Netizens take notice that most of T-ara’s characters in dramas and movies end up dying

Netizens have recently taken notice of an eerie trend with death for the acting characters portrayed by the members in T-ara.
A post on an online community board brought to attention that T-ara was on the verge of becoming actresses that specialize in character deaths, pointing out that nearly every role they’ve taken on had ended up in death or near-death situations. The post went on to compare them to Kim Kap Soo, an actor well known for his many character deaths.
Eunjung had played the role of a girl who committed suicide in the movie ‘World of Silence‘, and also the role of a student who was choked to death in the movie ‘Death Bell‘. In her recent movie ‘White‘, her character was trampled to death by her fans.
Jiyeon‘s characters also suffered a similar fate, as she played the role of a girl who had been burned to death by rebellious classmates in her MBC drama ‘Soul‘. In the group’s “Lovey Dovey” music video, her character died by the Busan ocean.
In ‘Gisaengryung‘, Hyomin‘s character died while coming out of the bathroom, and in ‘Gyebaek‘, she died trying to set the spirit of her husband on fire.
Netizens also pointed out that if their characters weren’t dead, they suffered from near-death experiences. In ‘Death Bell 2‘, Jiyeon was almost killed but managed to survive, and in ‘Jungle Fish 2‘, her character attempted to commit suicide but failed. Eunjung’s character in ‘Dream High‘ also contemplated suicide.
Netizens commented, “Seeing it all laid out like this makes the OP seem like a real T-ara fan”, “It’s kind of funny calling them Kap Soo Idols”, and “The members all have a lot of acting experience.”
