SM Entertainment is broadening their scale as one of the dominating company to spread pop culture to date. SM Entertainment's subsidiary, SM Entertainment Culture & Content (SM C&C), is going to start its own full-scale musical production by buying the rights toproduce the musical 'Singin' in the Rain'.
The musical is scheduled to be presented starting on June 5 to August 3 in Grand Theatre at Chungmu Art Hall in Seoul. SM revealed, "We are reviewing the appearances of Super Junior's Kyuhyun and SHINee's Onew as the leading cast. Kyuhyun has already appeared in musicals such as 'The Moon That Embraces the Sun' and 'Catch Me If You Can'. Also, Onew who has experience in musical 'Rock of Ages."
SM is planning to put up more musicals in the future having idols like Super Junior, SHINEe, TVXQ, SNSD, and popular idols as lead to expand their career as celebrities.
