SHINee’s Minho, Noh Hong Chul and Kim So Hyun chosen new hosts of ‘Music Core’



SHINee’s Minho, entertainer Noh Hong Chul and young actress Kim So Hyun have been chosen as the new hosts for MBC’s weekly music program, ‘Show! Music Core’.

A representative from MBC announced on April 11, “SHINee’s Minho, Kim So Hyun and No Hong Chul have been recruited as new hosts of ‘Music Core’. The three will begin hosting on the April 20th episode of the show.”

The new trio will fill in the empty spots of Girls’ Generation’s TaeyeonTiffany and Seohyun, who will be leaving their MC posts on April 13th due to their busy schedules. On their last day as MCs, TaeTiSeo will perform “Good-bye, Hello” from the unit’s “Twinkle” album.

BoA confirms more concerts in Korea and Taiwan



Solo singer BoA will be taking her solo concert tour to other cities in Korea and other countries.

According to SM Entertainment, BoA’s exclusive concert ‘BoA Special Live 2013~ Here I Am’, which first kicked off in Seoul earlier this year, will continue in Taiwan’s National Taiwan University Sports Center on May 18th.

The veteran singer will then be returning to Korea to continue her tour in Daegu on May 25 and Busan on June 1. The concerts follow BoA’s successful first exclusive concert in Seoul which gathered 6,000 fans.

The ticket sales for her Daegu concert will open on April 18th and for the Busan concert on the 25th at 8PM (KST) through G Market.

TVXQ’s ‘TIME’ tops the Oricon Monthly Album Chart



The duo of TVXQ is enjoying huge success in Japan’s Oricon chart with Japanese album, ‘TIME’.

According to the Oricon monthly chart rankings for the month of March 2013, TVXQ’s sixth studio album ‘TIME’ succeeded in topping the Monthly Album Chart by selling 277,426 copies of the album. 

The album managed to sell 160,719 copies in its first day, setting a new record for the boys. It also smashed TVXQ’s personal record for the biggest first week sales, with a total of 244,000 copies sold.

T-ara announces unit name with Hyomin’s teaser poster



T-ara is set to make a comeback with a new unit group and after unveiling Jiyeon’s teaser, they now followed it up with Hyomin’s teaser poster.

On April 12, Core Contents Media revealed Hyomin’s teaser image in sexy pink outfits. The poster also announced the unit name ‘T-ara N4’, which is a shortened form of ‘T-ara Brand New 4’.

T-ara’s first unit group, consists of members Jiyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Areum, will have their debut on May 1 with title song “Countryside Diaries”. The song is based on MBC’s long-running drama of the same name and is produced by Duble Sidekick.

Super Junior’s Yesung to enlist on May 6th



Super Junior’s Yesung has been confirmed to enlist in the army on May 6th.

Yesung informed fans that he’ll soon be leaving for the army during Super Junior’s recent ‘Super Show 5’ concert in Seoul where he shared, “I have spent five years as a trainee and eight years as a member of the group, and I deeply thank all the fans for their love. I forgot how special it is to stand on stage and sing. Now I know how important it is. Please love on the Super Junior members during the time I’m away. Please don’t forget me as well.”

SM Entertainment announced that Yesung will be enlisting next month on the 6th. He will enter through the army division located in Jeonju and receive basic training for four weeks before serving as a public service worker for 23 months.

The agency added that he’ll still be carrying out many of his schedules until the date, but unfortunately, he will not be able to perform in the South American ‘Super Show 5’ concerts which will kick off in Brazil on April 21.

In the photo, Yoo Seung Ho has his arm around Sulli’s shoulders, and they are both wearing bright smiles on their faces. Netizens can’t get enough of the photo and many are commenting how much they haven’t changed since their childhood days.

An online community board recently uploaded a photo with the title, ‘Han Ji Woo, Jiyeon, Shin So Yul, The Three Musketeers of high school girls‘.
Despite their age differences, all three of them could pass as high school friends with their youthful look.
Netizens, who saw the three lovely ladies in uniform, commented, “They look like best friends in high school,” “Uniforms really are the best,” and “They are uniform maniacs.
Actress Han Ji Woo was recently chosen as an endorsement model alongside Rain for a famous Chinese cosmetic brand, and Jiyeon is preparing for a comeback with T-ara’s upcoming subunit.
