KARA endorses KIA’s “Pride”

Korean automobile manufacturers Kia and Hyundai are some of the most profitable in the world. In North America, Kia is currently running a successful advertising campaign using hamsters but they’ve taken a different approach in Korea as they’ve recently recruited the lovely ladies of KARA to endorse their new “Pride” model of automobiles.

Tony Moly's new fall make up line "Disco Make up by T-ara"

Tony Moly will start a new make-up line "Disco Make-up by T-ara" (Make-up Diva by T-ara).

Tony Moly's Product Planning Team Leader Kim Joohee said on the 27th, "The retro style consisting of feminine retro accented or animated pieces is a craze for the 2011 F/W fashion world. Transparent skin-tones with retro color covered eyes and lips gives off a feeling of youthfulness and glam. The make-up style can also be directed differently and used at any occasion or location."

Girls are looking for make-up that can make them feel like a "Disco Diva," meaning eye-shadows with bright colors like a disco ball that can give off an intense feeling and lip-glosses directed in lighter/softer colors.

Girls nowadays are imitating the stage make-up from the 60s', which can be mysterious or enchanting. Brown Khaki Smokey eye make-up is also something that is popular right now for the fall because it gives off a mature look.

tvN K-Pop Star Hunt Video Submission Deadline Extended to October 9th

K-Pop Superstar hopefuls have two extra weeks for a chance to become the next K-Pop Sensation!

Singapore, Sep 26 – tvN has exciting news to everyone who thought they missed the deadline to enter the tvN K-Pop Star Hunt! Due to an overwhelming response to the competition, tvN is announcing a new extended deadline to Sunday, Oct 9th 2011! K-Pop fans between the ages of 11 to 29 in Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand will have two more weeks to upload their original, individual song-and-dance routines onto the official website of tvN K-Pop Star Hunt (www.tvnstarhunt.com) for their chance to become a CUBE trainee.

Since tvN K-Pop Star Hunt debuted in mid-August, thousands of amazing videos have poured in from the five countries, among which Taiwan and Philippines lead the way in the total number of entries. With diverse song choices, stunning voices and captivating dances, the aspiring superstars are continually turning up the heat on the competition, making it an exciting but difficult job to pick the Top 100 from each country for the local auditions! The hottest video entries are posted on the respective country pages so don’t forget to check out the website daily to see who has the most popular videos. The Top 100 contestants and local audition dates will also be announced on the website soon.

There is no limit to how many times each person can enter, so feel free to submit as many different individual performance videos as you want! Act now as there are only two weeks left!

T-ara and Yoon Sang Hyun released Himart Refrigerator CF

T-ara received love call for endorsement from Himart Refrigerator.

T-ara’s Hyomin chops off her long hair

The members of T-ara seem to be enjoying some drastic changes in style — inspired by Eunjung‘s longer hair extensions, Hyomin decided to get a new look as well, and boldly chopped off her long locks.

On September 25th, Hyomin wrote on her Twitter, “Since it’s becoming fall, I’ve undergone a change in mindset. All of the T-ara members are working hard for our comeback on November 1st, so please anticipate it.”

Netizens commented, “Short hair suits you”, “You look like a chic fall woman”, and “Hopefully this change gives you some fighting spirit.”

T-ara is busily shuttling back and forth between Korea and Japan. The girls left for Japan on September 26th but Hyomin is still in Korea to film for her drama, ‘Gyebaek‘.

KARA’s Gyuri ends her role as a DJ

KARA‘s leader, Gyuri, will end her role as a DJ on the radio show ‘Shim Shim Tapa‘ on October 2.

DSP Media Entertainment stated, “Because of her busy schedule, Gyuri will have to quit the radio show she has been a DJ for the last year and a half. We do not know who Gyuri’s successor will be, but Shindong will have to work solo for the time being.”

Gyuri will be busy with her role in the musical “200 Pounds Beauty“ as well as her schedule with KARA in Japan.
