Kara's "Super Girl" ranks #1 on Oricon chart


Girl group Kara snagged another feat with their latest released second full-length Japanese album.

On November 23rd, "Super Girl" debuted on top of Oricon's Daily Music Chart, selling a total of 73,094 copies on its first day. Last week, Kara released the album on digital form and dominated Japan's iTunes store in terms of downloads.

Kara's debut single "Girl's Talk" claimed Gold Disk award with sales over 10,000 copies during the first week of release. Fans continue to snap it up for almost a year making the album surpassed the 500,000 mark in records sold.

Also, the girls recently claimed gold record accreditation on their latest single "Winter Magic", and has beennominated for the most coveted Excellence Award at the 53rd Japan Record Awards on December 30th.

There's no stopping for Kara's success in Japan. Congratulations ladies!
