Super Junior member Kyuhyun’s 2.54-ton rice donation to his hometown Nowon District has been made known, becoming a hot topic.
On the morning of the February 7th, Kyuhyun had delivered the rice baskets to the Nowon District Office through his father Mr. Cho Younghwan. These rice baskets were gifts from fans hailing from more than 10 countries as part of their support for the Seongnam performance of his “The Three Musketeers” musical last year.
Later on, the Nowon District Office (led by Mayor Kim Sunghwan) officials distributed the rice donated by Kyuhyun to more than 200 underprivileged senior citizens and the needy over the span of two days, who received about 10kg of rice each.
In addition to this, Kyuhyun has donated a total of 6.5 ton of rice to date (2.09 ton from the Chungmu Art Hall performance, 1.87 ton from the Sejong Centre for Performing Arts performance, and 2.54 ton from the Seongnam performance).
