Girl group KARA’s status as the Hallyu representative in Japan has been proven once more.
Japan’s famous entertainment magazine ‘Nikkei Entertainment’ released the results of its annual survey ranking the power of celebrities from the first half of 2012. Only teenagers were allowed to participate in the survey and KARA came in at sixth place.
It has been reported that KARA’s popularity beat that of Japan’s famous female idol group, AKB48. Most notably, KARA also stood as the lone Hallyu star in the survey’s top ten ranking.
Meanwhile, KARA finished their signature perfume line promotion in Singapore on the 10th, the members will be focusing on individual careers for a while.
