KARA extends contract with Universal Music Japan


As one of Hallyu representatives in Japan, KARA solidified their status by extending their Japanese contract withUniversal Music.

According to DSP Media on March 27, KARA’s initial contract with Universal Music Japan was signed in August of 2010 and is set to expire this August. The group renewed their contract with the firm and will stay with them till December 2013.

KARA first signed with the label back in August 2010 and was able to release their debut single "Mister" right after. They have since followed it up with several successful hits including "Jumping", "Jet Coaster Love", "Winter Magic", "Girl's Talk" and recently "SPEED UP/Girls Power".

Meanwhile, KARA has added two additional concert dates for the Japanese leg of KARASIA after selling out all tickets in just a matter of minutes. The girls are set to cover a total of 12 performances in 6 cities starting April 14 in Yokohama.
