kdramacrazy’s Thoughts:
[ Note : This post reflects the opinions of the author, not necessarily those of allkpop ]
What fills the melodramatic storyline with potential for unique is the layered characterization. With a secretive and haunting main characters, the journey of just traveling their transformations their present personalities will be an engaging ride. The directing enhances that with the sparse placed flashbacks: to keep us with but still shrouding hte secrets. Eun Gi, who loved for her feisty personality, has a history with her sacrifice for . Her with Ma Roo become fascinating and complicated, not only because they sacrificed their first but because of the contrast in situation. Ma Roo lost all his dreams and is losing because of his sacrifice, while Eun Gi have it all with her chaebol status. With Eun Gi's painful not only but also with her mother, the amnesia will play an interesting role in Eun Gi's character because the writer did a dynamic character like Eun Gi trash all the details with amnesia. And then how will this amnesia play with the relationship Jae Hee and Eun Gi? Because they absolutely detest right and we all know Eun Gi would work with Ma Roo Jae Hee .
And for Ma Roo's revenge, we to think that the catalyst was failing , I hope more to that. Something hidden in Ma Roo, his five years in prison. If Ma Roo's for his revenge is or his difficult situation or even Jae Hee is ignoring him, then it contradicts everything the drama has built up to . Ma Roo's willingness to send Jae Hee , his to the blame, and during the prison time. All the dropped, it means that Ma Roo's revenge is propelled by his first Jae Hee. And that what's this drama different from the melodramas that base revenge on reason, from '' murder' to 'cheating '. In addition, basing revenge on “” is a has-been plot, but the reason for the revenge understandable for the viewers, making the revenge engaging. Like , I annoyed and didn't understand/like Ma Roo for abandoning to Jae Hee (he even Jae Gil earlier on leaving). Yes, we know for Ma Roo is all consuming and is blind, but we've seen that times . So here's to that the writers don't love to create Ma Roo's revenge.
And here, smile when you can before we start our emotional roller coaster.
