Sulli & Minho talk about their kiss scene in ‘To The Beautiful You’

SHINee‘s Minho and f(x)‘s Sulli who have both transformed into ‘acting idols’ spoke out about their kiss scenes in their new SBS drama, ‘To The Beautiful You‘.

At the press conference for the drama held on August 13th, Sulli remarked, “There is a kiss scene with Minho in the script. Surprisingly, it was fine, even though we had to film it about 15 times.”

“I didn’t dislike the kiss scene,” she added with a bashful smile. “I was a little nervous before the shoot and I told him, ‘Oppa I didn’t know we had a kiss scene together,’ but I wasn’t that nervous. It was a little awkward, however, since we’ve known each other for so long.”

Minho on the other hand remarked, “I’ve known Sulli since she was in elementary school, and I was really nervous as we approached the kiss scene. We weren’t extremely close to begin with, but we became a bit closer since the drama began. But no matter how close we’ve grown, I was still very worried about the kiss.”

He added, “The kiss scene is a situation where I plant it on her, and so I decided to build up some confidence and go for it. We filmed that scene 15 times, and Sulli said she was fine after about the 10th, but I continued to be extremely nervous.”

Meanwhile, ‘To The Beautiful You’ is a high school romance based on a famous Japanese animé from 1996. The first episode airs April 15th at 9:55PM KST.

Super Junior's new album sells over 330,000 copies

Hallyu group Super Junior’s latest sixth album “Sexy, Free & Single” has sold over 300,000 copies, ranking 1st on the July music sales chart. According to Gaon Chart on August 13th, the album which was released on July 4th, sold 335,744 copies during the entire month. The number of copies sold was higher than any other artist for July.

The album rose to 1st place on the chart in the 2nd week of July and has kept the number one spot for three consecutive weeks. In second place was BEAST’s mini-album “Midnight Sun” which sold 67,835 copies.

2PM’s Jang Wooyoung also released his first solo album, ”23, Male, Single” which sold 52,618 copies placing him in third place while T-ara’s ”Day by Day” was in fourth with 34,181 albums sold.

Psy’s 6th album which includes the YouTube hit “Gangnam Style” was in fifth place selling 32,309 copies, and BoA, who made a comeback after two years, ranked 6th with her 7th album ”Only One” selling 28,576 copies. The newcomers, NU’EST, gained attention with their single Action selling 15,564 copies and ranking 8th.

Hyomin cried at "One Thousandth Man" press conference!

On the 14th at the MBC Dream Center, the "One Thousandth Man" press conference began. It was attended by the main actors of the drama including Kang Yewon, Lee Chunhee and Hyomin as well as the PDs.

In the press conference before it started, the crew asked the reporters, "Please ask questions related to the drama."

However, a reporter said to Hyomin, "The public is interested in the explanation behind the Hwayoung bullying situation."

"I'm very happy today and am here because of the hard work of the staff and other actors from 'One Thousandth Man' and don't want to trouble them by these questions. So I hope that the questions can be related to the drama," Hyomin replied with tears in her eyes.

"One Thousandth Man" is a fantasy sitcom about a Gumiho who eats 999 livers and needs to eat the 1000th liver to live, but instead she falls in love.

SBS releases 9-minute trailer for 'To The Beautiful You'

With just a day before its premiere, SBS’ most buzzed-about upcoming drama, ‘To the Beautiful You’ released a 9-minute trailer.

Based on a Japanese manga, ‘To the Beautiful You’ is about Goo Jae Hee (Sulli), an extreme fan girl of champion high-jumper Kang Tae Joon (Minho), who tries to make a comeback from a career-threatening injury. To help revive his career, Jae Hee impersonates a guy to attend Tae Joon’s all boys high school.

‘To The Beautiful You’ will premiere on August 15th at 9:55PM KST on SBS. In the meantime, check out the trailer below.

Soyeon transferred to a hospital in Seoul

T-ara‘s Soyeon who was recently involved in a car accident has been transferred to a hospital in Seoul.

On August 13th at around 12:30PM, T-ara’s agency Core Contents Media reported, “Soyeon who received emergency treatment at a hospital in Gyeongbuk is currently being transferred to Seoul. They will be taking a closer look at her condition for a more thorough check up.”

In the photos that StarNews was able to obtain, Soyeon was hospitalized with a brace around her neck, and reportedly appeared to be in a lot of pain.

Her agency added, “There are no major external injuries, however, she is in a lot of shock, and has been since the accident. She has been experiencing pain in her neck, shoulders, and back. For now, we have decided to cancel the ‘Haeundae Lovers‘ shoot she has today, and whether or not she will attend future shoots will be decided with the staff members after observing her condition, however, Soyeon is displaying great determination and ambition for this project.”

Ahead of this, Soyeon was on her way to film KBS 2TV‘s new mini series ‘Haeundae Lovers‘ via her company car, when the vehicle slipped in the rainy weather on the way down to Busan. The car hit the guard rail, and flipped on its side.

In the vehicle were Soyeon and her stylists in addition to the driver, and they were immediately transferred to the emergency room at a nearby hospital where they received CT scans.

素妍雨路上出车祸 正在医院接受精密检查

T-ara素妍走雨路时发生了交通事故。 

正拍摄KBS2电视台周一周二剧《海云台恋人们》的素妍8月13日上午6点40分左右前往拍摄现场釜山的途中，经过龟尾附近时，由于经纪人开的车在雨天的路上打滑，车子撞上隔离带，随后翻倒在路边田埂中。当时车中共乘坐有素妍和2名造型师，加上司机一共四人。

现在，素妍和其他人已被送往附近医院，正在接受精密检查。经纪公司方面表示“雨天路上非常滑，虽然大家都伤得不重，但素妍说脖子部位非常疼痛”，“正在等待检查结果。电视剧的拍摄暂时延期了几天”。素妍在《海云台恋人们》中饰演赵茹贞的妹妹李宽顺（音）。
