Old photos of Krystal revealed


Several old photos of f(x)’s Krystal were recently revealed and once again making headlines online.

An online community posted photos compilation with the caption, “Old pictures of Krystal which were taken from 1994 to 2009.” The post contained photos of Krystal from her toddler stage to when she became a little girl.

Krystal, who is being praised for her beautiful features, once again drew a lot of attention as she proved that she is truly a natural beauty. 

Netizens who saw the photos commented, “Krystal was a cute little girl”, “She was born with beautiful appearance” and “She is always beautiful.”

Hyomin enjoys a game of basketball

T-ara‘s Hyomin shared new photos of herself playing a game of basketball.
On May 13th, the singer posted the photos below on her Twitter page and wrote, “Already Summer. Playing with a basketball.
In the photo, a casually dressed Hyomin looked as if she was enjoying the sport in her own way, but it was mostly her long legs that caught the attention of fans.
They commented, “Hyomin is so pretty,” along with “Anything she does becomes a photo shoot,” and “I wish I had her legs!”

Number of international applicants for T-ara’s fanclub inauguration ceremony top 70,000

As popular group T-ara prepares to launch their official fanclub, it seems that anticipation is running high not just among their Korean fans, but amongst their international fans as well.
In April, T-ara announced on their official fan site that they would hold an inauguration ceremony to celebrate the establishment of their fanclub, QUEEN’S. The announcement was met with heated interest as fans around their world flooded the site with requests to participate in the ceremony. Currently, the number of international fans who have applied to take part in the ceremony have topped 70,000.
In response to the explosive interest in the event, the T-ara members released a statement saying, “To thank the explosive response from our fans, we have personally created the official banner for the inauguration ceremony. In order to put on the best performance at the inauguration, we are taking time to practice even in the midst of our busy schedules.
The inauguration ceremony for QUEEN’S is set to be held on July 14 in Seoul. It has been revealed that only 3,500 fans will be invited to the event, resulting in the highly competitive rush for spots.
In related news, T-ara is currently preparing for a Japanese concert scheduled for June, as well as a new album tentatively scheduled for a summer release.

Super Junior packs out Tokyo Dome


Hallyu group Super Junior again proved its force by performing to a packed-out house at Tokyo Dome in Japan over two days on May 12 through to 13.

“Super Show 4” brought more than 110,000 fans inside despite the fact that the band had never officially debuted there. This is the second time, since the band’s performance at Kyocera Dome in Osaka last December, that the band has performed a sell-out tour in Japan.

There was some fierce competition among Japanese fans to secure the tickets. More than 400,000 battled it out for the tickets as soon as they went on sale. Originally, the band was to perform just on the 12th, but to meet surging demands, they had to hold one more show.

The next stop on the band’s tour is Seoul. The boy band will perform two shows from May 26 to 27 at Olympic Park in eastern Seoul.

KBS Joy's audition program with Hyomin & S.E.S Bada to open this month



Despite seeing a slight hiccup along the way over visa issues for international contestants, the brand new audition program brought to you by KBS Joy will finally be hitting the airwaves on May 17th.

The 2012 Global Super Idol competition is a project that invites contestants from Korea, China and Thailand, all hoping to be the next global idol superstars.

The judges have been revealed and they are none other S.E.S’s Bada (age 32), Cool’s Lee Jae Hoon (age 38), and Solid’s Kim Jo Han (age 39). 

The emcees will be KBS announcer Han Seok Joon (age 37) and T-ara’s Hyomin (age 23), albeit Hyomin joins as the emcee after the pre-recorded segment of the show and when the live segment starts.

The winner of the 2012 Global Super Idol competition will win 300 million won. This is a big drop from the originally announced 1 billion won, due to a cut in sponsorships.

The show will be broadcast through five different channels: KBS Joy, KBS Drama, KBS Prime, KBS Kids, and KBS World.

Teaser for 2PM's "Beautiful" airs on Japanese TV


Idol group 2PM will follow up their successful singing career in Japan and will release their fourth Japanese single “Beautiful”. The single, to released on June 6th, will consist of two new tracks and two corresponding instrumentals.

Ahead of its official release, 2PM unveiled a short sneak peak of their upcoming music video for “Beautiful” through Japanese channel Mezamashi TV. The video features highlight clips from the music video itself, as well as behind-the-scene footage and interview of the members.
