T-ara clarifies why SISTAR’s Hyorin spoke to them informally

T-ara has set out to clarify the rumors surrounding the controversy that occurred after SISTAR‘s Hyorinspoke informally to them on a recent television broadcast.

On the July 14th episode of KBS‘ ‘Entertainment Relay‘, T-ara and SISTAR guested on the ‘Idol Big Match‘ corner. After the show, viewers questioned why Hyorin spoke informally to the T-ara members, who are considered her seniors.

T-ara thought it was appropriate to clear the air through their agency. They expressed on the 16th, “We see SISTAR on and off stage, and we’re very close so we didn’t think much of it at the time, and it’s regrettable that it’s become a controversy now. We hope that people won’t misinterpret things after only watching [the segment that was aired].”

They continued, “SISTAR always works so hard on stage, and we’re fans of the girls. We hope that Hyorin and all of the members receive a lot of love for their good songs and continue their fighting spirit.”

Netizens commented, “It’s refreshing to hear T-ara’s clarification,” “They themselves are saying it’s okay, so why are people making a big deal,” “[People create controversies so easily],” and “I hope both parties continue to be careful though.”

‘To the Beautiful You’ releases official still cuts of Sulli’s transformation

New still cuts of f(x)‘s Sulli‘s transformation in her upcoming SBS drama, ‘To the Beautiful You‘, have been released!

Scheduled to begin airing in August, Sulli will be playing the role of the bright and enthusiastic ‘Goo Jae Hee’ who disguises herself as a boy to transfer to ‘Jini Athletic High School’ and meets ‘Tae Jun’ (played by SHINee’s Minho).

As she’s playing a girl disguised as a boy, fans have been highly curious of her boyish image transformation, especially since she’s always been known for her long, flowy hair. For the drama, however, she’s cut nearly 60 cm of it off in reality visiting a salon before the filming, and showing her determination for her character by stating, “I want to transform into ‘Goo Jae Hee’ quickly.”

She didn’t hesitate at once about the cut but did end up shedding a few tears upon seeing her strands of hair on the floor.

Producers stated, “As it is her first drama where she’s the leading role, she’s showing much determination. She’s working hard on expressing her character to the best of her ability, so please look forward to Sulli’s transformation into ‘Goo Jae Hee’.”

f(x) wraps up “Electric Shock” promotions with nine #1 wins

Girl group f(x) successfully wrapped up their promotions for “Electric Shock“.

On July 15th, the girls put on a final performance on their new hit song “Electric Shock” on SBS‘Inkigayo‘.

With “Electric Shock”, the girls obtained a ‘triple crown’ by earning three consecutive #1 wins on Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown‘, as well as two #1 wins on KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank‘, SBS ‘Inkigayo’, and MBC MUSIC‘s ‘Show Champion‘.

When the track was first released, “Electric Shock” immediately soared to #1 on various Korean music sites’ real-time charts, as well as on the Daily and Weekly Charts. The album also came in #1 for two weeks in a row on various album sales total charts for most albums sold.

The song also hit #1 on the iTunes Electronic Album Chart in the US and Canada, and the MV received over 10,000,000 views on YouTube within 6 days of being released.

Member Sulli will be busy filming for her new SBS drama series ‘To The Beautiful You‘, but f(x) will continue to promote as 4 members for the time being.

f(x) members reveal that they quickly grew close by farting

The members of f(x) revealed how they got comfortable with one another very quickly.

f(x) members Luna, Amber, and Krystal guest-featured on the July 16th broadcast of SBS Power FM 107.7 MHz ‘Park So Hyun’s Love Game‘.

When DJ Park So Hyun asked when they first got comfortable enough to pass gas in front of one another, Luna remarked, “Our choreography instructor passes gas and burps extremely openly and comfortably, and we got used to that kind of atmosphere. It felt natural as we were growing closer to one another. We grew closer quicker, thanks to gas!”

Park So Hyun then hilariously asked who was the first to cut the cheese, the girls responded, “No one was really first, we just all started doing it,” causing the entire studio to erupt into laughter.

雪莉剪掉60厘米的长发变身美少年

f(x)美少女雪莉破格变身为男装美少年。 

雪莉最近为了演绎SBS新周三周国剧《致美丽的你》中的男装美少女具在熙（音）一角，剪掉了一直留着的长发，大概剪了60厘米。在拍摄之前去理发店的雪莉表示“想快点变身为具在熙”，对这一形象表露了很大的热情。

雪莉剪掉了留了很长时间的头发，以明亮的面孔展现了淡然的模样，但是一看到剪掉的头发，她就后悔地禁不住流下眼泪。 

制作公方传达“该作品为雪莉第一次担任主演的作品，她的热情比任何时候都要高涨。

为了更好地演好具在熙这一角色，她正在全力以赴”，“公司方让我们留心观察完全沉浸在具在熙角色的雪莉的变身”。 在预计8月播放的《致美丽的你》中，雪莉饰演明朗的、充满朝气的热血少女。这是她第一次挑战电视剧主演的角色。在剧中，我们会看到她为了见到在跳高比赛中给自己创造奇迹的珉豪而伪装转学到体育高中等有个性的模样。

2PM wins double crown in Tower Records Awards

2PM has been crowned “Best Artist” as well as the artist with the “Best Single” by Tower Records.

The Japanese music retailer released the results of the “K-Pop Lovers! Awards” on July 14 and awarded various K-pop acts by tallying up sales figures and votes from netizens. As well as the official sales records, netizens were able to vote via blogs, Facebook and other social networking Web sites.

Tower Records deemed 2PM’s single “Beautiful” as the best K-pop song from the early half of the year. SHINee’s “Sherlock” grabbed the second spot while Kim Hyun Joong’s “KISS KISS/ Lucky Guy” claimed third.

2PM especially displayed their overwhelming popularity grabbing the number one spot on the artist category as well. Meanwhile, Super Junior and SHINee were voted second and third most popular K-pop artists.
