T-ara's Soyeon talks about her boyfriend Oh Jong Hyuk and his past military service

Girl group T-ara recently had a meeting with the media at a cafe in the vicinity of Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul.  It comes as no surprise that on this day, Soyeon was asked questions about her publicized relationship with Click B's Oh Jong Hyuk.

When asked if her boyfriend was giving her a lot of support, Soyeon said, "Of course he is giving support.  He believes that I will do well and gives me support to that end."

She was also asked what was the driving force that helped her to wait for her boyfriend for two years while he was serving the army.  Soyeon replied, "In relation to starting a relationship, my boyfriend also had a very cautious attitude so the both of us worried a lot about it, but ultimately started to date after enough thinking and trusting.  There was the problem of the military and the fact that I had activities as an idol.

In a strange way, I thought waiting was the easiest.  Waiting was the easiest because the person going to the army was someone I liked.  He must have endured a lot of hardships while there, but he still took good care of me when I was being noisy or was hurt by something.  If anything, it felt like we could strengthen our trust in each other during those two years."

Oh Jong Hyuk's discharge from the military was also delayed by approximately a month due to special training in the cold, snowy weather for the marine corps.  Soyeon said, "Truthfully, at that time, he did consult me about delaying his discharge for about a month, but I was worried as his girlfriend.  However, I can never express it.  This is because he has a very strong conviction so in regards to his making a decision, it was definitely not my place to give an opinion.

I don't think I was concerned about the hurt from waiting longer, but worried because he would be going through dangerous training.  I see it as something worth bragging about.  Even in the beginning, he could have chosen to be an entertaining soldier or something else, but he wanted to be in the marine corps since he was young.  Even in there, I insisted on the search party, but in the end, I watched him achieve what he wanted and at his side, found him very cool."

T-ara reveal they don't get much sleep during promotional period for comebacks

On October 14, YTN aired an episode of 'Ho Joon Suk's News-In' in which the T-ara members revealed their busy schedule for promoting their recent comeback.

Soyeon explained their preparations before pursuing activities: "We go through song selection, recording, and dance practice.  We only get to stand on stage after multiple meetings with the experts on stage performance, outfits, and more."

In relation to the time spent practicing, Qri said, "There is never a set time period, but we usually do not sleep very much after they decide on our comeback date."

Boram addressed the question about giving up, saying, "It is difficult to fight sleepiness." For the follow-up question, Soyeon elaborated, "As this is the busiest time for us, I believe we sleep only about two to three hours."

As the girls are undoubtedly working hard to promote their latest album, make sure to check out their songs and performances!

T-ara members share that they've learned to receive negative comments as constructive criticism

T-ara have been through a rough patch with the controversies and they shared that one of the ways they were able to get through it was by learning to receive negative comments as constructive criticism.

During an interview held at a cafe in Nonhyeondong, Seoul on the 14th, T-ara opened up about their hateful comments that blew up online due to their controversy. Hyomin shared, "I don't look at it carefully but I skim through it. In the past, I would search a lot of negative comments and find comments such as "You need to work on this" and "This is so-so", but now I try to find positive comments... These days, I feel better if encouraging posts increase a bit and as the positive posts increase. [Our members] say fighting to each other and read the posts to each other sometimes."

Boram also shared her new outlook on the hate, "The negative posts help us to reflect on ourselves and realize new things. I don't think of it as negative posts but I think to myself, 'We did it this way and we should fix it', and I try to receive it positively. I cried a lot upon reading nonsensical and inappropriate comments but now that doesn't affect me that much anymore. I think it is for our benefit and growth so rather than getting hurt, I learn from it."

T-ara were able to overcome their controversy by making a successful domestic comeback with "Number 9" and "I Know the Feeling".
