BoA in talks to star in new KBS drama, 'Hope For Dating'

Reports have surfaced that BoA will be making her small-screen debut as a lead actress for KBS's new pilot drama, 'Hope For Dating'!

She will be acting alongside Choi Daniel for her new role. The drama is a two-part experimental drama, and will wrap production sometime in August with a yet-to-be-determined broadcast date.

"BoA recently finished a script reading, where she invested in her character and engaged in discussion with the producers," claimed a broadcast representative.

However, SM Entertainment denied reports of a finalized casting, only saying that talks were still progressing. "Nothing has been set in stone, but hopes are high," they said. "It is true that there have been meetings with the production team."

Baek Ji Young greeted fans for the first time since her unfortunate miscarriage. 

Baek Ji Young sent out her first tweet in a month on the 15th, "#jibaek Yoo Sung Eun.. Please listen to Sung Eun's song from her new album^^", cheering on the 'Voice Korea' finalist and label mate as her former mentor. 

She also replied to a fan and tweeted, "Sorry for causing you to worry^^", assuring fans that she's doing better.

Baek Ji Young tied the knot with her Jung Suk Won on June 2nd and suffered a miscarriage soon afterwards on June 27th.

SHINee To Attend Mnet 20's Choice Awards 2013!

Idol group SHINee is confirmed to attend Mnet 20's Choice Awards 2013. The award ceremony will be held at Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) on July 18th.

Super Junior’s ‘Super Show 4’ 3D to hit Seoul theaters

Super Junior’s exclusive world tour ‘Super Show 4’ will be screened in Korean theaters in 3D-format in August.

On July 15, SM Entertainment announced that it will be premiering Super Junior’s ‘Super Show 4’ 3D in 30 theaters across South Korea. The film will cover the group’s first world tour as well as the encore concert in Seoul held in May of 2012 at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium.

The concert will hit the theaters in Korea beginning August 8.

2NE1 and SHINee to join ‘a-nation’ music festival

The annual ‘a-nation’ concert has confirmed that idol groups 2NE1 and SHINee would be included in this year’s lineup.

Representing K-Pop in Japan, the two groups will join TVXQ, Super Junior, BEAST, U-KISS and Big Bang’s Taeyang, who all have already been named performers at the prestigious music festival this year.

2NE1, who recently made a comeback with “Falling in Love”, will perform at the ‘a-nation stadium fes’ in Osaka’s Nagai Stadium on August 24. SHINee, on the other hand, will stand on stage of the Tokyo’s Ajinomoto Stadium on September 1.

Onew doesn't remember his ideal type's name?

All SHINee fans know that Onew's ideal type changes every time he's asked about it - and it's not just fans who noticed!

He had a press conference for his upcoming JTBC drama 'Royal Villa' at the Seoul Dongdaemun Megabox, and one of the media members asked, "Your ideal type always changes. Who's your latest ideal type?"

Onew laughed and said, "My ideal type always changes. If I see someone doing good at any given moment, I think that's a good person."

He was asked to pick a certain person, and Onew said, "My ideal type right now is a foreign person, but I don't remember her name right now", showcasing a case of his famous Onew-condition.

Kangta asked Victoria if she wanted to go on 'We Got Married' with him

Kangta once again chose f(x)'s Victoria as his ideal type.

On the July 15 installment of tvN's 'Taxi', Kangta revealed, "Honestly, I like women who have pretty eyes. If their eyes are pretty, their face is pretty, too. I can also allow plastic surgery up to a certain point. I like a woman who is a good wife and a mother, but also one who knows how to have fun. By looks, I like f(x)'s Victoria. Isn't she innocent even when viewers see her?"

He also revealed, "I've already said that Victoria is my ideal type in the company. Before, Victoria was on MBC's 'We Got Married' with Nichkhun, and I'd asked her how she'd feel is she was on the show with me instead."

He concluded, "I wish I can talk to her while eating good food. Victoria is really kind and she's a very good friend. I hope she dates a good guy, even if that's not me."

Will KARA renew their contract with DSP Media?

After a report surfaced today suggesting that the members of KARA are thinking about whether they want to leave or stay with DSP Media, the agency has responded to say it is still too early to talk contracts.

DSP Media stated, "It is still too early to negotiate on renewing contracts. Although the members have differences in the amount of time they have left, the fastest one to expire is still 6 months away, so it's not at a stage where anything is being decided on."

"The members could have discussed renewing their contracts among themselves, but there hasn't been any specific talk between the agency and the members about the contract yet."

The agency also mentioned that as of right now, the girls are only focused on their upcoming activities, one of which is their Japanese tour kicking off at Yokohama on October 8.
