KBS 2TV Invincible Youth’s PD, Kim Ho Sang, could not hide his surprise regarding ‘Invincible Youth’ plagiarism in China.
At 11th January, Invincible Youth’s producer, Kim Ho Sang, cleared to Newsen by phone, “Although the warning has been given regarding the program trailer, there’s no reaction. After broadcasting, we went to the production crew to confirm about that.”
He confessed, “Honestly, it’s suffocating when nobody gives a reaction towards the warning.”
Earlier, Kim Ho Sang PD tweeted “The first broadcast came up in China’s Shandong TV. Please notice that ‘Invincible Youth vs Birth of An Idol’ is really identical. Birth of An Idol broadcast content can be confirmed through the website link that was provided.
Actually, the published images of ‘Invincible Youth’, the concept, most of the laughter are similar. Along with Kim PD, KBS sent a letter to point out the violation of intellectual property. However, so far, Shandong TV gives no reply.
As Kim Ho Sang PD stressed, “It’s desirable to create solution through a formal step, only if the other side is willing to do a negotiation, such as about selling copyright in various forms. However, if the situation continues like this, we will not stay like this. “
Netizens showed some reactions such as, “It’s just like watching the sequel of the program”, “This is really too much”, “There is no conscience at all”.
In addition, in December last year, KBS has estimated that ‘Birth of An Idol’ trailer is very similar with ‘Invincible Youth’ and will take a legal action afterwards.
