MBLAQ will participate of LOVE-1 Event
On July 30th will be held at Chiba Port Park, the first japanese K-POP outdoor event"LOVE-1Festval." It will include the participation of 11 popular stars:
KARA, 4minute, Supernova, Kim Hyun Joong, D-NA, ZE:A, Rainbow, Sepreme Team, INFINITE, FT.ISLAND and MBLAQ.
In the event, as well as the artists live and freestyle motocross, the performace of "NANTA" which is gaining popularity in Asia's music scene will also be held.
The event aims to, firstly, give people knowledge about Asian cultures, Korean and that everyone enjoys the event.
Tickets go on general sale on July 17. In addition, the event's official website will be accepting reservations until seven days before.

Victoria from f(x), who has made a great hit for both ‘Pinocchio’ and ‘Hot Summer,’ has been selected as the model for cosmetic brand, ‘IPKN NEWYORK (IPKN)’ and proved the popularity in the advertising world as well.
Victoria will be the model for ‘IPKN’ for 1 year from now and she finished her first official schedule as the model by having a photo shoot and filming on the 20th.
‘IPKN’ said, “We selected Victoria because her lively and pure character and elegant and luxurious images, which were shown through many pictorials, match very well with the brand concept. Also, we expect Victoria, who has globally gained her popularity, to play an important role in expansion of brand recognition and vitalization of overseas business so we chose her as the model.”
Victoria has perfectly expressed various concepts such as simple and modernized woman’s image, which is the main concept of 'IPKN,' and the mysterious charisma at the 'IPKN’s photo shoot studio that was held on June 20th. Despite the tight schedule of 10-hour long shoot, Victoria made a great and positive atmosphere by smiling throughout the shooting so the staffs were even surprised at her cheerful personality after the photo shoot.

Krystal looks more like Yoona as she grows up
Yoona of SNSD and Krystal of f(x) became the doppelganger stars.
‘Doppelganger’ is used to describe the sensation of having seen a reflection of oneself, but on the Internet, it is used to describe celebrities who look alike.
They are called doppelgangers due to their slim bodies, and similar appearance. Back in January, when Yoona look-alike Japanese model Mona created a stir, some people asserted, “Krystal looks more like Yoona than Mona”
Many people said that Krystal looked more like Yoona than her biological sister Jessica of SNSD since her debut. Moreover, they also say that Krystal, who is four years younger than Yoona, seems to be resembling Yoona more as she grows up.

Actually, Krystal had been cast in a musical drama in place of Yoona. Appearing in musical drama Melody June of last year, Krystal publicly apologized to Yoona because she was most likely to be cast for the musical drama.
But Krystal was cast because Yoona couldn’t take the role. When Krystal found this out during the shooting, she publicly apologized to Yoona because Krystal not only got the role Yoona was supposed to play, but also received much love from her fans.
T-ara debuts to Japan "The differences between SNSD, Kara and us are..."
T-ara held a press conference on the 5th at Tokyo Sibuya AX Hall before the showcase. When asked whether they have any pressure because of SNSD, and Kara actively performing in Japan, Soyeon answered, “I learned a lot from them. I received a lot of help since we are so close.”
She continued, “We are planning to study Japanese very hard, and work in all genres.”
Hyomin said, “We are debuting with ‘Bo beep Bo beep’, and our group’s strengths are the unique melodies and each member’s distinct expressions and charms.” “We’ll make the most of what we have, and attract more attention to K-pop, and we are trying to do just that.” showing her confidence.
When asked about Korean girl groups’ debuts to Japan, Soyeon answered, “I don’t think we are preparing anything particular just for Japan. We plan to perform as we did in Korea.” “SNSD, Kara, and 4-minute each have unique features, likewise, we will be focusing on our own unique quality.”
70,000 fans applied to see T-ara’s showcase, recording a competition of 46 to 1.
In the showcase, T-ara will be performing their new song Roly-Poly, and various hit songs:Why are you being like this?, I go crazy because of you, Yayaya, and Bo peep Bo peep.
T-ara ranked the top charts in various music sites in one day, as soon as they released their new song Roly-Poly.
2NE1, 2PM, T-ara, IU, & more perform at Changwon’s “1st Anniversary Hope Concert”
On June 30th, many of Korea’s rising stars gathered at the Changwon Sports Complex for a concert called “Changwon’s First Anniversary Hope Concert, We Are“.
The concert itself celebrates the union of the cities of Masan, Jinhae, and Changwon into one collective city. They came to be known as Unified Changwon City as of July 1st, 2010, and this year marks its first anniversary.
Performances from the rain-soaked concert were finally broadcast on July 5th, and attending artists included 2NE1, 2PM, Boyfriend, T-ara, SECRET, INFINITE, IU, Rainbow, After School, A Pink, Park Hyun Bin, Baek Ji Young, Hong Jin Young, LPG, and more!

T-ara targets #1 on Japan’s Oricon chart
On July 5th, the ladies of T-ara held their debut Japanese showcase at the AX HALL in Shibuya and shared their thoughts on their advancement into the Japanese market at their press conference.
T-ara began, “We will debut with ‘Bo Peep Bo Peep‘ in Japan, so we hope that there will come a day where our Japanese fans follow along to the song. We honestly can’t feel that we’re actually making this debut. Last night, we were all busy memorizing Japanese words.”
They continued, “SNSD and other girl groups have all made their advancements, we’ve heard many stories and even studied their performances. We hope to promote not only as singers, but also as drama, movie, and variety stars as well. Our girl groups show a professional side musically with both singing and dancing, but in comparison, Japanese girl groups promote in a variety of different areas outside of singing as well. It’s similar to what we hope to achieve so we’ll learn a lot from them in our promotions.”
The girls chose SMAP as a Japanese group they respected.
They reasoned, “They’re still a strong team that’s the best in every area. We want to be the same in that we show off our charms but still maintain our colors.”
The girls also revealed that ranking first on Japan’s Oricon chart was their target.
Soyeon revealed, “They always say to have big dreams, so we’re hoping to place #1 on the Oricon chart. Jang Geun Suk-ssi isn’t even a singer and managed to achieve the feat, which is amazing. Since we’re singers, we want to rank in as well.”
When asked to name a characteristic that differentiates T-ara from the competition amongst several other major Japanese comebacks and Korean idol group advancements, Eunjung replied, “Japanese groups promote on variety programs, dramas, and other areas while Korean girl groups put priority in singing and dancing. T-ara can do both simultaneously.”
Soyeon added, “I don’t think Korean groups adjust themselves to Japanese culture when they make their advancements. Like in Korea, we hope to maintain that public-friendly concept in Japan as well.”
Jiyeon concluded, “We want to show a variety of sides in Japan, and to make that happen, we realize that studying the Japanese language is the utmost priority. We’ll be working hard on that.”
