T-ara refuses 2 Billion Won offer from Japanese publisher

Girl group T-ara recently revealed that they have refused to take the offer from a famous Japanese publishing company.

On April 10th, T-ara held a surprise press conference at Incheon International Airport ahead of their trip to Europe and revealed more details regarding the offer.

T-ara was offered a maximum amount of money of 150 million Yen (2 billion Won) to release a photobook, a calendar as well as a two hour DVD from a Japanese publisher. The group replied, “We were surprised at the large amount of money. We are very thankful for their attention.”

“However, we decided to give up taking the offer because we want to show a natural and comfortable side of us rather than taking a pictorial to make profit. We are going on a trip to show beautiful views and happy smiles to our fans. We will participate editing and producing the pictorial.”

For eight nights and nine days, T-ara will travel through Milan, Venice, Austria and Switzerland. Along with director Cha Eun Taek, fashion photographer Jo Se Hyun, and 20 other staff members, they will film a documentary of the girls’ trip, as well as the music video and photoshoot for the new girl group.
