4Minute Hyuna Called Sistar Hyorin DEVIL?!

This February 2nd, during SBS's special program for the Lunar New Year recorded in Pattaya (Thailand), King of Idols, some popular idols were confronted to one another during games.
After the dancing segment and the wrestling challenge, teams were opposed in a game during which the first to eat the weed suspended on the horizontal bar would win the face-off.

For this game, Hyunah and 2AM's Jinwoon were up against Park Jungmin and SISTAR's Hyorin, the male idols supporting the female idols on their shoulders.
Hyunah, good at shoulder riding, was first to get near the weed.

However, Hyorin started to attack her and grappled her. Hyorin definitely showed her competitive spirit by trying to throw Hyunah, who was withstanding and holding the horizontal bar firmly, into the water.
In response to her unceasing attacks, Hyunah acted irritated and even bluntly called her a devil. She ended up begging Hyorin not to eat the weed.

Hyunah eventually got herself together and tried to eat the weed once again. This time, she was disturbed by Park Jungmin who was sprinkling water on her and hence called her a devil.
Whoever the devil was, the pair showing its strong competitive spirit (Jungmin and Hyorin) won the challenge.

After KARA Issue, The Group Is Back For Activities!

On January 31st, it was announced that all 5 members of KARA would resume their activities.

According to a report from the Korean media on the 1st, the 5 members were at a studio in Seoul on the 31st. They were there shooting the jacket for their next Japanese single, which is scheduled for release in March. On January 19th, the news of their crisis came about and they have now restarted activities, it’s been 12 days since then.

They also plan on attending their shoots for TV Tokyo’s drama “URAKARA”. On the other hand, a return to activities in Korean doesn’t seem to be on the horizon.

KARA's DVD In Top 10 On Oricon

KARA’s DVD BOX set “KARADISE 2011~SEASON’S GREETING FROM THAI” (released 1/26), has sold 10,000 in its first week. It entered Oricon’s Weekly Comprehensive DVD Ranking at #9. This is their first time entering this ranking in the TOP 10.

Until now, the best they have done was “KARA VACATION” (released September 2010), which was #11 in the Blu-ray Disc ranking.

Despite having a group break up crisis, KARA’s latest album “Girl’s Talk” (Released November 2010) was #4 in today’s weekly album ranking. They have spent 4 weeks in the TOP 5.

Alex & f(x)’s Luna perform a duet for “Idol Star 7080 Best Singer”

Clazziquai’s Alex and f(x)’s Luna came together for a special duet on MBC’s Lunar New Year special, “Idol Star 7080 Best Singer.”

Thirteen idol teams participated in a competition that would crown a king or queen, based on who gave the best cover of songs from the ’70s and ’80s.

Although they had only a short window for rehearsal, Alex and Luna delivered a lovely performance of Lee Moonse’s “Breakup Story.” Indeed, they managed to earn the jealousy of every member on set!

The duet has increased the buzz surrounding the two, as they were already known for choosing each other for their ‘ideal halves’ on various variety shows. Clazziquai’s Horan added to the excitement by commenting, “Alex has a charm that makes any woman fall in love.”

4minute reveals “WHY” album covers + tracklists + changed release date

4minute announced the release of their first Japanese single of 2011, “WHY“, just under two weeks ago, and a little while after that announcement, they revealed a 45-second preview of the track.

Just recently, the group revealed the album covers and tracklists for the three versions of the single. As previously covered, it will come in two limited editions and one normal edition. The limited editions (A & B) will contain a DVD with some combination of a PV, behind-the-scenes footage, live footage, and a trading card. The normal edition (C) will just come with a trading card, of which there are five possible to collect.

Also of note is that “WHY” will now be released on March 9th, which is a change from March 2nd, though no reason was given.

Which team will win in “Dance of the Year”?

The trainees were soaring after receiving their special lessons at a sauna.

The February 1^st and 9^th episode of KBS 2TV’s “Dream High,” the trainees were able to make their debut stage in “Dance of the Year.”

Song Sam Dong (Kim Soohyun), Go Hye Mi (Miss A’s Suzy), Jason (2PM’s Wooyoung), andKim Pil Sook (IU) were to create choreography with birds as a theme. Through the use of white feathers, they were able to liven up the feelings of a bird and through Song Sam Dong’s solo dance, they had placed 3^rd and were moved into the arts class.

On this day, they even got carried away by the police for being at a night club. Eventually, the place they chose was a sauna. Not caring about the location, their results were satisfying after much practice.

The team Yoon Baek Hee (T-ARA’s Eunjung) and Hyun Shi Hyuk (2PM’s Taecyeon) were in performed a choreography with their theme being snakes. They had won the competition, but they were heartbroken. The reason was because Hyun Shi Hyuk saw Song Sam Dong kiss Go Hye Mi on the cheek while Go Hye Mi genuinely congratulated Yoon Baek Hee on her win.

Meanwhile, as Hyun Shi Hyuk’s popularity grows, the truth of his father being the CEO of a corporate company has been revealed. His father had announced Hyun Shi Hyuk to be his adopted child. After revealing everything, Hyun Shi Hyuk visited Go Hye Mi and hugged her from behind, garnering the attention of the viewers.

SBS’s “King of Idols” airs, featuring various members of top idol groups in Thailand

To celebrate the Lunar New Year, SBS recently aired it’s New Year’s Special, “King of Idols.” For the special, various members from top idol groups 2PM, SHINee, Super Junior, Big Bang, KARA, After School, f(x), 4minute, and other top idol groups all recently flew to Pattaya, Thailand to film for this special.

The various idol members participate in various games to be chosen as the King and Queen. Check out all of the fun from King of Idols below!
