KARA becomes the endorsement models for ‘K-Swiss’

KARA has become the new endorsement models for footwear brand ‘K-Swiss‘, fitting in perfectly with the bright and active image of the brand.

The group recently finished shooting their pictorial for the 2013 S/S season at Korea University and showed off their individual style know-hows through the ‘it’s my show time’ concept for the shoot.

K-Swiss stated, “KARA was selected as endorsement models because of their powerful dancing abilities and liveliness shown through variety shows fit well with our dynamic brand image.”

The group will continue to participate in various promotional activities with K-Swiss for the rest of the year, so look forward to more pictorials and CFs from the girls!

Baek Ji Young to perform “My Ear’s Candy” with Lee Seung Gi at her upcoming concert

Singer-actor Lee Seung Gi will be joining Baek Ji Young on stage for her upcoming solo concert!

On February 16th, Baek Ji Young will hold her first exclusive concert in seven years, titled ‘An Outing After 7 Years‘, at the Jamsil Arena in Seoul. For her “My Ear’s Candy” performance, the singer plans on showcasing a sexy duet with the help of Lee Seung Gi instead of 2PM‘s Taecyeon.

A representative of her agency stated on the 4th, “Baek Ji Young aims to put on an upgraded, sexy couple dance with Lee Seung Gi at her solo concert. The two stars previously put on a collaboration performance of ‘My Ear’s Candy’ at a music festival in 2009. Lee Seung Gi will shed his exemplary and pretty boy image for a charismatic transformation.”

Baek Ji Young’s concert will be split into two shows on February 16th with the first beginning at 3PM and the next at 7:30PM. She will then kick off her nationwide tour in March and visit cities such as Busan, Daegu, and Daejun.

Won Bin and f(x)’s Victoria couple up as endorsement models for ‘Center Pole’

Actor Won Bin and f(x)‘s Victoria have been selected as the endorsement models for the outdoor brand ‘Center Pole‘!

To accompany their announcement, the brand has pre-released a photo in which Won Bin, who fits perfectly with the masculine and proper lifestyle image of the brand, and Victoria, who is also known for her outstanding visuals and bright personality, show off their chemistry together in their outdoor attire, sparking a bit of envy among fans.

Although it was their first time working together, Won Bin and Victoria apparently impressed the staff with their natural poses and teamwork during the photoshoot as well as their upcoming CFs.

Center Pole will release the CF featuring the two models as well as a pictorial this upcoming Spring.

KARA to possibly advance into the European market with the help of Kobalt Music

After taking on the Korean and Japanese music scene, it’s been announced that KARA may possibly advance into the European market!

It’s said that music publisher Kobalt Music feels that KARA has what it takes to be a success in the European music scene judging from their success in Korea and Japan, and recently offered to help the group reach out to the markets of United Kingdom and Europe.

Kobalt Music’s proposal includes KARA releasing songs from Kobalt Music, and the company distributing the tracks in the United Kingdom and Europe. DSP Media confirmed that they have indeed received such an offer on the 4th, commenting,“We will fully review the offer.”

KARA recently became the first Korean girl group to hold a solo concert at the exclusive Tokyo Domeand has been one of the representative Korean artists in Japan, and now have fans anticipating to see a possible expansion out into the European market.

SHINee to star in MBC’ Lunar New Year special ‘SHINee’s Wonderful Day’

SHINee will be starring in their own MBC Lunar New Year special titled, ‘SHINee’s Wonderful Day‘.

The special will feature the SHINee members visiting various countries and enjoying themselves in the respective countries. For the special, Onew visited Thailand, Jonghyun visited Japan, Key and Minhovisited England, and Taemin visited Switzerland.

The producers of the program stated, “The program is a real documentary program. Since the SHINee members are busy and it’s hard for them to go on break, they went to rest in different countries, and we recorded their various experiences on camera.”

Other than SHINee’s own vacation special on February 9th, MBC also will be airing the highly controversial ‘Idol Star Athletics Championship‘ on the 11th.

Seungyeon reveals she doesn’t split the profits from her MC gig with KARA members

Seungyeon revealed that didn’t have to split the profits with her fellow members for her MC gig on ‘Animal Farm‘.

She was a guest on SBS ‘Challenge 1000 Song‘ not as a KARA member, but as an MC for ‘Animal Farm’. She said, “KARA just wrapped up our Japanese Tokyo Dome concert, and now we’re all focusing on our own individual activities. Today, I’m here as an ‘Animal Farm’ MC. I never thought this would happen.”

MC Lee Hwi Jae asked, “Do you split the pay from ‘Animal Farm’ with the other KARA members, or does it go straight to you?“. Seungyeon laughed and said, “I split it, not with the members, but rather with my label.”

It seems with her comments that Seungyeon is hinting that the rest of the members will be active in their own promotions. Currently, we know Seungyeon to be the busiest member, with her recent casting as one of the leading roles in ‘Jang Ok Jung, Living in Love‘.
