Super Junior awarded by 7th Taiwan KKBOX Digital Music Awards as "Korean Singer of the Year"

Korea’s best boyband , Super Junior continues to be great in the Asia’s Music Industry. Not only did Super Junior came to Taiwan to perform 3 times in the year, their sub-group, Super Junior M who targets the Chinese market, also had a long stay in Taiwan to understand about the country.

 In their fifth album, Mr Simple (inclusive of all the 3 editions), there were 17 songs that were in the Top 20 of the Korean Single Chart. The song, “There’s no one else like you (aka No Other)” was in the Top 20 for 229 days consecutively. 

Their title song, Mr Simple, created a great result for being the champion on Korean Single Chart for 123 days. Although it was competitive among the boybands, Super Junior was able to be the “Korean Singer of the Year.”

(Calculations : The singer’s Korean song had to be played the most number of times in both Taiwan & Hong Kong during 2011, in order to win the award.)
