How are Baek Ji Young’s wedding and her ‘I Am a Singer’ days related?

PD Kim Young Hee revealed that the reason he was going to be officiating Baek Ji Young and Jung Suk Won‘s wedding ceremony was because of the bride-to-be’s appearance on MBC‘s ’I Am a Singer‘.

He revealed, “I’m going to be officiating Baek Ji Young’s ceremony. It came about after I met her in 2011 when I was directing ‘I Am a Singer’.” Kim Young Hee was the original PD of ‘I Am a Singer’, and Baek Ji Young appeared as one of the first contestants on the show. He revealed, “When we were preparing ‘I Am a Singer’, it was hard to [get singers to agree to appear]. When I asked her to join, she kept thinking about it. In the end, she told me, ‘I don’t know when I’ll get married, but officiate my ceremony when I do,’ so I said okay right away.”

He also confessed, “I’ve actually never met Jung Suk Won. But apparently the bride, the groom, and the officiator are supposed to eat before the wedding, so we’re going to be meeting mid-May.”

Baek Ji Young and actor Jung Suk Won will be tying the knot on June 2nd KST.

f(x)’s Krystal in talks of being the female lead in upcoming SBS drama ‘Heirs’

f(x)‘s Krystal may soon be making her debut into dramas.

Krystal has participated in sitcoms before, but she’s never acted for a full on drama before. It’s been reported that she’s being strongly considered for the female lead role in ‘Heirs‘ along with Lee Min Hoand Park Shin Hye. The staff of the show have begun to check with her schedule for the second half of the year.

SBS confirmed, “It’s true that the staff approached Krystal. They haven’t confirmed her casting, but they’re watching her with interest.”

The drama is a trendy drama that talks about the love and friendship of rich high school students. There’s no word still on when the drama will begin airing, or even when it’ll start filming, but the cast looks very promising!

SHINee’s Taemin voted the idol most likely to be filial

Taemin was chosen as the idol mostly likely to be good to his parents.

An online portal site ran a poll from April 30th to May 7th asking users, “Which idol will be the most filial to their parents?“. Out of the 379,633 total votes, Taemin placed first with 37.2% of the vote. Even though Taemin had debuted at a very young age, he previously revealed that he gifted his parents with a house in Cheongdamdong as well as an expensive car.

Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon wasn’t far too behind Taemin as she received 31.1% of the vote. Taeyeon also revealed last year that she’d bought her parents a house that had 3 bathrooms. In third place was IU with 16.1% of the vote. The “Nation’s Little Sister” revealed that she had gifted her father with his dream car.

Big Bang‘s G-Dragon, JYJ‘s Yoochun, and Kim Hyun Joong followed respectively in the rankings.
