The artists of Cube Entertainment held a family concert on August 25th at the Nippon Budokan. Prior to the start of their ‘United Cube in Japan‘ concert, the artists met the Japanese media.
B2ST leader Doojoon commented, “We heard that it’s very difficult to be able to hold a concert at the Nippon Budokan. We are very thankful to be able to hold a concert at such a venue“.
Meanwhile 4minute’s leader Jihyun commented, “I’m so happy to be able to have a concert abroad with the CUBE family“.
The concert series was first held in Korea on August 14th, bringing in a total of 8,500 fans. The Japan concert was the second leg in the series and brought in a total of 9,500 fans. Each group made a comment about the event during the pre-concert press conference: “We are going to do our best to deliver a spectacular show today” (B2ST); “Please look forward to our fun comments in between songs” (4minute); “I’m a bit nervous but please look forward to our show” (G.NA).
On top of that, B2ST’s Dongwoon remarked, “Today I’m sporting the Changmin hairstyle becauseTohoshinki is very popular in Japan“.
The concert kicked off with 4minute’s popular single, “Muzik“, followed by their hit song “Mirror Mirror“. The girls impressed fans with their powerful and sexy dance moves.
Following up, G.NA came out and showcased her cute charms and glamorous appeal by performing a total of six songs. She then treated everyone to something special by singing her new song “Top Girl” for the first time in front of an audience.
Although 4minute and G.NA rocked it out, the undeniable highlight of the concert was with B2ST. They performed their debut single “SHOCK” as well as “FICTION“, which was used as the main theme song for Watanabe Ken’s new movie ‘Shanghai‘.
Fans were also treated to special collaboration stages between the Cube Entertainment artists. The 2.5 hour concert ended with all the artists singing “Fly So High” together.
The third stop for “UNITED CUBE” is scheduled to be in London on November 19th. Cube Entertainment definitely has its eyes set on the global market.
