Popular girl group Kara’s leader Park Gyuri will be doing her first musical this fall. Kara’s agency, DSP Media, announced that Park Gyuri was casted as Kang Han Byul who is the main character for “200 Pounds of Beauty”.
The musical “200 Pounds of Beauty” will start in Osaka, Japan in October and from then will be performing shows around Asia, including Seoul. During the tour for Japan and South Korea, Park Gyuri will display both her singing and acting skills.
The musical is based on the hit movie, “200 Pounds of Beauty” (2008) which was very popular and selling an average of 1500 tickets per day. In 2008, the musical received an award as “Best Created Musical” also totaling to three other nominations.
