[Cheil Communications, to hold seminar on international marketing in Cannes Festival... 2NE1 to participate as co-speakers]
Cheil Communications along with group 2NE1 would be talking about the Korean wave during the Cannes International Advertising Festival.
Cheil Communications will be holding a seminar at the Cannes Inernational Advertising Festival for its fifth consecutive year.
This year, they will be having the topic “Korean Wave Through Digital Wave,” talking about the digital advertising global content strategy of K-Pop. Cheil Communications vice-president, and also South-East Asia regional president,Seong Jong Kim, was announced to be the speaker during the said event.
Particularly, during this seminar, 2NE1 will be the co-speakers. They along with Cheil Communications talking about global advertising and the reasons why K-POP has been gaining international attention.
2NE1, with their unique and distinctive music and fashion, are one of the leaders of the Hallyu Wave, also, their agency, YG Entertainment, are one of the agencies that are actively marketing the Hallyu wave through digital means, this was the high point of being the reason why they were chosen as one of the seminar’s speakers.
Terry Savage, the current chairman of this year’s festival, and one of the officers in the Cannes International Advertising Festival, said that “Every year, many people take an interest in Cheil Communications’ seminar, which focuses mainly on digital advertising, she continued, “This year, they will be talking about the recent boom in interest about the digital Hallyu content marketing.“
