Ailee confirmed as the opening act for the ’2012 MAMA’

 

Ailee has been given the honor of opening the ‘2012 MAMA‘ ceremony on November 30th.

 

According to broadcast officials, Ailee has agreed to attend the live ceremony and is currently preparing what will be an amazing opening stage in secrecy. As one of two rookies that have made the biggest impact this year, Ailee did phenomenally on the charts with “Heaven” and followed up with “I’ll Show You” in the second half of the year.

 

As for male performances, the MAMA will see artists like Psy, Big Bang, Super Junior and more, along with confirmed attendances by HyunA and SISTAR in the girl group category. As the biggest solo hit of the year, many are anticipating what Ailee has up her sleeves.

Eunhyuk wishes Sungmin would stop appearing on variety shows?

On November 26th, Shindong, Eunhyuk, and Sungmin were guests on KBS 2TV‘s ‘Hello‘ for the 100th episode special. On the show, Sungmin confessed, “Lately I’ve been worried about appearing on variety shows. I worry because I suck at them.”

 

The MCs advised, “Ask your bandmates (for advice)“, to which Sungmin replied, “They don’t teach me. They’re all busy with their own things“. To this, Eunhyuk cut in and jokingly shared, “I wish he couldn’t come out on variety shows“, making everyone on the set burst into laughter.

JYP Entertainment artists along with G.O attended the VIP premiere of Seulong‘s movie, ‘26 Years‘.

2AM was the first to step onto the photo op zone, where Jo Kwon commented, “We came to support the movie because our member, Seulong, is cast in the movie. He’s our member, so we’re looking forward to this. I hope the movie does well. ’26 Years’, fighting!“.

2PM‘s Junho, Wooyoung, Taecyeon stepped up next with MBLAQ‘s G.O. Taecyeon said, “2PM and MBLAQ will have fun watching this movie. ’26 Years’, fighting!“.

Suzy spoke for the miss A-Baek Ah Yeon group, where she said, “I hope ’26 Years’ does well. And, Seulong-oppa, fighting!“.

Yenny and Sun of the Wonder Girls came out next, and Yenny expressed, “We came to watch ’26 Years’, and I heard it was a very meaningful movie. I think it’ll be great. I’m looking forward to it.” Sun added, “It was a movie where everyone worked hard, so I hope everyone takes interest in it. We’ll have fun watching it, too. ’26 Years’, fighting!“. Yubin and Lim came on separately, and Yubin said, “We came to watch this movie thanks to Seulong oppa. I think it’ll be great, and I’m looking forward to it. ’26 Years’, fighting!“.

KARA to release solo collection album in Korea

KARA will be releasing its solo collection album in Korea!

According to DSP Media, KARA’s ‘KARA Solo Collection’ album, which was released in Japan on September 5th, will be released in Korea. The group plans to release their solo tracks along with each corresponding music video starting with Nicole and Hara’s tracks on November 28th, followed by Gyuri, Seungyeon and Jiyoung’s tracks on the 30th.

DSP Media also revealed that KARA members participated in the creation of their tracks. The members took part in writing the lyrics for their individual songs as well as directing its music videos to further display their own colors onto the tracks.

The regular and limited edition of the ‘KARA Solo Collection’ will be available on December 4th.

T-ara receives warm welcom in Vietnam

T-ara recently visited Vietnam and displayed their popularity in the country.

Over 2,000 fans were waiting for the ladies when they arrived in Hanoi, Vietnam on the 25th. Even before the girls landed, the Vietnamese fans waited for them since early in the morning, chanting their name all at once, showing how popular the group was. When T-ara finally arrived, the fans almost fainted as they screamed and cried the girls’ names, rushing forward with their cameras with so much force that even the security guards could not contain them.

Even after they left, the fans cried out for T-ara, further proving T-ara’s unbelievable popularity in Vietnam.

Ailee talks about her impression of K.Will

Rookie singer Ailee shared her thoughts about K.Will’s look.

On November 26th, cable channel Mnet’s ‘Beatles Code’ featured guests Shin Hyo Bum, Kim Jong Kook, K.Will and Ailee.

MC Tak Jae Hoon introduced K.Will, “He’s not an idol nor a veteran singer, so he’s sort of awkwardly in the middle.” K.Will didn’t seem to be bothered by Tak Jae Hoon’s teasing and he just laughed it off.

Then MC Tak Jae Hoon asked Ailee, “He’s one of the hottest male soloists these days. How do you feel when you see K.Will?” The female singer answered, “He’s charming, but not handsome”, and everyone burst into laughter.

Netizens commented, “He’s handsome”, “Ailee was so funny” and “I agree to her.”

MAMA 2012 releases video teasers for Super Junior

Super Junior has been confirmed for the upcoming 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) and the group hinted fans about their new kind of performance at the event.

On November 26, Mnet released a mysterious teaser about Super Junior performance. In the video, the members are dressed in tuxedos and mentioned to perform a musical like stage that has never been done before.

A representative stated, “They’re expected to give upgraded performances for the audience at the 2012 MAMA, so please look forward to them.”
