KARA, Big Bang & U-KISS dominate Oricon's weekly chart

Kpop groups KARABig Bang and U-KISS have made it into the top five of Japan's Oricon weekly music chart during the third week of December.

On December 22nd, Oricon released their latest rankings which were dominated by Korean artists. KARA reclaimed the first spot this week with their second full-length Japanese album "Super Girl" after selling a total of 44,260 copies since its release on November 23rd.

The five-member group Big Bang followed behind the girls with their special album "The Best of Big Bang" which sold 30,443 editions. Despite the group's lack of promotions, having placed at the second spot only proves Big Bang rising popularity in the country.

U-KISS, who recently made their Japanese debut, took the fifth spot on Oricon's Singles chart with their debut single "Tick Tack" with a total of 27,511 copies sold.

Meanwhile, KARA, who is currently sweeping popularity in Japan, will be taking part in NHK's 62nd music special "Red & White Song Battle" along with Girls' Generation and TVXQ on December 31st. While U-KISS is busy promoting their latest release and will take off for their nationwide tour in Japan in March.
