[News] Winners at the 17th Republic of Korea Entertainment Arts Awards Ceremony


The 17th “Korean Entertainment Arts Awards” ceremony was held on October 23rd at the Sungnam Art Center opera house with a total of 70 awards recipients in 21 different categories.

Awards consisted of Bae Il Jib for the special achievement award, No Sa Yeon, Shin Hyo Bum, Yoo Yang Su for the advancement of entertainment arts achievement awards, Park Seung Ho, Moon Dong Shin, Jo Byung Don, Nam Il Hae, Sung Nam Shi for the special advancement of entertainment arts achievement awards, Yeon Kyu Jin for the model celebrity award, Young Gun and f(x) for the rookie singer awards, MBLAQ and SISTAR for the group singers awards, and Wheesung and Gavy NJ for the R&B singers awards.

IU was awarded the new generation singer award, alongside Shin Yu and Hong Jin Young for the adult rookie singer award, Park Sang Chul and Choi Yuna for the adult singer award, Lee Bongwon andJo Hye Ryun for the comedian awards, and Kim Byung Man for the special comedian award.

KBS 2TV’s “Happy Sunday” and “The Rights of Men” were awarded the best variety program award.

The radio hosting award went to Kim Heung Guk and Park Kyung Lim, Kim Yong Hwan for the band award, Kim Jong Shik for the performance award, Park Jin Hee for the dancer award, Yoo Jung Sookfor the choreographer award, Hong Jin Young for the composer award, and Kim Hyo Geun for the arrangement award.
