T-ara dominates MelOn’s monthly chart

In addition to dominating daily and weekly charts, T-ara has also proved their ever increasing popularity on MelOn‘s monthly chart for January.

T-ara not only placed first with “Lovey Dovey” on the chart, but also had two other songs rank in the top, bringing up the total to three songs in the top 10 for the month of January. “We Were In Love,” which they sang with Davichi, came in at fifth and “Cry Cry” came in at eighth.

Second place went to HyunA and Hyunseung‘s “Trouble Maker“, followed by IU‘s “You and I“,Dynamic Duo‘s “Stand There, There (Without You)“, 10cm‘s “Sorrow“, Jung Jun Ha‘s “Story of a Tall Bachelor“, Huh Gak and LE‘s “Whenever You Play That Song“, and Zia‘s “Because I’m Upset“, wich took third, fourth, sixth, seventh, ninth, and tenth places, respectively.

Trailing close behind were Noel‘s “I Miss You” and “In Order to Live” at #11 and 12, while Wonder Girls‘ “Be My Baby” came in at #13 on the chart.

Eunjung’s ‘We Got Married’ husband Lee Jang Woo frustrated over her injury

Eunjung‘s on-air husband Lee Jang Woo expressed his frustration over his “wife” injuring herself again.

The girls recently partook in a volunteer event on February 1st, and because Eunjung recently injured her knee, she was unable to assist with delivering the goods, but she did participate in preparing the meals afterwards.

Eunjung remarked, “This was something that we have been planning for quite some time now, and it’s really unfortunate that I had to injure my leg now. I will do my best and see where I can offer my help to volunteer.”

T-ara wrapped up a dance rehearsal of “Lovey-Dovey” on the 24th, and on the way home, Eunjung slipped and ruptured her knee cap. When asked how the other members reacted to her injury, she remarked, “We apologized to one another. I felt so bad that I could not perform with them, and they know this so they felt bad for me, which makes me want to apologize again.”

Due to her injury, the MBC ‘We Got Married‘ staff members announced on their official website that the segments featuring couple Eunjung & Jangwoo will be postponed for the time being. “I talked to my husband Jangwoo, and he got so frustrated that I hurt myself again,” Eunjung added. “ I told him I was sorry that our ‘We Got Married’ shoot got canceled, and he told me not to be and told me to get better soon.”

In related news, the girls donated the $2,670 bonus they received from winning a ‘triple-crown’ onInkigayo to the elderly, plus an additional $6,230 that was donated by their company. They also donated 250 sets of lotion and hand creme from ‘Tony Moly‘ who they are currently modeling for, plus 260 pairs of long johns, 250 boxes of chicken, as well as 250 bags of rice.

Hopefully, Eunjung has a quick recovery.

Hyomin tells TEEN TOP’s Niel, “You’re kind of cute”

Girl group T-ara member Hyomin is drawing attention after showing some interest in TEEN TOPmember Niel.

On a recent episode recording of MBC Everyone‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘, Hyomin selected TEEN TOP’s Niel as the male idol that has recently caught her attention.

When asked which male idol she would like a buy a meal for, she responded, “I think TEEN TOP is doing really well these days.”

She sent a video message to Niel on the spot saying, “I am enjoying your stage performances. Your hairstyle is similar to Eunjung‘s so I feel more drawn to you.”

She also added, “You’re kind of cute,” at the end, which surprised the other guests on set.

Fellow T-ara member Hwa Young selected Leessang‘s Gil as her ideal type saying, “Gil oppa~ buy me coffee~“, asking him to take her on a date.

Would be a cute couple if Niel was a bit older.

T-ara members keep their promise & volunteer to spend their time with senior citizens

T-ara recently opened up about their volunteer experience on February 1st.

With the help of charity organization ‘Living Together With Others‘, the T-ara members volunteered to spend some time with the elderly that live alone. The girls along with Coed School‘s Hyo Youngworked hard to deliver necessities and other goods to the elderly.

After their day was over, T-ara remarked, “We worked as hard as we could in the short time we were here, but I don’t know if we were able to give as much as we wanted to.”

“I think we received a lot more here today than we gave,” they continued. “The elderly held our hands to keep us warm because they knew that we were cold and we could really feel their love and affection. I think this made us happier than winning a K-Chart win.”

The T-ara members announced that they would spend some time volunteering if they came out on top on SBS ‘Inkigayo‘ with “Lovey-Dovey” for three weeks straight, and fans were glad to see that the girls kept their promise.

The members who learned the joy of giving remarked, “We know that a lot of celebrities are spreading their love by different means, and if there are any stars who are still unsure about doing charity work, we urge you to join us. Even though we are only here for a short while, I think it would be great if a lot more people helped out.”

T-ara keeps their ‘Triple Crown’ promise by volunteering for a worthy cause

A few days back, T-ara had promised to volunteer for a worthy cause with their ‘Triple Crown’. The girls continued to make a strong impression as positive role models by coming out to fulfill their promise.

When T-ara initially announced their intention to volunteer after winning a triple consecutive music program win, they received some backlash. Core Contents Media later explained that the girls wanted to wait so they could use the bonus from their ‘Triple Crown’ win for a worthy cause.

The members received 7 million Won (~$6,214.81 USD) as a bonus, and along with the 3 million Won (~$2,663.71) they collected amongst themselves, the group purchased rice, ramyun, and other items to distribute to people in need.

The girls also worked with the ‘People Living Together‘ organization in Seoul, with whom they helped deliver boxes of ramyun and serve soup.
