'Emergency Couple' premieres + cast to fulfill their promises if the drama reaches 5% in ratings

In celebration of the premiere of 'Emergency Couple' this weekend, the cast made a promise to donate coal briquettes if the drama reaches a 5% viewer rating.

Song Ji Hyo held up her sign, in which she wrote, "5% viewer rating promise! Choi Yeo Jin, Choi Jin Hyuk, Lee Pil Mo, Clara... We will donate warm briquettes! Let 2014 be a warm year! 'Emergency Couple' hwaiting!" Choi Yeo Jin also wrote, "We will give and donate a 1 ton truck of briquettes!" Choi Jin Hyuk, Lee Pil Mo, and Claraalso promised to donate briquettes.

'Emergency Couple' kicked off on the 24th with an average viewer rating of 2.4% and even recorded 3.7% during one point of the episode. If you're wondering why the ratings sound low, it's because this is broadcast on tvN, which is a cable network. 'Reply 1994', which was the previous drama during this time slot on tvN, kicked off with 2.5% on the first episode and eventually rose up in ratings to reach 11.9% with its final episode, which was quite a feat for a cable channel program. As the first episode ratings are quite similar, it's expected that 'Emergency Couple' will easily surpass the 5%.

Shindong talks about his PC cafe business + the need for singers to have get-togethers

On the January 24 installment of KBS 2TV's 'Full House,' Shindong talked about his business ventures.

He said, "I have raised a young enterprise.  The main business is the PC cafe.  I am operating at least 250 computers.  I have good sales, too."

He also talked about friendships in the entertainment world.  Shindong said, "Comedians become closer friends through meetings for brainstorming, but all singers do is greet one another when they go on and off the stage.  The singers should also have a regular get-together once a month.  Let's do our get-together at my PC cafe.  [Idols also] need to know about taxes and utility bills."
