T-ara tops the Oricon charts on their first day with debut single

T-ara's topped the Japanese Orcion charts with their debut single on their first day of release.

T-ara's debut Japanese album, "Bo Peep Bo Peep" ranked #1 when it recorded 20,068 sales on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart.

Girls groups like KARA, SNSD, etc have all normally showed relative success with their debut releases on the first day, but this is the first time it's been so high on a debut on the Oricon Daily Charts.

T-ara entered the Japanese market with a exclusive contract with the agency J-ROCK for 350 million yen (approximately 4.5 million USD). They also signed with the Japanese record label EMI and are having their promotions and marketing done by Johnny's Smile Company.

Meanwhile, T-ara plan to release a new mini album on October 27th called "Black Eyes".
