On February 19th, Key posted on SHINee’s official me2day, “Sending a little bit of warmth in the cold winter with a picture taken in Thailand.” He added, “Our comeback is coming soon, and I really thank everyone who went through the trouble to come to the showcase and the fans who showed a lot of support for the teasers. Let’s meet soon.”

SHINee will launch promotions for their 3rd album,’Dream Girl – The Misconceptions of You‘, with comeback stages this week, starting with Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘ on the 21st followed by performances on KBS‘ ‘Music Bank‘ on the 22nd, MBC‘s ‘Music Core‘ on the 23rd, and SBS‘ ‘Inkigayo‘ on the 24th.

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun reveals that he’s never been in a relationship

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun recently revealed that he has never been in a relationship.

Super Junior K.R.Y had an interview with ‘@star1’. During the interview, Kyuhyun revealed that it became much harder to have a girlfriend after becoming famous and honestly shared, “I have not dated before.”

When asked if he does not have any plan to go out with any other girl group members, Kyunhyun answered, “I don’t like the idea of dating another celebrity, so I don’t have any dating experience yet.”

Meanwhile, the March edition of @star1 featuring Super Junior K.R.Y’s interview will be released on February 21st.

SHINee reveals short MV for Japanese single “Fire”

SHINee has just unveiled a short music video for upcoming seventh Japanese single, “Fire”!

“Fire”, which as the name suggests, has a theme of “the determination of love that is burning like a flash of flames.” This single has gathered the greatest creators -- Junji Ishiwatari (lyrics), BACHLOGIC (track maker), SHIKATA (songwriter), ERIK LIDBOM (songwriter), D.O.I (mixer), Akihiro Shiba (mastering).

The coupling song, “MOON RIVER WALTZ”, is a song about how from the moment of falling in love, one’s spirit is uplifted as if being charmed. The Japanese single will be released in both limited and regular editions on March 13th.

On February 20, SISTAR19 released the BTS footage of the music video set, showing Bora and Hyorin flaunting their sexy dance moves and how they pulled off some of the highlight scenes of the video.

MBLAQ to continue LECAF Fansign Events

MBLAQ to have another LECAF Fansign Events on 22nd and 23rd.

MBLAQ had a fansigning event on the 16th in front of Busan Lotte Department Store - Gwangbok Branch Lecaf store. The group appeared happily showing their smiles to their fans during the event. The fans were able to shake hands and take photos with MBLAQ members. Though they were busy, they were active from the start of the event to the end.

After the successful fansigning event on the 16th, MBLAQ will have two more fansigning events on February 22nd at Seoul Hyundai Department Store - Mokdong Branch and on the 23rd at Lotte Department Store-Nowon Branch.

TVXQ Proves Popularity, Beating Girls’ Generation!

Korean idol group TVXQ proves popularity as they have the highest worldwide sales according to local Japanese press.

An article with the list of KPOP groups who have the highest worldwide sales has been revealed. TVXQ has turned out to be on the top beating Korea’s representative girl group Girls’ Generation for having more than twice the sales of Girls’ Generation and followed by other popular groups KARA, Big Bang, Super Junior, SHINee, 2PM, CN BLUE, JYJ and BEAST.

Those groups completed the top 10 list of highest worldwide sales, and prove their popularity not just in their own country but throughout the world.
